I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT TIME WASTERS. IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO BUY A CAR, THEN DO NOT BOTHER GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS. HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR MY TIME, IF NOT YOUR OWN. CAR HAS ZERO RUST - ON THE BODY, UNDERSIDE, WHEELS WELLS, ETC. NO BODY DAMAGE AND ORIGINAL PAINT. STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW.
Fairly priced for a straight ZX that has not been messed with. My feedback is 100% and that should count for something. It is almost like driving a new car, and for those who remember / owned one, it is more surreal. I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime. This is a 2 owner, exceedingly well maintained gem that has never been driven hard or abused. Great for Z clubs / events. Do not hesitate to reach me via phone: 305-302-4617. Some palm tree and pavement reflections from the sun. The engine bay is not dirty, it is the cosmoline / rust protectant that was applied when new. Can be removed, but left as original. I can assist with shipping, as I have a contact in the industry. Let me know if you need a quote. It belongs on a car hauler.
1983 Datsun / Nissan 280ZX 5 speed w/ 38000 documented mi. - Last year of the great 80's generation - GETTING MORE DIFFICULT TO FIND IN THIS ORIGINAL / UNMOLESTED / RUST FREE CONDITION. This awesome 280 has an all orig. interior, down to the floor mats. It has been meticulously cared for and garage kept. For a Datsun / Nissan purist, it is definitely a great piece of history. NO ACCIDENTS / NO PAINT. All systems on point and function as new. The Orig. Red paint has an amazing 32 year old shine. It was Rust coated when new, so no corrosion. The moldings, handles, window glass, lettering, roof panels, covers, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in super condition. The wheels are clean and the tires are like new. It drives straight down the road with zero issues. Never run through an automatic car wash and always hand washed / waxed are a great part as to why it shows so well. On the inside, the Gray interior still looks and feels great. As you can see in the pics, the seats have always been covered and the flooring still holds the orig. mats from 83. The door panels, t-top bags, t-top inserts, dash ( no cracks ), center console, faceplates, etc. are stock orig. and all of the interior buttons / switches - power windows, door locks, antenna, cruise, hatch release, fuel door, and even the clock keeps perfect time ( see pic ). It does have the orig. stereo / speakers and the sound is great. The orig. spare, tools, jack, inflator canister, bolts are still in place. Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as you would expect of "well-oiled" machine. The engine compartment is stock and all of the servicing is up to date - a/c, belts, tune up, hoses, coolant, thermostat, fluids all changed / maintained at the proper intervals, The 5 speed tranny / clutch shift softly and it performs on all levels. It has never been driven hard. The a/c is blistering cold and the brakes have plenty of pad left. All of the other mechanical functions are on point. A fun blast from the past that is a great conversation piece and will get you positive attention wherever you go. Nissan will expand free* charging incentive to 25 Leaf markets
Wed, Apr 16 2014Nissan has proof that giving away a bit of electricity makes buying a new Leaf all the more enticing. Thanks to a deal that offers free charging to some Leaf owners in Texas, one dealer there claims his Leaf sales have tripled. We don't see national sales climbing quite that high starting July 1 2014, but an announcement made today at the New York Auto Show will likely give the EV a boost. New Leaf buyers will get to charge for free at public chargers for two years. Within limits: a max of 30 minutes at CHAdeMO and an hour at Level 2 stations. Nissan will expand its "No Charge to Charge" promotion to at least 25 markets across the US. The deal means that new Leaf buyers will get to charge for free at public chargers that accept the new EZ-Charge card, within limits. That means a maximum of 30 minutes at CHAdeMO DC fast chargers and just one hour at Level 2 stations, Brendan Jones, director of Nissan EV infrastructure strategy and development, told AutoblogGreen. This should be plenty of time, Jones said, since the average Leaf driver comes to a CHAdeMO station with 35-40 percent state-of-charge on the battery and the average time they stay is around 16-17 minutes. A half hour is fine at a fast charger, since the battery will get to 80 percent full within that time, but we're less impressed with the one-hour limit at a Level 2 station, since that will only put maybe 20 miles into the battery. The EZ-Charge card is compatible with four of "the leading EV charging networks," which here means ChargePoint, Blink, AeroVironment and NRG eVgo. Nissan says the 25 markets make up over 80 percent of all the US Leaf sales. Anyone who buys a new Leaf in one of the specified markets - or bought one on or after April 1 of this year - will get the free-to-use EZ-Charge card (others can still get the card, which means only carrying one charger company fob instead of four). The promotion starts July 1 in 10 markets (San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Nashville, Phoenix, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Washington, DC) and then expands to the next 15 by the end of June, 2015. Nissan would not specify which markets these will be, but they will be where the Leaf is selling well and there are DC fast chargers. That means, we suspect, places like Chicago, St. Louis, Philadelphia and Atlanta.
The art of racing the Nissan GT-R
Mon, 09 Sep 2013There's no question that the Nissan GT-R is one of the very fastest cars that money can buy, and that its sophisticated all-wheel-drive system and active suspension give its drivers an absurd level of control at speed. In fact, the GT-R's technical brilliance and video-game quickness often spur armchair critics to make absurd claims that kind of amount to: "The car basically drives itself."
Having a bit of fun with those particularly salty members of the peanut gallery, YouTube producers at That Racing Channel have put together an instructional video about the finer points of GT-R driving and street racing. Scroll down below to get an idea about just how difficult Godzilla can be to keep hold of at the limit.
RC car drift video brings Fast and Furious style in 1:10 scale
Mon, Apr 13 2015Taking a cue from Lexus' 2015 Super Bowl ad Let's Play, Falken Tire is proving that RC cars can drift just as well, if not better, than their full-size counterparts. However, to make things four times as exciting, this clip eschews a single hopped-up model hanging its tail out in favor of a quartet of them sliding around together. Starring 1:10 RC versions of popular drift machines like the Nissan S15 Silvia, Mazda FD-chassis RX-7 and Initial D star Toyota Corolla AE86, these cars also get a suite of blinking LEDs to lend some extra color to all of the tire spinning. Plus, the use of well-positioned cameras and a scale model environment almost makes this group look like they're at work in the real world.
