Hello, I'm selling my 2 door 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT with 171,100+ miles on it. NO ACCIDENTS EVER IN THIS CAR! I just received a new car for my birthday so no need for this one anymore. Has done me good though while I had it :) Has a clean title. It's a stick shift 5 speed and includes low profile 17" tires that were put on about 3,000 miles ago. Has an Injen cold air intake system, Tein coil overs, a custom Dupont Hot Rod Black paint job (no clear coat for nicer look), tan leather seats (front and back seats), sunroof, spoiler, Greddy racing clutch, nice black rims, tinted windows, key lock gas cap, car cover, 4 disc CD changer, moon roof, Shaved Door Handles (doors opens by remote), 2 sets of remotes & keys, electronic driver seat & electric windows, body kit with some carbon fiber, also carbon fiber on door handles inside, no warning lights are on in this car including check engine. Engine runs well. I changed the oil about 1,500 miles ago and it has been done on the car every 2,500 miles. I know the previous owner well and this car has only had 3 total owners including myself. I had the timing belt changed on the car 5 months ago about 3,000 miles ago, clutch flush done 2/8/2014. The two front wheel hub assemblies were replaced 3 months ago, and I had an oil leak fixed on it few months back. Shifts smooth, drives nice! I will only accept cash in person OR to personally meet you at local bank of your choice to PERSONALLY see you get a cashiers check or loan made out to me so I can verify its authenticity. NO OTHER METHODS EXCEPTED! Don't show up with a check already made out, I won't accept it. Has to be done AT THE BANK! Scammers beware, I won't tolerate your silly messages/calls! If you are local and would like to see it call me: 321 262 1523

****What's wrong on it you ask?******
The A/C doesn't work (needs compressor) I bought it like that and never really needed to use A/C in this car (to save gas) so it's up to you if you want to fix it but the weather in FL is nice enough to drive with windows down until you get it fixed. Heater works fine. There is a little bit of body damage to the side fender and side skirt on driver side (from speed bump). I had the car raised up a few inches since then to prevent further damage. Tein coil overs are awesome (keys included)! But its not that noticeable if you want to wait to get it fixed, doesn't effect the performance of the car.

Lexus tops JD Power Vehicle Dependability Study again, Buick bests Toyota

Wed, Feb 25 2015

It shouldn't surprise anyone, but Lexus has once again taken the top spot in JD Power's Vehicle Dependability Study. That'd be the Japanese luxury brand's fourth straight year at the top of table. The big news, though, is the rise of Buick. General Motor's near-premium brand beat out Toyota to take second place, with 110 problems per 100 vehicles compared to Toyota's 111 problems. Lexus owners only reported 89 problems per 100 vehicles. Besides Buick's three-position jump, Scion enjoyed a major improvement, jumping 13 positions from 2014. Ram and Mitsubishi made big gains, as well, moving up 11 and 10 positions, respectively. In terms of individual segments, GM and Toyota both excelled, taking home seven segment awards each. The study wasn't good news for all involved, though. A number of popular automakers finished below the industry average of 147 problems per 100 vehicles, including Subaru, (157PP100), Volkswagen (165PP100), Ford/Hyundai (188PP100 each) and Mini (193PP100). The biggest losers (by a tremendous margin, we might add) were Land Rover and Fiat, recording 258 and 273 problems per 100 vehicles. The next closest brand was Jeep, with 197PP100. While the Vehicle Dependability Study uses the same measurement system as the Initial Quality Survey, the two metrics analyze very different things. The VDS looks at problems experienced by original owners of model year 2012 vehicles over the past 12 months, while the oft-quoted IQS focuses on problems in the first 90 days of new-vehicle ownership. Like the IQS, though, the VDS has a rather broad definition of what a problem is. Because of that, a low score from JD Power is no guarantee of extreme unreliability, so much as just poor design. In this most recent study, the two most reported problems focused on Bluetooth connectivity and the voice-command systems. The former leaves plenty of room for user error due to poor design (particularly true of the Bluetooth systems on the low-scoring Fords, Volkswagens and Subarus), while the second is something JD Power has already confirmed as being universally terrible. That makes means that while these studies are important, they shouldn't be taken as gospel when it comes to automotive reliability. Mitsubishi recalling 166k cars, crossovers over stall risk

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Mitsubishi is recalling 165,923 vehicles in the US because it's possible for the drive belt to detach from their engines, potentially causing a stall. Specifically, the campaign covers 2008-2011 model-year examples of the Lancer, Lancer Evolution (pictured above) and Outlander as well as the 2009-2011 Lancer Sportback and 2011 Outlander Sport. All of the affected models use some version of the brand's 4B1 four-cylinder engine.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the engine pulley can wear causing the drive belt to slip off. If this happens, the alternator, cooling fan and hydraulic power steering can all stop working, and obviously, any of those things could make driving unsafe. However, if the belt detaches, then a warning light should come on in the cabin.
To fix the problem, Mitsubishi dealers will replace the original belt with a redesigned rubber part and will inspect the pulley. If worn, it'll also be replaced free of charge.

MotorWeek remembers a better time for Mitsubishi performance

Fri, Feb 26 2016

Dodge still knows how to create an capable performance car – look at the Hellcats, for example – but the same isn't true for Mitsubishi. With the Lancer Evo's demise, we don't expect driving enthusiasts to clamor for any of the Japanese automaker's other products. Things used to be different, though. As MotorWeek found in its new Retro Review, the 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 and its sibling, the Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo, were impressive sports coupes in their day. Dodge and Mitsubishi packed a bevy of cutting-edge tech into the coupes. In these trims, both sported all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, an adjustable suspension, active exhaust, and automatic climate control. The 3000GT VR4 upped the ante even more with active aero parts at the front and rear. Their 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 was good for 300 horsepower and 307 pound-feet, which were good numbers at the time. This pair put all their gizmos to good use, too. MotorWeek compares the all-wheel-drive system's grip levels to a Porsche 911 Carrera 4. When was the last time you heard any favorable similarity between a Mitsubishi and a Porsche? The Stealth R/T Turbo and 3000GT VR4 came from a special time for Japanese sports coupes, when every brand had a halo model. Whether you were looking at Nissan 300ZX, Mazda RX-7, Toyota Supra, or even the Acura NSX, there was a lot to like on the market. MotorWeek's latest Retro Review offers a great reminder of that period.
