I advise you to check with your home state for applicable registration info as I am not responsable for knowing them. I am very honest & value my excellent reputation more than anything! If you are just as honest then all will go smoothly. I will describe the car to the best of my ability & let you know what I know now what the car needs. As I always say, YOU ARE NOT BIDDING ON A NEW CAR SO DON'T EXPECT ONE! I also reserve the right to end the auction at any time. You may CALL me as I don't text, at 716-884-1082 from 8am-11pm EDT with any questions during the auction & definately after the auction for payment & shipping arrangements. I will be happy to greet & or pick you up at the airport or whatever mode of transportation you choose to get here either during or after the auction. I will also assist you with lodging if need be. If the terms are not met, the car will be re-listed. But I hope that doesn't happen as I want to see it go to a good home. Now for the fun stuff! EQUIPMENT It has an excellent 2.0 4 cyl engine, an excellent automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power gas door, power trunk, tilt wheel, air conditioning, factory am/fm stereo cd player, factory gauges, fold down rear seats, 4 17 inch RUFF racing wheels & 4 P215-45-ZR17 directional low profile steel belted radial tires. DESCRIPTION This car runs & rides excellent. The transmission shifts when & as it should & the engine runs nice & cool. The air conditioning is ice cold & the heat is nice & warm. EVERYTHING WORKS ON THIS CAR INSIDE & OUT. The brake pedal is right up there with no pulsation, the suspension is smooth & tight & the exhaust is quiet. I want to mention the following for all the over picky people out there! The driver rear door outer sun shade has a piece missing but the rest is securely in place. There are small paint chips on the front bumper & about 5 only the size of a pencil eraser on the hood that I touched up as well as a less than normal amount of minor scratches here & there that you would expect on a used car. There is a small "slice" on the side of the carpet on the passenger front but hardly noticeable. The interior is over all in very good condition with a few minor stains here & there. The paint has a couple of small solid bubbles on the roof & in front of the driver rear wheel but is NOT peeling. There are some fish eyes & the paint finish is like the factory Ford clearcoat paint jobs used to be in the 80's. If you wet sand it, it should smooth out pretty well. Everyones standards are different & as for me, it's fine. It was an aweful gray & now it's an awesome Plum Crazy Purple! It was a thorough paint job as they painted in the door jams, trunk & under the hood as evident in the recent pictures. The frame, floors & rockers are very solid as well. The ground effect kit is securely in place all around the car with plenty of ground clearance. The rims alone are $1000! Don't worry, the reserve is well under Kelly Blue Book. As of today, YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPEND A PENNY ON THIS CAR! You can drive it anywhere with confidence! Enter it in shows, take it to the drags or cruise nights while your "diggin' the scene with the gangster lean"! If you like these cars then you'll love this one. You'll never find one like it, it's one of a kind! Again, any questions, CALL me at 716-884-1082 from 8am-11pm EDT. Good luck bidding & God Bless!

Should you buy an EV?
Mon, Aug 17 2015Gas prices are hitting the skids and EVs are following suit; nearly every model in today's market has experienced a double-digit decline in sales – with the always notable exception of the Tesla Model S. Some EVs are in the last year of their generation while others have been half-heartedly designed and engineered to fulfill federal government quotas. The two non-Tesla front runners, the Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf, are in the unfortunate position of offering customers "2015" vehicles that were designed with 2011 in mind. Yet there's plenty of love in the air. Nissan has built over 180,000 Leafs worldwide, and chances are you will be seeing a second electric vehicle accompanying the Leaf when the new generation is released in the coming months. The Chevy Volt now offers the highest customer satisfaction out of any car or truck sold in North America. Forget the luxury cars, the sports cars, the family trucksters, and even the rolling flagship that guides Tesla's jaw dropping valuation on Wall Street. You want happy with your EV? The brand that's rocking the segment right now is Chevy. It's been doing so for a while. The EV market is poised to become a lot more sophisticated over the next 18 months with the three leading manufacturers – Tesla, General Motors, and Nissan – launching five brand new models along with no fewer than 16 other manufacturers making many of their bread and butter cars available as plug-in hybrids. So, if you want to keep your money as far away from the Arab dictatorships and Russian mafia as Mercury is from Pluto, and enjoy your commute, we're more than ready to do our part! So let's begin with the most important question. What's Your Range? How much driving do you generally do in a day? If the answer to that question is 50 miles or fewer, an all-electric vehicle like the Nissan Leaf may be the best ingredient for your driving recipe. This is especially true if you have a second vehicle you can use for the occasional longer drive or are willing to rent for the weekend. But here's a little surprise for you. The upcoming Chevy Volt was designed to be driven in all-electric mode for over 50 miles. Fifty-three, to be exact. Plus, the Volt's battery has experienced a lot fewer deterioration issues than the Nissan Leaf's due in part to the Volt's liquid-cooled battery, which also uses a lot less of its capacity than the air-cooled Leaf's does.
Question of the Day: Most heinous act of badge engineering?
Wed, Dec 30 2015Badge engineering, in which one company slaps its emblems on another company's product and sells it, has a long history in the automotive industry. When Sears wanted to sell cars, a deal was made with Kaiser-Frazer and the Sears Allstate was born. Iranians wanted new cars in the 1960s, and the Rootes Group was happy to offer Hillman Hunters for sale as Iran Khodro Paykans. Sometimes, though, certain badge-engineered vehicles made sense only in the 26th hour of negotiations between companies. The Suzuki Equator, say, which was a puzzling rebadge job of the Nissan Frontier. How did that happen? My personal favorite what-the-heck-were-they-thinking example of badge engineering is the 1971-1973 Plymouth Cricket. Chrysler Europe, through its ownership of the Rootes Group, was able to ship over Hillman Avanger subcompacts for sale in the US market. This would have made sense... if Chrysler hadn't already been selling rebadged Mitsubishi Colt Galants (as Dodge Colts) and Simca 1100s as (Simca 1204s) in its American showrooms. Few bought the Cricket, despite its cheery ad campaign. So, what's the badge-engineered car you find most confounding? Mitsubishi Evo tagged with graffiti faster than you can say 'stop!'
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Ladies and gentlemen, meet Maggie Stiefvater, professional artist and musician, New York Times best-selling author and Mitsubishi Evo owner. Because, as she writes, "In my latest novel, The Dream Thieves, a character drives a car that looks just like mine. Only there's a knife painted on the side of his," she decided to graffiti a knife on the side of hers.
And that's how you get the time-lapse video below of Stiefvater, a few aerosol cans and a lot of stencils enjoying a sunny day in the park.
