2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Se - Low Miles - One Owner on 2040-cars
Los Angeles, California, United States
Hottttt car!!!! Never had any problems, I have babied this beauty since I got her in 2007. All regular oil changes and tune ups, she just had her most recent one today. She is 2.4 L 162 HP with 0-60mph in 8.4 seconds, she's powerful. She has very low miles 50,800 and is ready to go to a new home. She has the sports package with the multi CD changer Rockford Fosgate system and the subwoofer in the back. Sounds sweet. And the blue xeon lights with the metal gas tank and bucket seats. She's hotttt!!!!! The ONLY reason why I am selling her is because I need a 4 door for work. Otherwise, I would not sell her, but I need the down to get the 4 door. I am an honest seller and will let you know anything you need to know. The only thing wrong with her right now is some scratches that a douchebag walking by did. You can't see them from about 5-6 feet away, but they are visible under that. You can see the pics below. Scratches are on both sides. I found a blog where you can fix them for $100 with a six pack of beer, if you are one of those people that are willing to put in the time that I can give you. Or you can take it to a shop to have them fixed too. So without further ado, here are the specs for this baby. The worst rally driver you've ever seen
Wed, 14 Aug 2013Fast cars and excellent driving skills might be the easy answers when asking how to succeed in rally racing, but after watching this video, a good teammate is obviously an important aspect of this sport, too. During the 2013 Rally of Coimbatore in India, driver Samir Thapar and his co-driver, Vivek Ponnusamy, didn't seem to be on the same page as the two attempted to navigate the course in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
We'd probably hear drastically different stories if we talked to Thapar and Ponnusamy about this particular event, but you know things are bad when "stay on road" and "turn the wheel" are commands given by the co-driver (and yes, that's a man running for his life in the screen shot shown above). As it turned out, though, it seems like the Ponnusamy was justified in his concerns to take care of the racecar. Race results show that despite winning three of the seven stages, this team ultimately ended the race with a DNF.
Scroll down to watch the video, and even though it's been edited down from almost 40 minutes to less than four, we get the idea that it wasn't a pleasant experience for driver or co-driver.
Mitsubishi boss says US operations may break even next year
Sat, 23 Nov 2013Mitsubishi has lost money in its North America operations every year since 2007, but in an interview at this week's Tokyo Motor Show, company president Osamu Masuko said, "If things keep going well, it might be the case that we break even this year," Automotive News reports.
A little context: Last month Mitsubishi predicted that it would lower its operating loss in the region to 4-billion yen ($40.7 million) by March 31, the end of the fiscal year, well below the previous fiscal year's operating loss of more than five times that amount. Reflecting that, production at the Japanese automaker's sole North American factory in Normal, Illinois, has grown to 56,630 vehicles through October, compared to 27,339 through the same period last year.
The plant makes the Outlander Sport for the US and for export to markets such as Russia, the Middle East and Latin America. Interestingly, out of the 56,630 Outlander Sports built at the Illinois plant through October, only 20,150 were sold in the US.
1,500 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Ralliart models recalled for fuel tank wear
Thu, Sep 24 2015The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is famous for its ability to slide at high speed through the dirt in rally stages all over the world, but 1,497 examples of the 2014 and 2015 Evo and Lancer Ralliart are now facing a recall in the US for potential wear to their fuel tanks. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the right parking brake cable can rub against the tank, and this can cause a protective coating to come off, leading to rusting or even a possible leak. NHTSA documents (as a PDF) report no actual claims of this happening, though. To rectify the problem, Mitsubishi dealers will replace the right parking brake cable on all of the affected models. While doing the work, they'll also inspect the fuel tank, and if worn, it'll be switched out, as well. Notifications to customers will go out in the next couple of weeks, according to Mitsubishi spokesperson Alex Fedorak to Autoblog. RECALL Subject : Parking Brake Cable Contacting Fuel Tank Report Receipt Date: AUG 31, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V546000 Component(s): FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE , PARKING BRAKE Potential Number of Units Affected: 1,497 All Products Associated with this Recall Vehicle Make Mode lModel Year(s) MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION 2014-2015 MITSUBISHI LANCER RALLIART 2014-2015 Details Manufacturer: Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. SUMMARY: Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (Mitsubishi) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Lancer Evolution vehicles manufactured January 31, 2014, to September 5, 2014, and 2014-2015 Lancer Ralliart vehicles manufactured February 3, 2014, to September 5, 2014. The affected turbocharged vehicles have a right parking brake cable that may contact the fuel tank, wearing away the tank's protective coating. CONSEQUENCE: Without the protective coating, the fuel tank may rust and leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. REMEDY: Mitsubishi will notify owners, and dealers will replace the right parking brake cable, and inspect the fuel tank, free of charge. If the fuel tank's exterior coating shows signs of damage from abrasive contact with the right parking brake cable, the fuel tank will also be replaced, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Mitsubishi customer service at 1-888-648-7820. Mitsubishi's number for this recall is SR-15-009.
