1991 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo ***read entire description*** ***first picture is car today and as it will be when purchased***
My name is Matt, I have owned or worked on around 10 300z's in the past 6 years, I have collected a plethora of parts and a vast amount of knowledge for these cars. This particular car is a customer of mine that has owned this car since 2010. In September of 2011 he was hit by someone who ran a stop sign. (please see picture). Insurance totaled it and it was sent to a copart location in Birmingham al. I purchased at that time to rebuild for myself, come to find out the car was a friend of mine and I remembered when he wrecked it, I just didn't recognize it.(small world). long story short, he wanted his car back so he bought the car from me and I proceeded to rebuild the car for him. Now.... reason for selling this car, when I pulled the engine and evaluated the damage I obviously realized the frame rails were useless, but thankfully there was no notable damage to the engine or turbo piping. I still suggested he have the engine rebuilt or buy a jdm engine, but he opted to save money and put the engine back in as it was. that was at 113,000 miles. now at 122,000. A few weeks ago he brought me the car and asked to put camber arms on the rear to prevent tire wear. I noticed a small lifter tick, not very loud at all. I finished the work and was on the way to deliver back when the ticking became very loud and eventually died, I was able to start it two more times when I go it home but it is rough. It does run but it wont for long... The pictures explain most of what I did when welding in a new front end but be reassured the frame rails have 5/8 inch thick steel plates welded along both sides of each rail. these are double reinforced with four 1/2 inch steel bolts going through the rails on each side. the metal used for the rails from the factory is only about 1/8 inch thick. I am confident that they are stronger now than before. All air bags and modules have been replaced and will deploy as they should in an accident. This is a requirement for a rebuilt title. This car was carefully inspected by an Alabama state trooper to ensure that it is street legal and safe to drive on the road. Now, with all that said this is a great opportunity to own a great car at a low price and also save on insurance due to the rebuilt title.
Things NOT coming with the car under any circumstances. -good leather seats(torn ones pictured will be included) -silver wheels in the first picture(oem wheels come with any accepted offers, black ones are for sale upon pick up for $250 or buy it now comes with both sets) -mufflers(I have another set of mufflers that I will include if wanted) ***Bonuses with the Car*** -rare jdm fenders -full rear camber kit -upgrade radiator -greddy turbo timer -clean interior(replacement seat covers are $225 here on ebay) -kenwood cd player and pioneer speakers
***OTHER BUYING OPTION*** I will remove engine, all wiring will be included to drop another engine in.(save time and obviously your offer can be lower if I keep the engine) transmission is optional. please be specific in offers my name is matt 256-683-2385 call or text any time. (pickup will be required and cash upon arrival, only make the deposit through paypal) ******I will ship up to 150 miles one way from Huntsville al, for $.50 a mile... 300 mile round trip = $150******

These are the 'Greenest' and 'Meanest' cars in 2015
Fri, Feb 6 2015As has become tradition, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) has come up with a ranking of what it refers to as the "greenest" cars of 2015, and, by way of contrast, a list of the so-called "meanest" cars, so those who value eco-friendliness over all else can choose which vehicles they should or should not consider buying. As you may expect, electric cars make up the majority of the greenest cars on the list, but, perhaps surprisingly to many, the Tesla Model S didn't make the cut. It's worth noting, too, that where the electricity an owner uses to charge their electric vehicle has a big impact on its overall environmental impact. "A car that is charged using electricity generated from natural gas or renewables is going to have significantly less impact on the environment than one charged on a coal-heavy grid," says ACEEE lead vehicle analyst Shruti Vaidyanathan. The ACEEE's list for 2015 looks very different than it did in 2014. It's an interesting collection, though – and we're sure this goes without saying, really – we'd recommend doing a bit more research into each vehicle and how it might fit into your daily life before making any purchase decisions. 2015 Nissan Murano could have been a lot more boring to look at
Thu, 19 Jun 2014When it debuted at the 2014 New York Auto Show, the third-generation Nissan Murano wowed us more than just about any other car on hand (that's sort of why we handed it an Editors' Choice for the NYIAS). It's sharp, aggressive design was a dramatic departure from the smoother styling of the second-gen CUV, although it wasn't too polarizing. Most importantly, though, it was a vehicle with actual design presence - you want to see it from every angle, all of which draw your eye with something new.
Of course, settling on the design for a new vehicle is far from a straightforward process. While a design might take shape on a designer's drafting table, there are a huge number of steps it needs to get through before making it to an auto show stage or to your local dealer. According to Nissan engineer Chris Reed, those steps very nearly curtailed the Murano's design before the first die was even cast.
Reed has a full account of this sharp design's trials and tribulations in a must-read story from Ward's.
Weekly Recap: Ferrari, Ford and Porsche power up for Geneva
Sat, Feb 7 2015Monday was Groundhog Day. Tuesday, apparently, was Sports Car Day. The Ferrari 488 GTB, the Ford Focus RS and the Porsche Cayman GT4 all debuted within hours of each other ahead of their rollouts at the Geneva Motor Show. Three sporty machines, three vastly different approaches – and a lot of implications for enthusiasts. That's a day worth repeating. It also illustrates the opportunities automakers see in the performance market, which is expected to grow in the coming years. Ford estimates the segment has expanded 14 percent in Europe and surged 70 percent in North America since 2009. The Detroit Auto Show was evidence of this, and performance cars of every stripe debuted, including the Acura NSX, Ford GT, Alfa Romeo 4C Spider and several others. This isn't a fad. Performance cars aren't going away. The question is why? Stricter CAFE standards are looming in the United States, as are tighter emissions regulations in Europe. And no one expects gas prices to remain low in America. None of this matters for sports cars, and automakers are increasingly using them to elevate their images. That's why Dodge rolled out two 707-horsepower Hellcats last year. It's why Ford has decided to resurrect the GT for road and track. It's why in the depths of bankruptcy, General Motors continued work on the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, not to mention the Z06. "Great brands are made one car at a time," Ford of Europe president Jim Farley said at the reveal of the Focus RS. Still, companies make those cars for different reasons. View 5 Photos Mainstream brands like Ford and Dodge want to build cars that get people talking, excite their bases and drive more potential customers into the showroom. They probably don't buy a Focus RS or a Hellcat, but suddenly the regular Focus hatch looks a bit hotter, and that V6 Charger seems to be just a touch more muscular. The halo of performance is alive and well in the eyes of automakers and their customers. "It's one of the most effective catalysts for ingenuity and innovation," said Joe Bakaj, vice president of product development for Ford of Europe. That also leads to a trickle-down effect. Some of the technologies inevitably make their way to other products. It's hard to think the new all-wheel-drive system in the Focus RS that distributes torque front to rear and side to side won't be used in other vehicles. It's different for Ferrari and Porsche.
