This is a project car and currently does not run due to seized fuel pump(to my knowledge). vehicle was running up till 2 years ago. further diagnostics shows it had a badly blown head gasket and cyl 4 had very low pressure. i have moved it into my garage and installed a new head gasket but with it sitting in my garage for 2 years or so and with less the quarter tank of gas i believe the walbaro seized. within these 2 years i have bought a house and had a baby which leads me to having no time on getting this car working. i need the money as well as the space in my garage for my son's ever growing toys. this vehicle is pick up only and will not ship. a $250 non refundable deposit is required at the end of this auction!

bad things:
bad fuel pump. i do not hear any whining for pump.
been sitting in my garage has not been moved for 2 year or so
some parts need to be re installed (alternator, fan, fan belts, piping for turbo etc...)
when it broke down cylinder 1 - 4 130(1)psi 150(2)psi 150(3)psi 60(4)psi
head gasket has been changed but have not been tested after
minor cosmetic damage. some chipped paint and minor dents

good things:
kade24t
custom bottom mount T3 with garrett turbo
high flow cat
pacesetters exhaust
nismo short shifter
apexi piggy back
n60 maf
sr20 fuel injectors
side mount intercooler
apexi a/f wide band
momo steering wheel
17in gold rims (i can't think of brand)
lowered 1.8 inches
J30 Limited Slip Diff (LSD)
DSM BOV
10" sub woofer(includes 2 channel amp)
infinity speakers (includes 4 channel amp)
viper alarm w/ power door locks
upgrade rear way bar links
front strut bar
new condenser. (a/c works!)

this was a fun car when it was running lost of power! i built this originally to be a "sleeper" hence the side mount and very stock looking. revving the engine you will get the BOV to chirp. why didn't i go sr20? cause everyone goes that route i wanted to be slightly different, a/c was a plus for me keeping the stock engine. why not keep it? i tried so many time to "work on it" but with a new house and baby it's almost impossible.

please do not hesitate to ask any questions. I'm sure i forgot to add something about this vehicle, but it was not intentional. Again, please ask any questions concerning this car. It is not show worthy, but it is quick and fun.

China's largest dealer body pushes back against foreign automakers over huge inventories

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Do not think for a second that automakers forcing inventory on dealers in order to pad the numbers is a ruse known only in the US. Stories of individual brands have hinted at the trouble Chinese dealerships are having trying to move units as the country's economic growth remains hot but comes off the boil, like the one revealing that 95 percent of Toyota-FAW showrooms are losing money. Yet Toyota isn't the only culprit, and the issue has become so dire that the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA), the largest dealer body in the country, has written to the government to complain. Chinese car sales are expected to close out the year with an annualized growth of six-percent, down from last year's 14 percent when targets were set, while in the background the pace of overall economic expansion is the slowest its been since the early nineties. Automakers, shipping cars on schedule to make their earlier targets, have blown up inventories such that they are an average of 1.8 times monthly sales, when the preferred multiplier is from 0.9 to 1.2. According to the CADA, the price wars and necessary incentives mean that only 30 percent of dealers are operating in the black. That number is down a whopping forty percent since 2010. In response, Toyota has already said it will not make its 2014 target of 1.1 million cars sold. We're a long way from 2012, when Toyota planned on selling 1.8 million cars in China in 2015, a target that's now as realistic as a manticore. BMW, Honda and Nissan have erased numbers on their spreadsheets, too; BMW growth dropped from 20 percent to 8 percent midyear after it began "reducing wholesale supplies," and Honda has been reworking its plans as sales have decreased each of the past six months. It's a big deal for Chinese dealers to begin protesting publicly, the CADA saying, "In the past, dealers were angry, but dared not speak out. But now, they have to shout because the situation is getting so unbearable." With six-percent growth forecast for next year and dealers unwilling to remain underwater, The Year of the Sheep coming in 2015 could portend meaning beyond the zodiac. Asian automakers still reluctant to use more aluminum

Tue, Jun 24 2014

There's a logical progression of technology in the auto industry. We've seen it with things like carbon-ceramic brakes, which use to be the sole domain of six-figure sports cars, where they often cost as much as an entry level Toyota Corolla. Now, you can get them on a BMW M3 (they're still pricey, at $8,150). Who knows, maybe in the next four a five years, they'll be available on something like a muscle car or hot hatchback. Aluminum has had a similar progression, although it's further along, moving from the realm of Audi and Jaguar luxury sedans to Ford's most important product, the F-150. With the stuff set to arrive in such a big way on the market, we should logically expect an all-aluminum Toyota Camry or Honda Accord soon, right? Um, wrong. Reuters has a great report on what's keeping Asian manufacturers away from aluminum, and it demonstrates yet another stark philosophical difference between automakers in the east and those in the west. Of course, there's a pricing argument at play. But it's more than just the cost of aluminum sheet (shown above) versus steel. Manufacturing an aluminum car requires extensive retooling of existing factories, not to mention new relationships with suppliers and other logistical and financial nightmares. Factor that in with what Reuters calls Asian automaker's preference towards "evolutionary upgrades," and the case for an all-aluminum Accord is a difficult one. Instead, manufacturers in the east are focusing on developing even stronger steel as a means of trimming fat, although analysts question how long that practice can continue. Jeff Wang, the automotive sales director for aluminum supplier Novelis, predicts that we'll see a bump in aluminum usage from Japanese and Korean brands in the next two to three years, and that it will be driven by an influx of aluminum-based vehicles from western automakers into China. Only time will tell if he's proven right. News Source: ReutersImage Credit: Sean Gallup / Getty Images Plants/Manufacturing Honda Hyundai Mazda Nissan Toyota Technology aluminum
