2006 Mitsubishi Fuso FE140. 14 foot delivery box truck.
Clean inside and out, "ready to go".
California Truck (No Rust)
14,000 GVW. 4 cylinder turbo diesel, (Best fuel mileage in this size truck). Allison automatic transmission (everyone can drive), 4 wheel anti-lock brakes, power windows, AM/ FM CD stereo with remote,
200 miles on in-frame engine over-haul (New cylinder liners and rings, rod and cam bearings with valve job) Just like starting with a new engine. .New brakes front and rear, New batteries, 260K miles on chassis. Everything serviced and checked. Good tires. Truck has been gone though to give you years of service. some bulls eyes in front windshield, no cracks (This comes with all cab over trucks) , Patch on drivers seat bottom left, OE bottom seat skin from Mitsubishi is $ 175.00, will take 2 months to ship over from Japan. I installed a black seat cover on bottom cushion to cover patch.
Due to questions on the engine:
Engine was over hulled due to a compression loss in the #3 cylinder. The shop before I bought the truck miss-diagnosed it as a head gasket, did the repair and then when the engine still had low compression in #3, the company bought a new truck. I am a heavy truck technician trained in Fuso engines. I bought the truck and found a bad liner in #3 cylinder causing the low compression. I replaced all 4 liners and rings to bring the engine back to new compression. While I was in the engine I decided to do a whole in-frame over haul, sending out the head for a valve job and installing new rod and cam bearings. All Mitsubishi dealer parts were used, gaskets filters and all. I have the receipts for all the parts. I was surprised to see one of these engines with a failure, most run 800k +. Engine runs strong.
Transmission fluid was serviced.
I replaced the rear bumper section because the lift gate was transferred to the new truck the company bought. The truck is still wired for a lift gate if needed.
I replaced one tire with a new Yokohama due to wear.
Current California registration to July 2014, I am the 2nd owner. Clean title. First owner was a California fleet maintained corporation delivering dry goods, the box is clean in like new condition with some normal floor and wall wear.

Daimler declares success in electric truck trial [w/video]
Fri, Nov 6 2015Last year, Daimler launched a project to see how eight Fuso Canter E-Cells performed in daily urban service in Portugal. After over 32,000 miles on the road, the newly released results showed astounding figures. Compared to their diesel-counterparts, the commercial EVs slashed operating costs by 64 percent. The trucks were also great for the environment with a 37-percent drop in CO2 emissions after taking into account how the country makes power. Daimler gave the trucks to Portuguese cities and businesses, and the users definitely didn't baby them. In Lisbon, the EV disposed of vegetation, and the Canter E-Cell collected recyclables in Porto. The one with the parcel service Transporta covered over 8,700 miles to make deliveries during the year. On average, the testers used the vehicles about 31 miles a day, but 68 miles was the record distance during the trial. "The results of the practical tests have shown that we are on the right track," Marc Llistosella, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation said in Daimler's announcement. The Daimler Trucks Centre of Competence for Hybrid Technology developed the small run of Canter E-Cells. The models ditch the usual 3.0-liter diesel in favor of an electric motor that produces 148 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Four lithium-ion battery packs with a total of 48.4 kWh are mounted to two sides of the frame. To maximize the range, the system begins recovering energy as soon as the driver lets off the throttle. Check out the video below for a look at how the Portuguese testers put the commercial EVs through their paces. This content is hosted by a third party. Silent and with zero emissions Stuttgart/Porto, Oct 30, 2015 FUSO Canter E-Cell impresses with more than 50,000 kilometres driven 64 percent lower costs compared with conventional diesel engines in customer field trials in Portugal Powerful, high-torque electric motor Targeted operating range of at least 100 kilometres achieved Stuttgart/Porto – 64 percent savings in operating costs - this is the gratifying result of the final analysis of data from customer field trials with eight FUSO Canter E-Cell trucks in Portugal. Apart from the impressive savings in operating costs, the Canter E-Cell also scores points in terms of environmental aspects.
Your 2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb primer: "Donuts at 14,000 feet."
Sun, 30 Jun 2013The teams have all set up their pits and paddocks for today's run of the 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and there's nothing left to do but take a shot at the title. At 8 am Mountain time (9 am EST / 7 am PST), the first of a field of 83 bikes and 63 cars - whittled from an original field of 157 - will race 12.42 miles through 156 turns from the start gate at 9,390 feet to the summit finish at 14,110 feet. The summit is where we'll be all day, having arrived on the media bus at around 5 am and not allowed to come down until the race is finished. If it's anything like last year that could mean a 14-hour day on the top munching on donuts at the summit café, begging for hits of pure oxygen and trying to stay hydrated and warm...
Here are the event with Hyundai, we enjoyed dinner with Rhys Millen got his take on what's happened and what's about to happen. Millen said the issue that caused his engine swap last week was minor, a head gasket (a production part) that was causing a bit of hesitation and a slight drop in top speed. He said it's the first time they've stressed the engines this hard, pushing boost pressures up to 19 psi at altitude, which equates to 25 psi at sea level. Offering testament to the strength of the engines, though, he said that Paul Dallenbach's engine did the entire 2012 drift season as well as Pikes Peak, and it's the engine being used again for the hill climb this year.
We also chatted with Dallenbach, who has come back from that beastly crash last year in the Unlimited category to lead almost every practice day this year in the Time Attack class. Telling us he's happier behind the wheel this year than he has been in 20 years, he asked us, "Know what my dashboard says when I turn the car on? 'Donuts at 14,000 feet.'"
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution recalled over clutch woes
Fri, 25 Oct 2013Mitsubishi will be recalling over 10,000 Lancer Evolutions built between December 12, 2007 and March 5, 2013, covering model years 2008 to 2013. The recall only affects cars with manual transmissions, though, so if you opted for a Lancer Evo with a quick-shifting SST, this recall doesn't apply to you.
If you're one of the 10,474 people that has a Lancer Evo X GSR, which is the only way into a manual-trans Evo X, you need to plan a trip to your local dealer. The recall relates to a failure in the clutch master cylinder, making shifting in and out of gear difficult. Consequently, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that this could increase the odds of crashing.
Mitsu will notify owners of the affected cars, and these Evo models will be repaired, free of charge, at dealerships. The recall is slated to begin around November 11. Scroll down for the full bulletin from the NHTSA.
