2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Mr ***brand New Motor 28 Miles!*** on 2040-cars
Florence, South Carolina, United States
*Had an issue with my motor and I just got a brand new one straight from Mitsubishi. New motor, turbo, manifolds, power steering etc. Less than 30 miles on it. I got the motor from this ad on ebay, I have paperwork, but you can contact their service department for more info http://www.ebay.com/itm/MITSUBISHI-EVO-X-4B11-TURBO-CRATE-ENGINE-MOTOR-2008-2009-2010-2011-2012-2013/251569247563?_trksid=p2050601.c100270.m3465&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140813115946%26meid%3D1cf8baabb4094c558598a837e5c144cd%26pid%3D100270%26prg%3D20140813115946%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D251569247563%26clkid%3D9220611304297587050&_qi=RTM1562569 This is my 2008 Evo X MR, I bought this car brand new on August 1st 2008 and it's been my daily driver ever since. This was the first new car I've ever owned and it's treated me well. Such a fun car to drive. Only reason I'm selling is because I need something that's going to be more fuel efficient. I really hate getting rid of it, especially after all the money I just put into it making it brand new again. I just can't afford the insurance and gas any more. Looking for a quick sale, if it doesn't go this week it's being traded in. This car has nav, Rockford Fosgate, and the Aero package (large wing with lip spoiler, rear spats, side skirts, and front lip spoiler). Modifications are as follows, Rexpeed OEM style Vortex generator Rexpeed short carbon fiber antenna ViS racing carbon fiber engine cover HKS Hi-Power catback exhaust Password JDM hot side intercooler pipe Password JDM front strut bar AFE intake AEM Uego wideband AEM boost gauge * One of the factory BBS center caps was lost on the highway, and one of the wheels was curbed while parking about a year ago. Other wise, it's fine. A few minor scratches, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a 6 year old car. Paint is in overall great shape. Interior is great, seat wear is minimal, none of the plastic is faded, electronics work, etc. Contact me for more info, thanks for looking Steven |

Mitsubishi rolls out new Pajero Sport in Thailand
Mon, Aug 3 2015Mitsubishi is launching the new Pajero Sport you see here, based on the latest Triton/L200 pickup introduced late last year. The new Pajero Sport (known as the Challenger in certain markets) replaces a model that's been on the market for seven years now. The midsize sport-utility vehicle is being introduced first in Thailand, but will be sold in about 90 countries around the world. Those will include Australia, Russia, and markets in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia – regions in which Mitsubishi has sold some 400,000 units of the previous Pajero Sport. Behind the imposing new Dynamic Shield front end sits a 2.4-liter turbo diesel driving all four wheels through a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The combination is said to be a good 17 percent more economical than the previous model's. Full specs have yet to be revealed, but it's expected to produce around 180 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. The new Pajero Sport also packs all the latest safety technologies, including automatic braking, blind spot monitor, and ultrasonic misacceleration systems. Rock-crawlers will also appreciate the off-road mode, hill descent control, and increased wading depth, all of which add up to make the Pajero Sport a very different kind of high-riding Mitsubishi than the new Outlander recently introduced on our side of the Pacific. Here in North America, truck-based SUVs are steadily losing ground to car-based crossovers. But overseas – particularly in the Asia-Pacific region and Australia – they're not only surviving, but thriving. In addition to this Pajero Sport, Ford recently introduced its new Ranger-based Everest, and Toyota the new Fortuner based on the HiLux. World Debut of the All-new Pajero Sport Mid-size SUV in Thailand Popular SUV's first full redesign in seven years to reach some 90 countries Tokyo, August 1, 2015 – Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) today announces the world premiere of first full-redesign of the Pajero Sport mid-size SUV in seven years in Thailand, where it is produced at Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co. Ltd.'s*1 Laem Chabang Plant. Sales start in Thailand from this fall, and MMC plans to introduce the all-new Pajero Sport sequentially in Australia, the ASEAN nations, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Russia and, as with its predecessor, to sell the new model in some 90 countries.
Nissan's purchase of Mitsubishi is officially official
Thu, Oct 20 2016After the company's announcement in May, the Nissan's purchase of a 34 percent stake in Mitsubishi is now official. The deal cost Nissan $2.3 billion, according to the Wall Street Journal, and brings Mitsubishi into the Nissan-Renault Alliance. The company explained that this new partnership will manifest itself in shared vehicle platforms and technology, joint purchasing, and shared manufacturing. Nissan also said that this purchase will make the company one of the three largest companies by volume in the world. Nissan also emphasized that Mitsubishi will very much be a partner in the current alliance with Renault. In addition, Carlos Ghosn, CEO of both Nissan and Renault, has been nominated to be the new chairman of the Mitsubishi board. With Ghosn at the head of the board, current Mitsubishi president and CEO, Osamu Masuko, will remain in his positions but Nissan's current chief competitive officer will join Masuko as co-chief executive officer at Mitsubishi. With these companies now working together, we'll probably start seeing more commonality between Nissan and Mitsubishi products here in the States. It would also be a great opportunity to get some of Mitsubishi's cooler products here. Perhaps Mitsubishi and Nissan will take our hint about the Delica. This article has been revised to clarify that Nissan Motors purchased the stake in Mitsubishi, not the Nissan-Renault Alliance, and to add the value of the purchase. Mitsubishi Outlander, Evo to keep things safe at Pikes Peak
Tue, 18 Jun 2013Mitsubishi has already announced that it will be returning as a competitor to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with a pair of all-electric MiEV Evolution II racecars. In addition to these entrants, the automaker will also be the presenting sponsor of the race as well as providing the official safety vehicles to the event using specially prepped versions of the 2014 Outlander and Lancer Evolution.
While it isn't clear what exactly will be demanded of the safety vehicles, this isn't going to your run-of-the-mill pace car duty. To get the Outlander and Evo ready for the 156-turn, 12.42-mile course, Mitsubishi teamed up with companies such as BBS, Cobb Tuning, AEM and Muellerized Suspension Systems as well as DC Sports and Kenwood to create these one-off safety cars. These vehicles, and all the racecars, will be at Pikes Peak later this month for the 91st running of America's second-oldest racing event. Scroll down for the official press release.
