2006 Mitsubishi Evolution IX MR - 97%Stock - 14,XXX original miles!!I purchased this car from a close friend, and obviously never ended up using it like I thought I would. Despite the extremely low miles, it's been driven continuously and kept in a private garage. No door dings, etc. The only flaw on the car is a small paint chip on the rear trunk lid. It's barely noticeable, but it is there. Anyway, on with the car details. 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution IX MR (EVO 9) with 14,XXX original miles. 6 Speed Manual. Brembo brakes. Recaro Seats. Apex Silver. Stock forged lightweight BBS wheels. Gauge package with boost pressure, oil temperature, and volts. Factory installed short shift kit. Clear 3M protective film covering all leading edges of vehicle. Clear clean title in hand. Maintenance log below. Car is 98% stock. The rear trunk lid was swapped for a color matched carbon fiber lid (the original trunk lid was sold by previous owner) and the vent in the engine hood was color matched at the same time, for a stealth appearance. That's it. . . those are the only changes to this car from being 100% factory original. Maintenance log below. Brand new Optima Red Top battery installed one month ago. cost $140.00 Brand new Bridgestone S-04 Pole Position Tires (35 miles old) cost $668.00 Just serviced yesterday at Brien Ford/Mitsubishi with Mobile 1 full synthetic. Mitsubishi bringing SUV 'Legend' to the Chicago Auto Show
Thu, Jan 22 2015Mitsubishi claims that "a legend" is returning to its ranks at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show in February. Its save-the-date to the Windy City event just depicts an indistinguishable crossover sitting on top of a sand dune as the only hint of what the Japanese brand has in store. However, according to company spokesperson Alex Fedorak this isn't an entirely new vehicle. Mitsubishi is giving the GC-PHEV concept (pictured below) its North American debut, after originally unveiling it at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. While it's purely a concept, the vehicle is "a designer's rendering of what a new Montero could look like," said Fedorak to Autoblog. While Mitsu is not committing to putting the chunky CUV into production yet, the press conference is going to "talk about what role if any it plays in our future," he said.
Angry dad smashes son's Mitsubishi with Xbox
Fri, 17 Oct 2014It's normal for parents to get frustrated with their kids sometimes. Moms and dads have high hopes for the success of their brood, and when the youngsters let them down, it hurts. That's not an excuse to be destructive, though. Especially not to the point of destroying a Mitsubishi Montero Sport with an Xbox 360 like in this video.
The clip claims to be about a dad upset that his kid doesn't have a job and stays home playing video games. The guy takes his anger out not just on the console but also his son's car. The Mitsubishi definitely takes its fair share of the punishment here even after the Xbox is broken.
If this were real, it would be a pretty horrifying fight to watch. But while we can't be entirely certain, we're almost positive that this argument is completely staged for a number of reasons. The major one is that the same uploader also has videos with millions of total views of the same "Psycho Dad" dropping an Xbox in a pool, running over games with a lawn mower and taking an axe to a laptop. Furthermore, just looking at the clip itself, people don't generally wait for the other person to stop talking when yelling at each other. It also seems a bit suspicious that the kid directly speaks to the audience at one point.
NuTonomy shows that people quickly relax in autonomous cars
Thu, Oct 6 2016For six weeks, nuTonomy has had a fleet of self-driving taxis on the streets of Singapore, and it seems the experiment is already yielding useful information based on rider surveys. CEO Dr. Karl Iagnemma revealed at UPSHIFT 2016 that despite most first-time riders initially being nervous about stepping into a self-driving vehicle, the anxiety quickly fades. In fact, after a minute or two in the car, riders will relax into near boredom. Customers who ride along in either a fully autonomous Renault Zoe or a Mitsuibshi i-MiEV have been providing valuable feedback to engineers pre- and post-ride. The research and data obtained from their self-driving taxi service and the riders who use it is already being integrated into their future, Level 4 autonomous products. The Cambridge, MA, based company has also found that riders are attributing human-like characteristics to the vehicles. It seems that riders prefer when the machines don't behave like machines but more like people. NuTonomoy is tailoring their future vehicles to be less trolly-like. Iagnemma revealed that the company is in talks with other global cities to bring their autonomous products to the roads.
