Very Low Mileage! Metallic Blue, Excellent Condition, Bluetooth Phone, Seats 7 on 2040-cars
Hopkins, South Carolina, United States
This vehicle is in wonderful condition and runs perfectly. Very low mileage (Just under 15K). It's a great car--smoke-free, one owner, and no accidents. We really enjoy driving it and hate to see it go, but we need a larger vehicle.
There is a very small ding in the door from another car door hitting it. The back of the car (interior) has some scratches in the plastic. There is a bit of water-staining on the middle row. I'm pretty sure it will come out with shampooing. This vehicle has been carefully maintained for the last 5 years with regular oil changes and preventive maintenance. It still has a Mitsubishi "anti-corrosion/anti-perforation" warranty until 7 years or 100,000 miles. It's an excellent vehicle for an excellent price! Mitsubishi says it will make money from EVs
Fri, Mar 13 2015The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is the lowest-cost plug-in vehicle available in the US. The spartan EV's small price tag shouldn't lead you to believe the company doesn't see dollar signs where there's a plug. Mitsubishi says that electric vehicles are one of the three profitable segments that have helped the company get back into the black. The other two are light trucks and crossovers. We suspect that the resounding success of the Outlander PHEV played a bigger role in this than the i-MiEV, but you never know. Mitsubishi Motors Corp president Tetsuro Aikawa told Automotive News that the company will keeps its focus on those three segments and ease back on sedans and performance cars. To that end, the Outlander Plug-In Hybrid will come to the US next April, many years after it went on sale in Japan and Europe. The vehicle will fit well with Mitsubishi's plans to shift its strategy to SUVs and CUVs here. Related Video:
Mitsubishi exec says Evo 'will be replaced in spirit' by high-po hybrid SUV
Thu, 02 Oct 2014Stop us if you've heard this one: According to Autocar, the current generation will be the last Mitsubishi Evolution we will ever see.
That, while unfortunate for driving enthusiasts, is a reality we've had plenty of time to digest. The days of wanton fuel burning for the sake of speed and power will soon come to an end. But that doesn't mean the days of performance have to die, too. "Green is still fun to drive," said Mitsubishi UK boss Lance Bradley in a conversation with Autocar. "It's a challenge to make it fun, but not a particularly difficult one. Electric vehicle performance is very good."
So, should we expect a new hybrid sedan to take up the mantle left by the Evo? Not so much. The British magazine quotes Kanenori Okamoto of Mitsubishi as saying, "It will be replaced in spirit by an SUV with high performance," which will apparently incorporate lessons learned in the automaker's efforts at Pikes Peak. The Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution III, which handily broke the EV record at the famed mountain course, will donate much of its high-performance, zero-emissions technology to the project, including its Super All Wheel Control four-wheel-drive system.
