2000 Mitsubishi Galant Gtz Sedan 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Port Saint Lucie, Florida, United States
This vehicle is perfect for the cash buyer, looking for a dependable vehicle! This Mitsubishi Gallant GTZ with the 3.0 L V6 engine, runs perfectly, has been well maintained and everything works. This top of the line Mitsubishi Gallant is as loaded as they come with many creature features and sporty performance combined with state of the art safety features. The car has been well maintained as evidenced by the nearly new tires, brakes and battery, as well as the recent replacement of the timing belt and drive belts. Unfortunately, early in the life of this car it was in what was apparently a minor accident (does not show any signs of major damage, nor frame damage) and seems it was only cosmetic damage. Years later, however the two front fenders and one rear quarter panel (probably areas repaired after the accident) has paint and clear coat damage and pealing and needs to be repainted. Cosmetically, a paint job would make the exterior look excellent. Interior is in great condition except the dash has cracked over the years(could be covered with a dashboard cover. If you can get past the cosmetic issue's and/or, plan to paint the car with a cheap total car paint job and get a dash cover, then this car is what you are looking for. Has sporty styling, top of the line, runs perfectly and everything works with no warning lights on. This car will provide many years of dependable service to it's next owner. If you are interested in the car please contact me today to discuss it further. I am selling the vehicle through a small automobile dealer, and will be more than happy to assist if shipping will need to be arranged. The forms of payment we will accept are PayPal, credit card, cash wire or certified funds. Please see the photo's so that you can see the area's requiring paint work and the crack on the dash, and see how nice the rest of the car is. The car can be made available by appointment to be inspected and driven, if you are in South Florida. Have a great day, and don't delay as you will not find a better value in an auto anywhere so don't miss out!!!

2014 Mitsubishi Mirage
Tue, 07 Jan 2014This could have been something great. Last fall, Mitsubishi slapped its triple-diamond badge on a dainty little hatchback called Mirage, offering plenty of functionality and 44 miles per gallon on the highway, all starting at a super-low $12,995. For budget shoppers, this seemed to be a good thing - not to mention a much-needed breath of fresh air for the company's waning US automotive arm.
I will fully admit to being a bit harsh on the Mirage following its debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show, often making it the butt of jokes with my colleagues. But at the end of the day, I love cheap, basic, honest little cars like this, and I wasn't prepared to write off the Mirage until I spent some time behind the wheel. After all, on paper, a Mazda2 looks pretty unremarkable, and yet it's one of my favorite small cars to drive.
Much as I wasn't looking forward to putting my foot in my mouth, I was sort of hoping to feel the same way about the new Mirage. It's a bland package, but it could have been filled with the same spunky spirit and well-meaning composure of vehicles like the aforementioned Mazda, or even stuff like the Honda Fit or Chevy Spark and Sonic.

Japan could consolidate to three automakers by 2020
Thu, Feb 11 2016Sergio Marchionne might see his dream of big mergers in the auto industry become a reality, and an analyst thinks Japan is a likely place for consolidation to happen. Takaki Nakanishi from Jefferies Group LLC tells Bloomberg the country's car market could combine to just three or fewer major players by 2020, from seven today. "To have one or two carmakers in a country is not only natural, but also helpful to their competitiveness," Nakanishi told Bloomberg. "Japan has just too many and the resources have been too spread out. It's a natural trend to consolidate and reduce some of the wasted resources." Nakanishi's argument echoes Marchionne's reasons to push for a merger between FCA and General Motors. Automakers spend billions on research and development, but their competitors also invest money to create the same solutions. Consolidating could conceivably put that R&D money into new avenues. "In today's global marketplace, it is increasingly difficult for automakers to compete in lower volume segments like sports cars, hydrogen fuel cells, or electrified vehicles on their own," Ed Kim, vice president of Industry Analysis at AutoPacific, told Autoblog. Even without mergers, these are the areas where Japanese automakers already have partners for development. Kim cited examples like Toyota and Subaru's work on the BRZ and FR-S and its collaboration with BMW on a forthcoming sports car. Honda and GM have also reportedly deepened their cooperation on green car tech. After Toyota's recent buyout of previous partner Daihatsu, Nakanishi agrees with rumors that the automotive giant could next pursue Suzuki. He sees them like a courting couple. "For Suzuki, it's like they're just starting to exchange diaries and have yet to hold hands. When Toyota's starts to hold 5 percent of Suzuki's shares, this will be like finally touching fingertips," Nakanishi told Bloomberg. "I absolutely do believe that we are not finished seeing consolidation in Japan," Kim told Autoblog. Rising development costs to meet tougher emissions regulations make it hard for minor players in the market to remain competitive. "The smaller automakers like Suzuki, Mazda, and Mitsubishi are challenged to make it on their own in the global marketplace. Consolidation for them may be inevitable." Related Video:
