You are looking at my 1986 Nissan 300zx Turbo 5-speed. I am selling because my family is growing "just found out baby on way" and I can no longer enjoy taking this car out for Sunday drives. :( The car will need some cosmetic and minor mechanical work to be truly appreciated, there is some dings and dents, plus a handful of rust spots that I was planning on repairing when I purchased the car but I haven't had time. Since I purchased the Z it has been garaged and only driven on the weekends for fun. It runs fine, a little rough when starting the car "takes a couple keyturns" but it has always started and after its warmed up a tad she is good to go. This is the FULLY decked out version of the 300zx, working digital dash, talking lady that notifies you of lights being on or open doors, 5 piece seats with auto adjustable lumbar support, etc... The transmission is pretty solid, Downshifting into second gear can be tricky but this car has character and takes a couple minutes to learn, I have never had any issue going anywhere at any speed at any time. It leaks a little oil and tranny fluid but nothing to be concerned about just do regular checkups. The oil is very slowly leaking from the passenger side cam seal. I didn't have the tools to replace it when I replaced the timing belt so I left it because it wasn't terrible. The clutch was replaced right before I purchased the car a couple months ago. I replaced the Timing belt, Water pump, Thermostat, there gaskets, it has all new belts as well and a new battery. "The new battery isn't in the car atm its setting on a wood shelf because the battery in the car is fine but the new one will come with the car. Two weeks ago I put brand new tires on the car, Firestone Champion. They were the best all season tire I could buy for a 15" rim at Firestone. The AC is blowing hot air because of a vacuum line. I have the lines that will go with the car I just don't have the time to replace them, replacing the lines will make starting the car a lot faster as well. I have a decent amount of experience working on Z31 engines. Before I had this car I restored and completely rebuilt a non-turbo auto 86 Z31. I am listing mainly negatives here because I don't want to sell this car to someone without informing them of everything I know. As a big fan of the Z cars I would love to see this go to an enthusiast that wants to restore it although it can be a daily driver if needed. I hope I can be of help if you have any questions feel free to message me.

Alpine unveils N36 LMP2 car that will race in 24 Hours of Le Mans
Mon, 25 Mar 2013This is the Alpine LMP2 competitor you'll see contesting European endurance races this year, including The 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. Parent company Renault showed off the N36 racer at its atelier in Paris, the blue and orange a switch from the yellow, black and white livery Alpine wore last time it was seen in Le Mans way back in 1978 when it won the race.
The team will be run by Signatech-Nissan and the chassis will be powered by a Nissan engine. Nelson Panciatici and Pierre Ragues will contest World Endurance Championship rounds throughout the year, they'll be joined by endurance and IndyCar veteran Tristan Gommendy for Le Mans and Paul-Loup Chatin as the team's reserve driver.
The Alpine N36 will get into its first test this week at Paul Ricard, then experience its first racing miles at the European Le Mans Series round at Silverstone on April 13. The press release below has the full scoop, the photos above have the past and present in high-res glory.
Nissan e-NV200 electric van will start FedEx testing in DC
Wed, Jan 22 2014The electric van test program that Nissan and FedEx announced today at the Washington Auto Show isn't really all that new. After all, FedEx is already testing the all-electric e-NV200 in Singapore, Japan and Germany. The news today is that FedEx will be one of the first companies to test the EV in the US, and Nissan brought a prototype to the show to gin up interest. 200 CHAdeMO stations were added in December, a monthly record. The e-NV200 uses a powertrain similar to what's in the Nissan Leaf and weighs about the same as that passenger car, but Nissan isn't talking about US performance figures quite yet. Nissan isn't even saying if the vehicle will even come to the US, but this test program sure hints that something like that is in the works. For now, all that's official is that Nissan will bring two - yes, just two - e-NV200 units to the US, letting FedEx test one in the Washington, DC area for between six to eight weeks before cycling the EVs to other companies in the US over the next year. The idea, as you may have guessed, it to gather data on how companies might use this van and let Nissan figure out if it wants to sell the e-NE200 here. The van will start being built in Barcelona, Spain this spring and is currently intended for Europe and Japan. FedEx is no stranger to greener vehicles, and has 167 EVs in its US fleet right now. Read more in the press release below. The e-NV200 can use CHAdeMO fast charging, and Nissan said today that it has helped install 570 of those DC fast chargers in the US since announcing expansion plans last year. At the time, the target was 500 chargers in 18 months, so things are progressing faster than publicly anticipated. In fact, 200 CHAdeMO stations were added in December, a monthly record. Jan. 22, 2014 Nissan and FedEx Express Put All-Electric e-NV200 to Work in Collaborative U.S. Test WASHINGTON, D.C. - FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., and Nissan announced today at the Washington Auto Show that the two companies will begin testing the Nissan e-NV200, a 100 percent electric compact cargo vehicle, under real world conditions in Washington, D.C. This test marks the first time the vehicle will be running in North America. FedEx Express and Nissan have conducted similar e-NV200 tests with fleets in Japan, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Brazil. FedEx and Nissan are both committed to reducing the environmental impact of their operations worldwide.
2014 Nissan Rogue earns IIHS Top Safety Pick+ [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Mar 2014The 2014 Nissan Rogue has scored a Top Safety Pick+ award following positive crash test results by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The new crossover scored good results (the highest rating) in the group's five crashworthiness checks and a basic rating for front crash prevention.
The IIHS found that the Rogue also performed well in its small overlap front test with a low risk of injuries, and the driver's space maintained its structure well. It was an improvement over the previous generation, which received a marginal rating in that evaluation. The Rogue's optional forward collision warning system was enough for a basic rating in avoiding accidents.
To qualify as a Top Safety Pick, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the the moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint evaluations, plus a good or acceptable result in the small overlap front test. To receive the additional Plus rating in 2014, it must also have a basic, advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention. The IIHS scores vehicles as good, acceptable, marginal or poor, and avoidance systems are scored basic, advanced or superior, depending on the type of system and its performance. Scroll down to watch the videos of the small and moderate overlap crash tests and read the full IIHS statement.
