For sale, is one of the nicest examples of a properly restored, tastefully modified Twin Turbo, 5-speed, 300zx you will ever find. Details Below:
1990, Nissan Z32 / 300zx Twin Turbo , 2-seater , 5-speed, Left hand drive, Restored approximately 4 years ago. It is safe to say this car is 'done', and you can literally own and drive this car every day if you so desired. My goal was to build a well rounded vehicle, that could go to the 1/4 mile Friday night, and do a track day or autocross on Saturday. This is built as solidly as any example you will find. It is reliable and made to be driven. Notable Achievements: - Appraised at $30,000 By Jim Winter - Professional appraisal, Former auto museum curator, and Concours Judge... I have all appraisal documents. More money in parts alone - Voted two consecutive years in a row (Top votes for 2014) - twinturbo.net annual calendar. -Touted as the number one recognized site for Z32 300zx information - Two time attendance, and winner in it's class. All Nissan meet (DNBC) - Full documentation of build, pictures, build threads. Body is arrow straight. No corners cut. Brief Specs (Please contact me for full modifications list): - 600 Crank Horsepower on 15psi, 94 Chevron Pump gas (Has never seen anything else). Capable of 700 Wheel Horsepower when tuned for Race Gas! Monitored by an AEM series 2 EMS, MAP system, Including IAT. 740 Nismo injectors, Full breather modifications car. Forged bottom end, balanced, blueprinted. OS Giken twin plate clutch. GT675 RS turbos (Garrett, aka JWT Sport 700's). Exhaust is Full 3" Turbo-Back, modified SZ 3" with V-bands. Timing belt is brand new, as well as components, all OEM, no expense spared. Ramey-Z heavy duty idler studs, etc. Wastegates Balanced. Everything has been gone through thoroughly, and correctly. - Full powertrix suspension (No ebay junk). Front upper camber arms, Rear upper camber arms, Tension rods, Even traction arms (Car has kept up with 911 turbos, F430 on a track!). All basic stiffening and bracing mods have been done as well. Complete ES busing kit. Powertrix race coilovers. 14" Front 2-piece rotors, brembo calipers. - Interior is very clean tidy. Gauges to monitor everything, exterior is very clean, panels are straight. Painted professionally (overseen by me) in tri-coat PPG Giallo Orion Pearl, close to original pearl glow yellow, yet to give an updated modern look. - Rear bumper and wing are the only examples in North America I know of, AB flug pieces, very expensive. From Japan. Lights updated to 99-spec, as well as taillights and front fascia. Custom '99-spec style xenon headlights, stillen side skirts. Custom Aluminum front lip & Undertray. Fog light housing ducts. Paint wet sanded and cut polished to mirror shine. - Oil is Redline 15w50, changed religiously. Redline in Trans and diff as well. Taurus High CFM E-Fan, SPL radiator. Built to last and take a beating if so desired! - Car has had many 'antiquated' systems deleted. AIV's, EGR, Carbon Canister. Also Air conditioning has been deleted, but blower & heat works, and cabin filter retrofitted! As the car is 24 Years old, and driven there are a few very minor discrepancies to note: - Minor 1/2" dia bubble in the front bumper (pictured) - Some minor rock chips - scratches on rear window (pictured) - Interior has some wear, but overall good condition - trunk plastics have some very minor scratches That is the basics. If you are interested please contact me as I have a complete list and appraisal documents available. - I have documentation of the entire build. Listing this ad, I can tell you (among with other enthusiasts), that this is one of the nicest examples of a tastefully modified Nissan Z32 in North America. You can even look it up on twinturbo.net. Lastly, I have nothing to hide, I want to sell this great car to someone else that will enjoy, take care of, and drive it! Needing to buy some real estate, and no time to drive the car anymore forces sale. Keep in mind: - Car sold as is - Buyer responsible for pickup, shipping, or delivery - Seller can work with buyer for arranging transport, at buyers expense - I reserve the right to end the auction at any time to sell the vehicle Please contact me via email for any questions, Call 604-837-7666 for any serious/urgent questions Thank you for your time, Nick |

Nissan unveils Altima-based V8 Supercars [w/videos]
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Good as it is, when we think about the Nissan Altima, the words "V8" or "supercar" are not in our vernacular, but Nissan Motorsports is looking to change all that. After unveiling the race version of its Altima sedan intended for the Australian V8 Supercars series back in October, the four race teams and their cars were revealed yesterday ahead of a preseason test session this weekend.
Two of the Altima racecars will be sponsored by Jack Daniels while the other two will wear Norton (as in Norton Anti-Virus) black-and-yellow livery. The season officially kicks off on March 1, and we'll get to see the V8-powered Altima on US soil from May 17-19 when the V8 Supercars series hits the new Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Scroll down to watch a couple videos and a press release issued for the team introductions.
Nissan Patrol attempts Guinness record with 170-ton cargo plane tow
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Yesterday, Nissan teased us with a video showing a Patrol pulling up to a 170-ton cargo plane at an airport in the Middle East - we could only assume that the not-for-America sports utility vehicle would attempt to tow the jet.
Well, somebody leaked the official Nissan video, which indeed shows the Patrol successfully pulling the plane 30 meters for what reportedly is a Guinness world record. While Guinness hasn't confirmed the record on its website at time of writing, the 170-ton jet would be the heaviest plane ever towed by a production automobile. The video was taken down quickly, but another video shot by an observer at the event was posted for our enjoyment. We figured Nissan would move to repost the official video sooner rather than later, and it did.
The Patrol seems to have no problem towing 340,000 pounds, but let's just say it wasn't a quick ordeal. Check out the official and unofficial video of the tow below, as well as Nissan's teaser video. In a reversal of fortunes, we also threw in another, somewhat smaller but perhaps just as impressive vid, just for fun.
