This is my 2008 Evo X MR, I bought this car brand new on August 1st 2008 and it's been my daily driver ever since. This was the first new car I've ever owned and it's treated me well. Such a fun car to drive. Only reason I'm selling is because I need something that's going to be more fuel efficient. I really hate getting rid of it, especially after all the money I just put into it making it brand new again. I just can't afford the insurance and gas any more. Looking for a quick sale, if it doesn't go this week it's being traded in.

This car has nav, Rockford Fosgate, and the Aero package (large wing with lip spoiler, rear spats, side skirts, and front lip spoiler).

Modifications are as follows,
Rexpeed OEM style Vortex generator
Rexpeed short carbon fiber antenna
ViS racing carbon fiber engine cover
HKS Hi-Power catback exhaust
Password JDM hot side intercooler pipe
Password JDM front strut bar
AFE intake
AEM Uego wideband
AEM boost gauge

*

One of the factory BBS center caps was lost on the highway, and one of the wheels was curbed while parking about a year ago. Other wise, it's fine. A few minor scratches, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a 6 year old car. Paint is in overall great shape. Interior is great, seat wear is minimal, none of the plastic is faded, electronics work, etc.

Contact me for more info, thanks for looking

Mitsubishi struggling to sell doomed plant due to union workers

Sat, Oct 3 2015

Mitsubishi is about to end vehicle production in the US, but the company is having serious problems finding a buyer for its Normal, IL, factory that currently assembles the Outlander Sport. A major sticking point, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal, is the plant's workforce of over 900 United Auto Workers members. The automaker has been trying to find another company to take over the site for months and has set November as the point to stop manufacturing there. The Normal, IL, factory is unique because it's the only plant in the country that's run by a Japanese automaker with a UAW-represented workforce, after starting as a joint venture with Chrysler. That makes Ford, General Motors, and FCA the preferred buyers because they could conceivably take over the union contract. However, the Blue Oval and the General likely aren't interested. According to plant officials speaking to The Wall Street Journal, FCA and some unnamed car companies are potential buyers, but there's absolutely nothing final, yet. Proponents argue that buying the location is cheaper than building a new one. Making matters harder is that the UAW and Mitsubishi are currently negotiating a new union contract, and the factory's next owner might have to take over the deal, according to the WSJ. The workers were ready to vote whether to strike recently, but that was averted when an announcement on the local's webpage said a tentative agreement was expected Sunday. Of course, the Big Three have been experiencing their own, similar issues with crafting deals, too. Related Video:

Mitsubishi wants to bring a plug-in hybrid Montero to the US

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

As Mitsubishi's turnaround takes hold, we can talk less about the company's survival in the US market and more about what kinds of products we might see in the future: there's a hybrid Evo on the way and its joint venture with Renault-Nissan will deliver a C-segment sedan. Furthermore, it might even deliver a dividend to its shareholders next year.
In addition to Mitsubishi announcing its intent to focus on SUVs, pickup trucks and crossovers, company president Osamu Masuko gave an interview to Automotive News saying that the plan is for model lines to have two or three power train options: gas, plug-in hybrid, diesel. Believing that fuel economy standards will force the expansion of the plug-in hybrid market, Masuko wants to bring a PHEV Pajero to the US (the Montero in our market) because it will restore the brand's place in the full-size SUV segment with a well known nameplate, and help the company reach its goal of making PHEVs 20 percent of its product offering.
We love the idea of a new Montero - and we hope there's a traditional gas model that would come with the PHEV - the question is what would it look like? The Concept GC-PHEV we saw at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show could offer clues, but with Masuko listing the SUV as the company's second most popular model behind pickups, how daring could designers get with it? On the other hand, if you compare the Concept PX-MiEV shown at Tokyo in 2011, the similarity to the production Outlander is more than one might expect for a crossover that's become a major seller for the brand. With an introduction due in 2015 or 2016, we shouldn't have to wait long to find out. Regrettably, there's still no word on the return of a Mitsubishi pickup truck.

Mitsubishi says 2016 Outlander PHEV for US 'will be completely different'

Tue, 08 Jul 2014

While attending the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with Mitsubishi we got a chance to speak to three Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) executives about the Outlander PHEV, how the brand is strengthening its lineup and how it plans to promote that.
The Outlander PHEV that's quickly and quietly rolling off lots in Japan, Europe and Australia right now is not the same model we're going to get when it arrives in Fall 2015, with MMNA Executive Vice President Don Swearingen and US PR chief Alex Fedorak telling us that "it will be completely different." It can probably be viewed as the next-generation vehicle, part of the "major restyle in 2016" that will reskin the model in the new design language being applied to the brand's crossovers.
Its hybrid system is being tuned for more refinement, and the same work being done on the interior.
