1985 300zx Turbo 5 Spd - 1 Owner - 51000 Mi. - Exceptional Orig. Cond / Garaged on 2040-cars
Miami, Florida, United States
I welcome all inquiries except: from those that do not have the funds, have to consult with the "Boss" first, or are afraid to buy a car long distance. Fairly priced for a straight Turbo ZX that has not been messed with. My feedback is 100% and that should count for something.
I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime. This is a 2 owner, bought new in Alabama ( I knew the first owner when I was a student at the Univ. of Alabama in late 80's ). Very well maintained with 51000 miles that has never been crashed, driven hard, or abused. Great for Z clubs / events. Do not hesitate to reach me via phone - 305-302-4617. Some palm tree and pavement reflections from the sun.
I can assist with shipping, as I have a contact in the industry. Let me know if you need a quote. It belongs on a car hauler.
1985 Nissan 300ZX TURBO 5 speed - built 8/85 - GETTING MORE DIFFICULT TO FIND IN THIS ORIGINAL / UNMOLESTED / RUST FREE CONDITION. This awesome 300 has an all orig. interior, except the stereo that stopped working, but the orig. harness is still in place, so you can replace it with an OEM if you can find one. It has been meticulously cared for and garage kept. For a Nissan purist, it is definitely a great piece of history. NO ACCIDENTS. Turbo cool down fan still works perfectly as well as the talking voice warning system. Awesome features and summarizes the integrity of the car. The Charcoal Gray metallic paint shines like it did in 1985. It was Ziebarted when new, so no corrosion. The moldings, handles, window glass, lettering, roof panels, covers, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in super condition. The wheels are straight and the tires are like new. It drives straight down the road with zero issues. Never run through an automatic car wash and always hand washed / waxed are a great part as to why it shows so well. On the inside, the Gray interior still looks and feels great. As you can see in the pics, the seats have always been covered and the flooring still holds the orig. Turbo mats from 85. The door panels, t-top bags, dash, center console, faceplates, etc. are stock orig. and all of the interior buttons / switches - power windows, door locks, cruise, hatch release, fuel door, and even the clock keeps perfect time. It does have the orig. stereo speakers. The tools, jack, bolts are still in place ( see pic ). Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as you would expect of "well-oiled" machine. The engine compartment is stock and all of the servicing is up to date - fuel injector recall, a/c, belts, hoses, coolant, thermostat, fluids all changed ( synthetic ) / maintained at the proper intervals, Timing belt and tune up were done. The stock Turbo spools out 5-6psi. without issue, the 5 speed tranny shifts softly and it performs on all levels. It has never been driven hard. The a/c is blistering cold and the brakes have plenty of pad left. All of the other mechanical functions are on point. A fun blast from the past that is a great conversation piece.

Nissan's Ghosn called out by Deltawing's Panoz in print ad
Wed, 25 Jun 2014When the Nissan ZEOD RC limped to the side of the Circuit de la Sarthe a mere five laps into this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, we imagine that a certain American motorsports figure at least smirked a little. Don Panoz's ongoing feud with Nissan probably means he wasn't sorry to see the arrow-shaped racecar's poor showing, and now he's stepping up his campaign against his former racing partner.
For those who need a refresher, back in 2012, Panoz and Nissan teamed up to field the DeltaWing, an innovative, wedge-shaped racer, as the first entry in the 24 Hours of Le Mans' experimental Garage 56 concept. The car rapidly became a fan favorite. The Panoz/Nissan alliance didn't last, though, and before long, the DeltaWing's designer was getting a paycheck from Nissan and the ZEOD RC racer arrived. Shortly after that, Panoz began mulling over a lawsuit alleging intellectual property infringement. The American motorsports icon would eventually pull the trigger on a suit back in December of 2013.
Panoz's latest move in the ongoing feud involves an open letter in both The Nashville Tennessean, the paper that serves Nissan's US headquarters, and trade paper Automotive News. The letter calls out Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn directly, and points out some of the similarities between the DeltaWing and the ZEOD RC, going so far as to quote the original car's designer, Ben Bowlby.
Nissan teases Sao Paolo CUV concept, production future likely
Thu, 16 Oct 2014Back in 2012 at Brazil's São Paulo Motor Show, Nissan showed off an angular subcompact crossover concept, Extrem, that seemed to to portend the future of the Nissan Juke. Now, the Japanese automaker is teasing an as-yet-unnamed CUV concept for this year's show. The new showcar, set for an October 28 unveiling, is expected to be a closer-to-production version of the Extrem ethos.
Why should we care? Autoblog has reason to believe that this vehicle is under consideration for global distribution. The production Extrem - or whatever it ends up being called - is likely to be positioned size-wise in between the Juke and the recently upsized Rogue, offering more space and still-adventuresome styling, yet at a less expensive price. If accurate, that sounds like the production model will be a fair bit larger than the conceptual Xtrem, which was built atop a modified version of Nissan's V-platform, a model that underpins its March supermini (and speaking of the March, Nissan has also teased what looks to be a sporty concept version of it for the Brazilian show, too).
It's important to note that Nissan already has a bustling small CUV portfolio globally, what with its popular Qashqai / X-Trail models in markets beyond ours. There continues to be persistent rumors that Nissan is considering bringing over the Qashqai, as well, a model seemingly already quite close in size and execution to the Rogue. Despite this, Nissan has shown no hesitation in exploring every niche of the burgeoning CUV market, and while not every derivative has been a success, models like the Juke have rewarded the company's bravery with handsome sales.
Nissan GT-R goes 183 mph on ice in Russia
Sat, 06 Apr 2013When a pair of Russian pilots wanted to set a local ice-speed record, they chose a stock Nissan GT-R for the task. Roman Rusinov, a Russian race car driver, and Andrey Leontjev, a Russian auto journalist, took Godzilla to Lake Baikal and ran it up to 294.8 kilometers per hour (182.8 miles per hour) across frozen stuff estimated to be 1.4 meters thick.
While the worldwide record of 205.48 mph was set by Juha Kankkunen in a Bentley Supersports Convertible, the mark achieved by Rusinov and Leontjev establishes a new Russian record. Well done, boys. You can watch it all go down in the video below.
