1988 Mitsubishi Montero on 2040-cars
Arcadia, Florida, United States
Wife says sell your toy..... Up for auction is my 1988 Mitsubishi Montero SWB 4X4. Not family friendly enough she says....
New Carburator New Radiator No back seat! No front bumper pictured but a new one is being delivered wed (11/20) and will be on the truck. All lights work All glass is nice! Signals and radio (w cassette) work fine. Interior is decent for its age. Looks good when you detail it. Exterior is clean but it depends on what you want in the long run. I touched up the rig with some rattle cans.... If you want quality shiny paint you will have to paint it.. there has been some body work around the windshield (common), Everythings tight with no leaks. No AC and the heat is ehhh...Creature comforts are nill in this rig. Super fancy crank windows are very enjoyable! Engine runs great. Small coolant leak from heater core line, havent addressed it.. High miles, but again runs great. May have been rebuilt along the way but I have no paperwork. The truck came from So. Cal and has very little degredation as far as rust goes.. Trans shifts well. Needs shocks, but they are fine for cruising around town. Not good for off roading.. Bid on my fun DD and enjoy it or turn this rig into an awesome off road machine. This vehicle is being auctioned/sold as is with no implied warranty. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding! |

Mitsubishi celebrates 30th anniversary in US with Outlander Sport Limited Edition
Thu, 29 Nov 2012The hurrah of the last kind for the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is this Limited Edition that celebrates 30 years of Mitsubishi Motors in North America. Built in North America as well, the 2013 Outlander Sport Limited Edition gets numerous black trim pieces outside, such as the center bumper, side mirror housings, wheel arch trim and skirting and roof rails. It sits on special Argent wheels.
Open the doors and the darkness continues with available Dove Grey and Black leather seating, and black leather parking brake sleeve, all accented by aluminum brake and accelerator pedals. On this model the six-way power driver's seat is standard. The sole performance mod is a new balancer shaft that makes for quicker acceleration without any penalty in the mileage rating.
You can start saying goodbye to this generation of the Outlander Sport in the high-res gallery above, and read more about it in the press release below.
Mitsubishi Concept G4 leaves us feeling blue
Sat, 20 Apr 2013To say we were unimpressed by the 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage that debuted in New York earlier this year would be one heck of an understatement. So pardon us for not oohing and aahing over the Concept G4 that we're seeing for the first time here in Shanghai. It is, basically, a Mirage sedan. Try to contain your excitement.
Mitsubishi states that it intends to roll out the production version of the G4 Concept globally, powered by a 1.2-liter MIVEC engine mated to a continuously variable transmission that should at least be good for some substantial fuel economy gains. The Mirage, after all, is rated at 37/44 miles per gallon city/highway. We're also told that the car will be very lightweight, and that this should aid in making this thing not drive like a total dud.
We'll wait and see how the relatively sharp lines of the concept transfer to production form, but given that we already know what the Mirage looks like, we have a pretty good feeling that we'll be just as underwhelmed the second time around. Have a look below for the press blast.
Mitsubishi Mirage bows in Montreal without a name, Canadian sales promised
Sun, 20 Jan 2013The Detroit Auto Show had plenty of major debuts for North American car buyers, but the Montreal Auto Show is being used for the North American debut of a new subcompact hatchback from Mitsubishi. Although this car is unnamed, it is almost identical to the redesigned Mirage we saw back at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show (and has been on sale in Asian markets such as Thailand since last year), but it is unclear if the car will carry this name when it goes on sale for our neighbors to the north starting this fall.
Aside from a slightly less annoying shade the of green we saw the car painted in at the Tokyo show, there are a few changes made for the car's Canadian debut. The biggest difference is that it is almost three inches longer, which is likely a result of the new rear fascia that is also visually different with some altered lines and small, circular reflectors. Other changes include a bigger three-cylinder engine (with a 1.2-liter displacement instead of the Tokyo car's 1.0-liter engine) and headlights that have new amber lenses for side reflectors.
There is still no word as to whether or not we'll see this new car in Mitsubishi's US lineup anytime soon, but it does seem like a good competitor against cars like that Mazda2, Chevrolet Spark and Hyundai Accent.
