1991 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo ***please read description***

This 300zx is a great buy for anyone looking to have a fun sports car on the affordable side. The car currently has a rebuilt title which is the sole reason its not being sold for more than 10k. The current owner has had this car for around 4 years. The known history of this car is in 2011 the car was hit at a 4 way stop when someone ran the stop sign. car was hit on the passenger front corner and shifted the front frame rails to the left. insurance totaled the car and it went to a copart yard in Birmingham Alabama. a mechanic purchased it there and then later decided he didn't have time to fix it and that's where I bought it in November of 2012. Turns out that it was owned by a friend of mine who owned during the wreck and currently owns it now. he proceeded to purchase it from me and I did the repairs on the car. I replaced the front end from the firewall forward including new frame rails which are double reinforced on both sides with 5/8 inch steel plates. all work done at 113,000 miles and it now has 122,000. at that time the original engine was undamaged and went back in the car. he drove it regularly from June of 2013 until last month when the engine threw a rod. He brought the car to me and I have put an 83,000 mile domestic engine in it from my personal twin turbo. meaning it is not a jdm engine with no knowledge of its history and the reason for using my personal engine is im doing an ls1 swap. so giving all that being said the car now runs like a top and boosts as it should. from the fenders forward I used a jdm clip(hood, fenders, bumper only) and tried to get one close to color. matches decent but not 100% you do get the rare jdm fenders that are hard to get in the us. The car currently has a rebuilt title meaning it has been certified and inspected by the state to be 100% safe and meet all requirements to be driven including the airbag and modules to be replaced. in the event of a crash the airbag would deploy as normal. I cant emphasize how great a car this is and the condition of the interior shows its been taken care of. this car with a clean title easily is worth $10,000. feel free to ask questions. pictures of the rebuild are available at request. this is really a steal, make an offer

***fyi in the state of Alabama any vehicle with a SALVAGE title cannot be registered or driven on the road, THIS car has a REBUILT title which means it is legal to drive, currently is registered and insured. Reason for explaining the difference is some states are picky when they transfer titles but be rest assured now that it has a rebuilt title it is the same as if it were 100% clean, as far as transferring goes.***

my name is matt, call or text 256-683-2385, or message I can respond at anytime, thanks

pros

-runs great with plenty of power

-19 inch adr wheels

-great interior, (repairing the seam in the drivers seat before end of auction)

-kenwood radio and speakers

-custom exhaust, stainless steel from the headers back sounds great, not to loud (comes with silencers if wanted)

-custom blue lit gauges

-new wiring harness with 96+ style injectors, jim wolf ecu from z1motorsports

cons

-ac is not connected, lines are there and the compressor will come included, needs to be installed and charged. heat works

-power steering has a slight hitch in it, I would delete the hicas because I think its the culprit and run an N/A pump

-paint is great from the doors back but the front clip has some scratches and small dents, nothing major.

***I do have the fog lights for the front, just forgot to put them in when I put the bumper on. they will be on the car.***

shipping is available for roughly 550 to 700 dollars unless located with 250 miles of Huntsville Alabama then its $0.50 a mile delivery.

$500 dollar deposit due within 48 hours of auction end, any bidder with less than 10 feedback contact me before bidding or will be cancelled.

Watch a Nissan GT-R make up 17 spots on the first lap

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

By now, enthusiasts should be plenty used to seeing the Nissan GT-R passing "lesser" vehicles on the road - and let's face it, that accounts for a good 99-percent of other cars out there. But what about on the racetrack, where GT racers are all homologated to the same general specifications and tuned with an eye toward fairer competition?
Turns out Godzilla is just as formidable an adversary on the track, as demonstrated by this latest video. Shot from inside the cabin of British driver Alex Buncombe's GT3 racer during the Blancpain Endurance Series race at Monza, the video shows what happens (or at least happened this time) when a well-driven GT-R is relegated to the back of the grid - even when that grid is populated by the likes of Porsche, Aston Martin, Lamborghini and McLaren.
Buncombe and his teammates in the Nissan GT Academy Team RJN ultimately finished the race in 13th place, but what's remarkable is that they started way back in 32nd, making up 17 places on the first lap alone. Scope out the frenetic action in the video below.

Nissan recalling 104k Juke models over faulty timing chain [UPDATE]

Thu, 15 May 2014

General Motors isn't the only manufacturer that gets to issue a recall today, as Nissan is set to announce a voluntary recall of the 2011 to 2013 Juke due to a fault with the timing chain. 104,439 units are affected by this recall. The timing chain in some Jukes could deteriorate over time, leading to a warning light in the instrument cluster. In extreme cases, the chain could snap.
Owners of affected vehicles are being notified, and will need to report to their local dealership. The free repairs will replace the timing chain, chain guides and crank sprocket.
Take a look below for a short statement to Autoblog from Nissan.

Nissan had to re-edit this commercial two times to placate Aussie ad watchdog [w/poll]

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

Nissan recently aired a commercial in Australia for its Pulsar SSS hatchback - think of it as a five-door relative of our Sentra - in which a couple is seen hastily making their way to the hospital ahead of giving birth. But the ad you can watch now isn't the same ad that aired originally - in fact, Nissan had to re-edit the commercial twice before the Australian Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB) would accept it.
According to Go Auto, the original ad received complaints that it depicted unsafe and reckless driving, including speeding, following cars too closely and screeching to a halt upon arriving at the hospital. One of the complaints reportedly read: "The advertisement promotes driving behavior (rapid acceleration/deceleration/changes of direction) that is counter to sound medical advice regarding the carriage of heavily pregnant women in motor vehicles."
In the first edit, Nissan lowered the vehicle's engine noise, removed the woman's speech urging the man to drive faster ("Go, go, go!") and inserted a disclaimer that read "Filmed under controlled conditions," according to Go Auto, but all of that still wasn't enough to appease the ASB.
