Low 34000 Miles Mitsubishi Eclipse Gt Sports Edition *fully Loaded 6sp Manual V6 on 2040-cars
Jacksonville, Florida, United States
I have been the only owner of this car, and it has spent a total of 5 years in storage (heated, with regular checks) due to my military commitments overseas. Thus, it has only 34,000 miles on it and it is in absolutely EXCELLENT condition. I have had it out of storage for over a year now, and everything is performing perfectly. I have always taken very good care of it, had regular maintenance (oil changes, fluid checks) performed, and it has never been smoked in. 2006 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE GT 2-DOOR SPORT COUPE 3.8L SOHC V6 W/MPI FUEL INJECT MIVEC 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANS W/ OD 50 STATE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM Please note this is the GT model with the included GT Premium Sport Package. This is the highest end model of the Eclipse that was made, and this one has every option that was available. This includes a 10-speaker (with subwoofer) Rockford Fosgate sound system, leather, power everything, and much more. Here they are, in detail: WHAT I HAVE ADDED: - TIRES: P235/45R-18 Goodyear Eagle RS-A (Put on June 21st, 2013 - Please note I have another vehicle, so these have not been driven on much at all. The MSRP for these tires is $282 each (totaling $1128). Specifications can be found at the Goodyear website. - DEEP WINDOW TINT: (100% scratch free and in perfect condition. It is super dark black. Plus, I put this on right when I purchased the car, so this combined with the car being in storage and my always using a sun visor for the windshield, the interior has had no effects from the sun.) - FRONT END LEATHER LE BRA COVER: I just put this on a few months ago. It is not covering up defects, I just like how it looks. It is 2-pieces and can easily be removed if you wish. SAFETY FEATURES: - ADVANCED DUEL STAGE FRONT AIR BAGS - DUAL SEAT MOUNTED SIDE AIR BAGS - DUAL CURTAIN AIR BAGS - SIDE IMPACT DOOR BEAMS - 3-POINT SAFETY BELTS, FRONT & REAR - UPPER & LOWER CHILD RESTRAINT ANCHOR SYSTEM - ANTI-THEFT ENGINE IMMOBILIZER - DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS PERFORMANCE / HANDLING: - ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM - POWER ASSISTED 4-WHEEL DISC BRAKES - PWR ASSISTED RACK/PINION STEERING - 4-WHEEL INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION - FRONT & REAR STABILIZER BARS - FRONT STRUT TOWER BARS - TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM COMFORT / CONVENIENCE: - POWER WINDOWS W/ DRIVER SIDE AUTO DOWN & 30 SECOND POWER RESERVE (very nice for the driver!) - POWER DOOR LOCKS - AM/FM/CD W/6 SPEAKERS & MP3 PLAYBACK - HIGH-CENTER CLOCK & AUDIO SYSTEM DISPLAY WITH COMPASS & OUTSIDE TEMP - CRUISE CONTROL - ICE BLUE LED ILLUMINATION (Looks awesome at night.) - MAP LIGHTS WITH DIMMING FEATURE - VARIABLE INTERMITTENT FRONT & REAR WIPERS - REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY WITH PANIC (Works from pretty far away!) - 50/50 SPLIT FOLD-DOWN REAR SEAT BACK (Very, very nice. With the hatchback, you can fit almost anything in this car if need be.) - HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE STEERING COLUMN - ILLUMINATED VISOR VANITY MIRRORS - 12V ACCESSORY OUTLETS (2) (One is inside the center console. There is a wire trough if you want to plug something in there and run the wire out. Very convenient.) - CARGO COVER EXTERIOR FEATURES: - FOG LAMPS - COLOR-KEYED POWER SIDE VIEW MIRRORS - INTEGRATED REAR SPOILER - INTEGRATED REAR-WINDOW ANTENNA - CLEAR LED TAIL LAMPS GT PREMIUM SPORT & ACCESSORY PACKAGE FEATURES: - PREMIUM SUNSET PEARLESCENT PAINT - LEATHER SEATING - 18-INCH ALLOY WHEELS (These do have some dings on them, but could be fixed.) - POWER SUNROOF/MOONROOF (Putting the moonroof all the way back is so nice!) - 650W (MAX) ROCKFORD FOSGATE 9 SPEAKERS INCLUDING 10" SUBWOOFER AM/FM/6-DISC IN-DASH CHANGER WITH DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING & STEERING WHEEL AUDIO CONTROLS (This is a serious sound system, and the bass from the subwoofer is ridiculous. It has a 6-disc CD/MP3 changer, all right in the dashboard.) - AUTO AIR CONDITIONING (You set the temperature you want, and it will keep it there. The air gets super cold, super fast) - AUTO DIMMING REAR VIEW MIRROR - POWER 6-WAY ADJUSTABLE DRIVER SEAT WITH LUMBAR (So comfy!) - ALLOY PEDALS - HEATED FRONT SEATS (Once you have them, you may never be able to live without them again!) - HEATED DOOR MIRRORS (I've never lived anywhere cold, but I would imagine this could melt snow and ice off.) - ALLOY FUEL DOOR - WHEEL LOCKS - CARGO NET (This goes in the trunk and can be put on or taken off in a second. It's very handy.) - CARGO FLOOR MAT - SPORTS FLOOR MATS |

Mitsubishi's crossover plan: New model coming to Geneva, Outlander PHEV finally on the way
