If you know 240's then you will know how much it would cost to build a car like this with all the parts listed and have a full street legal car with a full racing roll cage and a full interior which is VERY RARE.

- Car was NEVER drifted. I built the car to drive NASA Time Trial and Autocross but didn’t get the chance to run the car. I then built a Miata and switched to SCCA Spec Miata.

- Roll Cage – Full 6 Point racing cage with double NASCAR door bars and rear X bracing

- Miles: 141,771 on the chassis

- SR20DET Engine: 30 kilometers from donor car. Engine is completely stock and has no modifications.

- Transmission: 5 Speed Manual

- Carbon Fiber Hood with triple vents. Removable cover on the inside to keep the engine dry.

- R33 Style Front Bumper with 3 inch brake cooling hoses

- A/C working and ice cold

- Power Steering

- Apexi N1 full exhaust

- Greddy Front Mount Intercooler

- Greddy Type S BOV

- Greddy Electronic Boost Controller

- Greddy Turbo Timer

- 300ZX Z32 Front & Rear Calipers

- Brake Lines –Braided Stainless Steel Front & Rear

- Many spare parts will come with the car. New Brembo Rotors, Hawk Racing brake pads, 4 original wheels, original hood, original front bumper, original back seats and to many more to list.

- Car is SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY

- The body is not perfect and has a little of the clear coating coming off due to the hot Florida sun. There is one small dent on the passenger door which doesn’t even show up in the pictures. The History Report shows 1 minor accident and that was from the previous owner getting bumped in the back at the light and the rubber bumper cover has a little cracked paint but there is no damage underneath the car. The door panels had to be cut to make room for the racing seat and roll cage door bars. I was planning on making custom door panels to make it look nicer but I never got around to it. The power windows and power door locks all work normal. I would drive the car to and from the track and on a daily basis and never had a breakdown. I build and drive all of my own cars and I don't do anything half way as you can see from the parts listed and the pictures. I have to many cars and I am starting to sell the cars that I don't use all the time. As you can see from the photos the work that went into building the car and especially the roll cage with the custom work and how tight it is to the interior roof and the windshield pillars and still have complete functioning interior which is VERY RARE. I am selling the car for a lot less than I have invested into the car and again if you know 240's then you will know how much it would cost to build a car like this with all the parts listed and have a full street legal car with a full roll cage.. This car is fully ready and prepared for the track if you decide to do that and if not then you will have one of the safest cars on the street.

- I reserve the right to end the auction early if the car sells locally

- Deposit of $500 must be sent through PayPal.

- I will accept Cash, Bank Certified Check or Bank Wired Funds and will not release the vehicle until all funds have cleared.

- Car shipping quotes available at uship.com

The art of racing the Nissan GT-R

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

There's no question that the Nissan GT-R is one of the very fastest cars that money can buy, and that its sophisticated all-wheel-drive system and active suspension give its drivers an absurd level of control at speed. In fact, the GT-R's technical brilliance and video-game quickness often spur armchair critics to make absurd claims that kind of amount to: "The car basically drives itself."
Having a bit of fun with those particularly salty members of the peanut gallery, YouTube producers at That Racing Channel have put together an instructional video about the finer points of GT-R driving and street racing. Scroll down below to get an idea about just how difficult Godzilla can be to keep hold of at the limit.

Tesla, BMW and Nissan meeting in secret to discuss charging tech

Tue, Jun 17 2014

It's interesting what's happening in the electric vehicle field. It used to be that BMW and Tesla were competitors. Then – and of course they're still competing, especially in the public mind – they were working together on ... something. Maybe. And now, the Financial Times reports that the two luxury automakers are meeting with Nissan. Again, maybe. The scuttlebutt is that the three companies are interested in working together on something to do with charging electric vehicles, potentially a global recharging standard. Currently, when it comes to fast charging, BMW uses the SAE Combo standard, Nissan uses CHAdeMO and Tesla uses its own Superchargers. The meeting was prompted by Tesla opening of all of its patents the other day, FT says. Speaking during the recent annual shareholder meeting, Musk said he was "more than happy to have other manufacturers" use Tesla's Superchargers but that, "there is no other electric car that can accept anything close to 135 kilowatts." Let's assume the technical hurdle can be overcome. With any potential patent/licensing problems out of the way, these discussions with BMW and Nissan might be revolving around this other angle that Musk mentioned: "They (other automakers) just have to contribute to the capital cost, so figure out what percentage of the time are their cars using the Supercharger network and then they can make a contribution proportionate to their customer usage of the Supercharger network." That certainly sounds like something that could take some time to figure out. Nine cars we wish were convertibles

Thu, Apr 16 2015

The snow has melted, the sun is shining, and the days are getting longer. At the Autoblog Detroit office we feel like our winter hibernation is finally over. And with warmer temperatures come visions of opening up a convertible roof and cruising. You know, just turn up the bass and let the Alpine blast. There are plenty of droptops on sale in the US, and more on the way (like the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata). That said, we always want more. More! More! More! In that spirit, we cooked up a list of nine cars aren't currently sold as convertible, but ought to be. Check out our picks, below. Summer's just around the corner. Subaru BRZ / Scion FR-S In some parallel universe, this car actually happened. Toyota showed us a FT 86 Convertible concept at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013, and we immediately started licking our chops over the thought of a rear-wheel-drive convertible based on the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S twins. These days, the MX-5 Miata is our only option for affordable roadster fun. A competitor to the Mazda seems like a no-brainer to us, especially since we have naught but good to say about the BRZ/FR-S as-is. Unfortunately in our present timeline, this car is as likely for production as a BRZ STI. Which is to say, not very. Dang. Lexus RC F Unlike the FR-S, a convertible from Toyota's luxury division might actually see the light of day. The current IS convertible is about to be phased out, and the Lexus LF-C2 concept from the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show is really a thinly veiled look at a possible RC convertible. A droptop RC would be plenty good, but let's reach for the starts. What we really want is to run topless in an RC F, complete with that powerful, loud, 5.0-liter V8 engine. Lexus says the RC F is a true competitor to the BMW M4. If that's true, it only makes sense for Lexus to mimic the Germans and offer its performance coupe in a folding hardtop form. Maybach Landaulet Maybach is bach back, recast as an upper crust trim level for Mercedes-Benz. The Mercedes-Maybach S600 is seriously awesome, and more luxurious than a trip to the spa. But why not go a step into the truly ridiculous levels of extravagence and bring back that open-top Landaulet? We think your local princess will love this idea, and with better S-Class bones underneath, Jeeves will have a pretty enjoyable ship to steer, too. Besides, with that slick new Mercedes design language, a Landaulet redux wouldn't be nearly as hideous as the old model, pictured here.
