This Nissan 300zx Turbo is in very good shape. I am the second owner and the first owner took perfect care of this vehicle from 1985 till 2008. All the bells and whistles were included when this car was new. She TALKS!!!! If you leave the door open or lights on, the female voice tells you!!! I have all the documents and service records, handbook and catalogue too! Along with the original bill of sale from when the car was purchased in Brentwood, California and repair records from his ownership, to the best of my knowledge there have never been pets or smokers in the car. The body and interior have some minor cosmetic issues, all of which are pictured here. Tires are new as of 2007, New exhaust manifold, new head gaskets, rear hatch seal and shocks, new distributor, plugs, wires, along with a new pioneer stereo and pyramid amplifyer including CD player and i-pod jack. Repairs have included replacing the front and rear stabilizer links, new (rebuilt) alternator, new front and rear sway bar bushings, replacing the pcv valve and replacing the differential seal. The speakers may be original and work just fine, but to really enjoy the system, I'd recommend replacing them. The speaker covers are sun faded a bit. The car comes with an alarm, power locks, seats, windows and air conditioning, all of which works well. The T-tops have no issues and come with a separate key. I have the sun sheilds, but there are no T-top bags. The Engine is in perfect condition and the TURBO is excellent. Minor cosmetic problems include a small dent in the hood where a tool was closed in, (painted clear to prevent rusting), a chip on the passenger side view mirror, overall some small scratches and discolorations in the paint and chips on the black trim, some trim around the tires is shrinking back, a poor (but effective) calking job on the drivers side hatch window. The cruise control has been removed but a new one could be installed, and function just fine. The cruise control switch now must be held down to start the car as a security measure. The highbeam bulbs need to be replaced as well. Overall, this car has been a HUGE pleasure to drive and If I had the space I would improve it to its original condition. If you purchase this car, you will not be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since this car has not been my primary vehicle, I have driven it very minimally so there are under 87,000 miles on it. The gas mileage is very good, and I insist on only using the highest quality gasoline, and maintaining all fluids as necessary. A car cover and the tools that came with the car including the inflatable spare will all be included in the purchase price. I prefer to sell to someone in the seattle area, but insist that the buyer assumes all responsibility for claiming/ shipping the vehicle upon purchase. I will accept payment through paypal only. I will not release the car until your funds clear my account. Thanks so much for viewing this listing, please contact me through ebay with any questions.

Should heavy-duty pickup trucks have window stickers with fuel mileage estimates?
Sat, Sep 23 2017If you were to stroll into your nearest Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Nissan, or Ram dealership, you'd find a bunch of pickup trucks. Most of those would have proper window stickers labeled with things like base prices, options prices, location of manufacture, and, crucially, fuel economy estimates. But you'd also run across a number of heavy-duty trucks with no such fuel mileage data from the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA doesn't require automakers to publish the valuable miles-per-gallon measurement for vehicles with gross weight ratings that exceed 8,500 pounds. That makes it difficult for consumers to compare behemoths powered by turbocharged diesel engines – between one another, and between smaller, gasoline-fueled trucks. Consumer Reports doesn't think it should be this way, and it's spearheading an effort (PDF link) to get the government to require manufacturers to publish fuel economy estimates. In its own testing, CR found that heavy-duty pickups powered by Ford's Power Stroke, GM's Duramax, and FCA's Cummins diesel engines (which doesn't include the Ram's EcoDiesel) get worse fuel mileage than their lighter-duty gas-powered siblings. We're not so sure HD-truck buyers are unaware of this fact – big diesels don't really come into their own until big loads are placed in their beds or attached to their trailer hitches. Under heavy workloads, the diesel trucks will almost certainly return greater efficiency than a similar gas-powered truck. What's more, HD trucks with lumbering diesels in general make the driver feel more confident while towing due to greater torque at low engine RPM than gas trucks. They also offer greater max-weight limits. Still, we agree EPA fuel mileage estimates should be offered for heavy-duty pickups. And we think the comparisons provided by Consumer Reports might be interesting to potential buyers. Click here to see the results of CR's tests, and let us know what you think using the poll below. Nissan buys jalopy Maxima after seeing filmmaker's epic sales ad
Thu, 19 Dec 2013When Luke Akers wanted to sell his 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE - yes, the one seen above that needs a ratchet strap to keep the front end from bursting with joy - the Florida filmmaker turned on his cameras and yelled "Quiet on set!" The result is a one-minute videographic homage to mankind's monuments, narrated with all the intensity of a BBC documentary to sell a 17-year-old sports sedan that comes "fully loaded with an engine, wheels, tires and an automatic transmission."
Just like the car in question, the ad did its job: Nissan bought the Maxima from Akers and the company donated another $1,000 to his charity of choice. Three cheers to both Akers and Nissan for their work. You can check out the video below, and head to the Ikonik Films site for the humorous print ads that were also part of the campaign.
