Very clean and rare 5 speed manual 1993 300ZX Hardtop (Slicktop). No Accidents! If you want a collector’s car or a hotrod, you have found it here.  1 of 400 made in 1993 and only about 2,000 slicktops ever made.

VIN Number: JN1RZ24H3PX535739

This is a non turbo.  The odometer reads 155K miles but the engine only has about 53K miles.  Crate engine from Canada installed at 100,000 miles.

The following is a list of modifications:
Stillen dual cat back exhaust ($1K)
After market Stillen headers
Injen cold air intake
NOS system
Duel Friction Center Force II Clutch
After market underdrive pulley
Tinted glass windows
Hardwired Passport radar detector
Cross drilled front rotors
Greddy front BIG fascia front bumper installed in 2004
Twin pod 10mm piller gauges

Here are some good things about the car:
1. Clean title and no accidents!
2. Does not burn or leak oil
3. Alignment on the car is straight
4. Suspension is still good
5. Not a lot of road noise
6. New battery installed on May 2012
7. Have original titanium 300ZX key

The N/A version of the 300ZX is truly for Z enthusiast as the rear end is about 300 pounds lighter than the turbo version.  Another advantage for the non-turbo is increased reliability as you don’t have to worry about the turbos going out.  The gearing was better for quick acceleration and the annoying 4-wheel steering (HICAS) are eliminated.  Car has a lot of potential, definitely no ricer. The Z is a true sports car with its FR (front engine-rear wheel drive) limited slip differential format.

This is a very clean car but will need a tune up since it has been sitting for over 1 year.  As a result, it runs a little rough at the moment but with a tune-up, it will run fairly smooth.  I had intentions in doing a twin turbo conversion but ran out of time and funds.  There have not been any accidents on the car so this would be the perfect candidate for modifications.  Since this is a slicktop, it will be much more balanced and will have a stronger frame than stock twin turbos.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Good luck bidding!  Also, please do not bid if you don't have any money to pay for the car.

Nissan settles with FTC over misleading dune buggy ad [w/videos]

Fri, 24 Jan 2014

A couple years ago, Nissan created a series of commercials for its compact Frontier pickup showing the truck performing outlandish stunts such as snowboarding, saving a passenger airplane from a crash landing and climbing a steep sand dune to help a stranded dune buggy. As crazy as the first two commercials were, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) took issue with the latter, titled Hill Climb, with the agency considering it to be a misleading commercial since both vehicles required a cable to reach the top of the steep dune.
As such, Ad Age is reporting that Nissan - and its ad agency TBWA Worldwide - has settled with the FTC over the ad despite the fact that it features a disclaimer stating: "Fictionalization. Do not attempt." Nissan did not have to pay out any money in the settlement, but it is prohibited "from using potentially misleading demonstrations in future advertisements for pickups." In addition to the offending commercial, posted below, we've included some of the other related videos from the same Frontier campaign.

Watch this Nissan GT-R Nismo attack the 'Ring

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

Following yesterday's spy photos of the Nissan GT-R Nismo at the Nürburgring, we've been informed that some intrepid spies have captured video of Super Godzilla lapping the track. We aren't sure which turn the first clip is showing, but the second and third are almost certainly the tough right-hander known as Bergwerk.
Like the current GT-R, the Nismo, even with what might be a new exhaust system, isn't a vehicle that sounds particularly good in a flyby. It's more of just an intense whooshing noise. Take a look at the full video from RSR Nürburgring down below.

Nissan announces 5-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty for commercial vehicles

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Nissan is a relative new-kid when it comes to the commercial van market in the US, with its commercial vehicles division only introducing the first NV vans in February 2011. But Nissan isn't letting its newcomer status keep it from challenging the established players in the segment. The company's latest shot over competitors' bows is announcing that, starting for the 2014 model year, its NV Cargo, NV Passenger and NV200 Compact Cargo vans carry a best-in-class, five-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. Their powertrain coverage also gets a 40,000-mile increase to five years/100,000 miles.
The new warranty is a huge leap over adversaries in the segment and should lure in some buyers looking for a longer term of coverage. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ram ProMaster, Ford Transit and Transit Connect all carry a three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. The Fords offer five years and 60,000 miles of powertrain coverage, while all of the others increase that to 100,000 miles. Until this announcement, Nissan had the standard thee years of coverage, as well.
The Japanese automaker is clearly hungry to grab a bigger piece of the commercial van pie. Its heavy-duty NV vans have a relatively small 5.3 percent market share in their segment as of May 2014, according to the company's figures, but the NV200 is doing better with a 19.4 percent share. The division as a whole is on the upswing, though, with sales up 88 percent so far in 2014. With just a few years under its belt, Nissan Commercial Vehicles seems unafraid to challenge the status quo in the segment. Let's see how buyers respond. Scroll down to read the full announcement about the new warranty.
