This auction is for a 1991 Nissan 240sx coupe,2.4L twin cam, with 5 speed manual transmission.

Would make a good project or drift car to an enthusiast, has some rust due to salt and needs some body work or leave it as is and have a drift car project. There is a dent on the front driver side fender and rear passenger quarter panel. Clutch was replaced about a year ago, power windows, power locks, original aluminum rims, and lights work. The speedometer/heads up display stopped working at 99499 but the title has it listed as 199478 so that's what i'm listing it as. I'm assuming its a fuse or something to get the heads up display to work but haven't messed with it.It does run and drive but the battery seems to die after a sitting a while normally a couple days(maybe just a weak battery?). And the break rotors are starting to rust from sitting so i'd suggest new pads at least. This is a 22 year old car its got its flaws scratches ,dents,2 small rock chips on the windshield etc, Please take a look at the pictures(a pictures worth a million words right?) ,serious bidders only, signed title in hand .The car is located in Scranton,PA,18505.I have to many other projects going on don't have time for them all need to down size. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and Thanks for looking.

Can a car be lifted using rubber bands?

Sat, 19 Jan 2013

It's quite amazing what it takes to lift a car. We already know the feat can be accomplished using just a pair of phone books, but what about rubber bands? To the Internet! A video series appropriately titled "Will It Lift" attempted to find out by using a massive crane and a Nissan Micra weighing less than 1,800 pounds.
Doing a little math, the trio determined that it would take 180 rubber bands to support the car. A metal bar was placed through the window openings and another was place atop the car, and then attached together using the rubber bands and hooked to the crane. Now these aren't any special rubber bands or anything. They're just eight-millimeters thick, but the stunt is testing the rubber bands' power in numbers.
We're not going to spoil it for you, so scroll down to check out the video of the stunt.

Nissan Altima and Sentra to get Murano-inspired design redo

Tue, 07 Oct 2014

The Nissan Altima and Sentra sedans are both very competent, economical, comfortable and well-equipped ways of getting from A to B. They're also both decidedly boring to look at, which is not a good trait in their increasingly style-driven segments.
To rectify this, Nissan is planning design overhauls for its mainstream, with the Sentra adopting the sportier, Euro-style looks of the Pulsar, according to The Car Connection. While that (sadly) won't mean the five-door Pulsar will come to the US market, fitting the European stylings to the Sentra should go a long way towards broadening the car's appeal.
That parcel of information comes from Nissan design boss Shiro Nakamura, who spoke to The Car Connection at last week's Paris Motor Show.

Nissan poised to nearly double exports from US by 2015 [w/video]

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

As a part of a plan to double its US export volume by 2015, Nissan started shipping 2014 Pathfinder SUVs from its plant in Smyrna, TN to Australia and New Zealand. These Pathfinders are not only the first right-hand-drive models Nissan has exported from the US, but their 10,000-mile journey through the Gulf of Mexico and across the Pacific is also the automaker's furthest export.
Products from the Smyrna plant are exported to 61 different countries, and Nissan's export volume from the US will account for around 14 percent of its production this year, which is two percent more than 2012. Helping all this is the fact that by early next year, Nissan's production in North and South America will top two million units thanks to added capacity in the US and new plants in Mexico and Brazil. An official video made to look like a news feature joins the press release from Nissan posted below.