Fri, Jan 6 2017Mitsubishi announced last night that it will be concentrating on crossovers for the foreseeable future (which includes leaving the Lancer behind). That future starts at this year's Geneva show, where the company will reveal a completely new small crossover. This new vehicle, the name of which Mitsubishi didn't reveal, is planned to reach dealers in early spring of 2018. It will feature a new version of Mitsubishi's All Wheel Control (AWC) all-wheel drive and a new turbocharged engine that we're told was designed completely in-house. We expect the new crossover to share cues with recent Mitsubishi concepts, including the eX Concept and Ground Tourer, since Mitsubishi's general manager of design strategy Kazuo Yano said they will set the tone for future Mitsubishis. Don Swearingen, executive vice president and COO of Mitsubishi in North America, said this new vehicle is the "best vehicle Mitsubishi has ever produced." That may not be the tallest order given the automaker's recent models, but it's definitely a good goal. As for the size of this new crossover, it will probably be comparable to the current Outlander Sport. The plan is that the Outlander Sport and Outlander will be changing sizes in the coming years. The former will shrink and the latter will grow, leaving space in the middle for the new small crossover. There will be an awkward overlapping period, though, since we're told both Outlander flavors are scheduled for a mild refresh sometime next year that won't include size changes. The resized Outlander models will come sometime after that refresh. (If we're lucky, one will get a new name to reduce confusion, especially with a new model sitting between them.) Speaking of Outlanders, we now know when we will finally get the Outlander PHEV, a variant that has been promised and re-promised for years now. A Mitsubishi PR representative said that the plug-in hybrid crossover will be on sale in the US sometime in the next fiscal year. (For reference, Mitsubishi's current fiscal year ends this March.) Swearingen said it will also make its official debut later this year. So after many, many delays, the US will finally see Mitsubishi's plug-in crossover. We'll see if it's as big a sales success here as it is in Europe. Final edition Mitsubishi Evo X arrives next June as 5MT GSR
Sat, Nov 29 2014Jalopnik recenly held an online Q&A session with Don Swearingen, an executive vice president at Mitsubishi Motors North America. If you're into Mitsu you should peruse the whole thread because questioners jumped all over the subject map, asking about getting the Delica here (not going to happen) and a new Montero (another concept presaging production is coming to the Chicago Auto Show next year), the company's fleet vehicle stance (they kill residuals, Mitsu isn't interested), and a Mirage racing series (right now it doesn't make sense). But for any enthusiast, every question not dealing with a new Lancer Evolution XI is merely a side dish. On that note, Swearingen took his turn ringing the death knell for the Evo series, saying "There are currently no plans for an Evo XI," which is kinder than his words at the LA Auto Show when he told Motor Trend, "Its time has come and gone." Nevertheless, he gave us a few more details on the final edition Evo Special Action Model that Automotive News reported on three months ago: it will be a GSR five-speed with "More horsepower, some suspension tuning, and some bits pieces that are still being finalized. Around 2,000 units will be available." Those of you hoping for a spiffier interior or a massive curb weight diet won't take much solace from that, but the 2,000 or so buyers who get to drive the hommage to The Once and Future King probably won't mind.
Mitsubishi Mirage bows in Montreal without a name, Canadian sales promised
Sun, 20 Jan 2013The Detroit Auto Show had plenty of major debuts for North American car buyers, but the Montreal Auto Show is being used for the North American debut of a new subcompact hatchback from Mitsubishi. Although this car is unnamed, it is almost identical to the redesigned Mirage we saw back at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show (and has been on sale in Asian markets such as Thailand since last year), but it is unclear if the car will carry this name when it goes on sale for our neighbors to the north starting this fall.
Aside from a slightly less annoying shade the of green we saw the car painted in at the Tokyo show, there are a few changes made for the car's Canadian debut. The biggest difference is that it is almost three inches longer, which is likely a result of the new rear fascia that is also visually different with some altered lines and small, circular reflectors. Other changes include a bigger three-cylinder engine (with a 1.2-liter displacement instead of the Tokyo car's 1.0-liter engine) and headlights that have new amber lenses for side reflectors.
There is still no word as to whether or not we'll see this new car in Mitsubishi's US lineup anytime soon, but it does seem like a good competitor against cars like that Mazda2, Chevrolet Spark and Hyundai Accent.
