For sale is my 1992 Nissan 240sx.  I purchased this car last year from the original owner.  The car has only 71,050 original miles.  This was a Florida car, (inland) and was/is garage kept.  There is no rust,(strut towers, frame rails, rockers, quarter panels, etc) and the exterior is in very good condition.  There are some dings, scratches, etc, however the car and paint show very nicely.  There is also some paint chipping from the rear bumper.  The paint is all original.  This is also the base model, so there is no sunroof, power windows, etc.  Mechanically, the car is in very good condition as well, however when shifting third gear feels a little 'notchy'.  There are no leaks and all electronics,ac,heat, etc work properly except for the tape player.  The radio still works, however the tape deck will no longer accept tapes.  There have been no modifications to the car other than an ignition booster that was installed at the original time of purchase, and the door panels/glove box fabric has been replaced.  Other than what is mentioned, the car is all original and stock.  I also have the original owners manual, window sticker, and original invoice/bill of sale from dealership when purchased new.  Please review my feedback and purchase with confidence.  Any questions, please ask.  Local pick up only.  Thank you.

Bret Michaels Poisons Nissan's commercial trucking ops

Thu, 31 Jul 2014

Mötley Crüe isn't the only 1980s hair-metal band getting into the world of auto promotion. Poison frontman and reality show star Bret Michaels is following their lead and doing some advertising of his own. Where the Crüe have been all over the airwaves in recent years with a Super Bowl ad for Kia and music licensing with Dodge, Michaels has taken a very different route by becoming the pitchman for Nissan Commercial Vehicles.
The videos run the gamut to advertise predominantly the NV line of full-size vans, but the NV200 shows up a few times too. The star of this new campaign is Michaels' full-length music video (above) for the song Tough Love. It's basically a parody of all of those '80s rock ballads where the bands would slow the tempo down a little and reveal their softer side. Michaels rocks out at the Nissan proving grounds in Stanfield, AZ, while showing off the evaluation process and strutting around like a proper rock frontman. There are also a bunch of shorter videos (below) with the singer highlighting each part of the vans' torture testing. Although, the dialogue in these come off a bit more stilted. With these '80s metal bands getting into advertising, can it be long before Warrant is shilling for Fiat or Ratt for Mazda?

Chevy City Express headed for dealers

Sat, 25 Oct 2014

With competition coming from the Ford Transit Connect, it's high time Chevrolet got in on the compact hauling action and took the fight to its cross-town rival... and it's doing so with a little help from Nissan. The Chevy City Express, a badge-engineered Nissan NV200, is now arriving at dealers, giving Bowtie fans a counter to Dearborn's compact van.
"Our existing customers will love getting behind the wheel of the City Express when it's at their Chevrolet dealership," Ed Peper, GM's vice president of fleet and commercial vehicles said in a statement. "But we're most looking forward to giving potential new customers the opportunity to experience one of many Chevrolet commercial vehicles that best fit their needs."
Prices for the 2015 City Express start at $22,950. Scroll down for the official announcement from Chevrolet.

Nissan union wants French to stop meddling with Renault alliance

Thu, Dec 3 2015

Nissan is getting some unexpected reinforcements in its ongoing battle with the French government over its involvement in Renault. Its Japanese union, which has traditionally been a very hands-off entity, issued harsh criticism for the French government's attempts to assert control over its alliance partner. According to Bloomberg, this is the first time in 16 years that Nissan's union has weighed on the company's affairs, and it's stating its position on the matter in no uncertain terms. The union called France's attempt at scoring double voting rights within Renault "unacceptable and against the intended spirit of the Alliance." "We support the numerous attempts of Nissan to engage with the French government to find a balanced and constructive solution that will benefit and strengthen the Alliance," the union said in a statement obtained by Reuters. It's unclear what impact the union speaking out will have on the current power struggle between Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn (shown above) and the French government, but we doubt it'll contribute to any quicker of a conclusion.
