2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Es Sedan 4-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Bronx, New York, United States
This vehicle is a pleasure to drive. If you are into driving stick shifts then this car is for you. I am selling this vehicle because I do not have anymore need for it since I just moved to the city, and there is public transportation everywhere. Not to mention, the number of parking tickets I have seen on my wind shield is too much to handle. I would definitely suggest that the suspension get worked on as well as a tune up. The last time I serviced the vehicle was 3,000 miles ago, and that was just an oil change. She still drives immaculately well, however, and her handling is superb. If you are interested in test driving, feel free to reach out to me and schedule a date to meet. This vehicle has taken me everywhere I needed to go and has never left me stranded, from as far north as Vermont to as far south as SOBE, and she is still purring just like when I first got her. I am sure that she will serve you well, just like she did me. Unfortunately, I was hit driving in the city and that was the last straw for me. My insurance company covered for all of the damages since the cab driver that bumped into me drove away. This was the only hiccup that has happened to her, but she came out looking like nothing ever happened. I know that she will continue to be a reliable vehicle for whoever drives her next as long as you are willing to show her some TLC. Thank you for your time. |

Our best look yet at the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander
Sat, 08 Nov 2014Mitsubishi's has been busily clawing its way back from the brink of irrelevancy in the US market for several years. One of its most important models in that mission is the Outlander CUV, and as we can see from these spy photos, it's upcoming refresh is coming along nicely.
The Outlander was last redesigned for model year 2014, so it does feel a smidge early for a refresh. That said, thanks to a rather polarizing front fascia, we aren't totally surprised that Mitsu has gone to work so soon. Based on these spy shots, we wouldn't be totally surprised if the new Outlander borrowed the more attractive face of Outlander PHEV Concept-S, which was shown back in September during the Paris Motor Show.
It's impossible to tell if the rear of the car will borrow the huge, vehicle-spanning taillights of the Concept-S, but like the front end, we'd expect a fairly significant change to the back of the new Outlander. Our spies also captured a few shots of the cabin, although we don't see any dramatic differences from the current vehicle, aside from some different trim pieces.
2014 Mitsubishi Outlander
Tue, 19 Mar 2013A Good Start On Halting The Slide
We'd like to say that Mitsubishi has had a tough time of it lately, but "lately" isn't exactly the proper descriptor since the brand's troubles have slowly built over the past decade or so. It cut back on its marketing and it cut model lines while leaving what remained in the equivalent of a product cryo-freeze. Then there was the financial crash and replacement models that didn't possess the same edge we expected from the house of the triple diamond. There was the lack of a North American chairman to fight for market-specific initiatives, and hence, models that lacked some of the details that US customers desired and that could sway buying choices in close races. True, that's a battle with an overseas headquarters that you'll hear from the US reps for almost every foreign automaker, but as you pile on the obstacles they multiply exponentially, not additionally. Or there's this: For more than a year, while its competition has been trumpeting new product, Mitsubishi hasn't had any new models. Like, at all.
That changes with the arrival of the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander, an SUV that we're told will begin a new-product offensive over the next 18 months that - along with a much larger marketing budget - should begin to turn things around. This is the third generation of Mitsubishi's volume model, one that hasn't really been changed since it arrived in 2006 and wasn't just showing its age, but practically crowing about it.
Mitsubishi Mirage configurator is alive
Thu, 03 Oct 2013Well, here's the butter knife Mitsubishi is bringing to the subcompact gun fight. It's called the Mirage, and its configurator has just gone live on Mitsubishi's consumer page, allowing those that absolutely must have a brand-new car for not a lot of money (and have never heard of the Nissan Versa, Mazda2, Chevrolet Spark or Ford Fiesta) to build their perfect example.
Prices start at $12,995 for a base DE model with a five-speed manual transmission and $14,195 for the up-market ES with the same transmission. A 74-horsepower, 1.2-liter engine is the sole powerplant. Both trims feature a continuously variable transmission for an extra $1,000 and a range of eight exterior colors, while black is the sole interior color.
Fully loaded with all the assorted packages - there are 10 on the ES model, adding things like navigation, a backup camera and LED ambient lights - the Mirage checks out at $19,540. Feel free to have a go at the configurator yourself.
