1994 Nissan 300zx Base Convertible 2-door 3.0l on 2040-cars

US $7,995.00
Year:1994 Mileage:77699
Location:

1994 Nissan 300ZX convertible with 77k miles on it since new. Black on black leather with a 5 speed manual transmission. Naturally aspirated (not turbo) V6 engine. All OEM parts and never modified. The second owner of this car is selling it after nearly 20 years of ownership as the couple simplifies down to a single car.

The convertible top is in perfect condition and all power seats, windows and all other electrics work properly. The engine and mechanicals are in good to excellent condition. The body shows the wear of the years with paint issues/chips in places, a few small dents and a driver side front fender that appears to have been repainted by the first owner. Interior is in good condition and leather is holding up well, but there are signs of wear and a discoloration on the passenger seat. The main belt may need to be replaced as there is a chirping sound on startup in colder weather, but it goes away as soon as the car has forward movement. Under heavy rain, a few drops of water will come in at the pivot joint where the roof gasket meets the window, but there are no holes or other leaks. The interior has squeaks and rattles as should be expected in a 20 year old convertible.

The car does have a manufacturer buyback on the car records, but the title itself is clean. The car was sold to the current owner by a Nissan dealership in California without either party, at the time, knowing that the car had a buyback on its records. Once the dealership found out they sold a car that should not have been sold, they contacted the owner to inform him of the situation. After reviewing the alternative car offered by the dealership and without knowing why the car was repurchased, he decided to keep the car. The dealership provided an extended warranty and covered any and all repairs for the first several years of ownership. The only issue that could be identified was the roof. The convertible top was replaced during this warranty period and we believe that the reason for the buyback was a perpetually leaky roof as described. The car has never had any further issues and, in nearly 20 years of ownership, has only ever needed normal maintenance and repairs. I'm happy to provide any interested buyers a full in-person inspection of the vehicle and accommodate for an inspection by a reputable mechanic of their choosing.

Car will not be shipped. Car must be picked up in/near San Diego, CA. Payment in cash, cashiers check preferred. Would prefer to finalize sale in-person to sign over title. All sales final and the car is offered as-is with no warranty.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have as well as provide as much detail as possible about the vehicle condition.

Mercedes was set to sell version of Nissan Titan, now Infiniti might instead

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

Mercedes-Benz Titan. Mercedes-Benz Frontier. Mercedes-Benz pickup truck. None of these things roll off the tongue particularly well. We'd like to think that's the reason Daimler opted to kill the idea of rebadged Titan and Frontier pickups from corporate ally Nissan. In reality, the execution before the Frankfurt Motor Show was due to more complicated issues.
Yes, Mercedes, byword for German luxury, style and quality, would have slapped a three-pointed star on a pair of Japanese pickup trucks that have failed to resonate with consumers in the world's largest truck market. That slapping of badges isn't much of an exaggeration, at least on the outside. According to the report from Road & Track, the truck's front clip would have been tweaked, but beyond that, the sheetmetal would have been unchanged. The interior would have received a more thorough going-over by the team at Mercedes, while the suspension and noise, vibration and harshness tuning would have also received significant attention.
The trucks would have ended up being sold through the light-commercial branch of Mercedes-Benz - the same folks that will happily sell you a Sprinter van - had the deal gone through. Issues arose, though, first with the engines. Mercedes wanted a wider range of powertrains to allow it to tune models for specific markets, while Nissan said it couldn't engineer the wide variety of engines that MB wanted to drop under the hood. For the smaller truck, meanwhile, MB was interested in a hybrid or plug-in variant, according to R&T, although this was also shot down by Nissan.

2015 Nissan Versa Note adds sporty-ish SR trim

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

The funny, little Nissan Versa Note is getting a new trim level - two, actually - for the 2015 model year. And the one you see above is the sporty-ish Note SR, making its debut at the Chicago Auto Show this week.
Underneath, it's the same Versa Note we've already driven, complete with Nissan's 109-horsepower, 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine and up to 40 miles per gallon highway. The SR's changes are purely cosmetic, with a revised front fascia featuring smoked headlamps, standard foglamps and black chrome accents. Those are matched with new dark-finished 16-inch alloy wheels, revised mirrors and side sills, along with a new rear roof spoiler.
A few interior enhancements have been made, as well, with the addition of a "370Z-inspired" leather-wrapped steering wheel, suede-like fabric on the seats with orange accents and a piano-black center stack.

Here are the best-selling cars and trucks from January 2015

Fri, Feb 6 2015

Every month, Autoblog slogs through all the sales figures reported by automakers that do business in the United States, and, after a little bit of sorting, we put it into an easy-to-read chart in an attempt to make it as easy as possible to follow the ins and outs of sales and shipments. But that only covers the brands themselves, not the individual models they sell. And we think you'd all be interested in knowing which vehicles beat their rivals in sales from month to month, so we've put together this handy gallery to keep you in the know. While the leader of the pack may not come as much of a surprise, the order that the top ten finishes in changes frequently – due to automaker deals, the price of gas, etc. – and we've included some statistics to help you see how their current performance stacks up to month's past.
