2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Ix Sedan 4-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
New Britain, Connecticut, United States
2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX for sale with 100,400 miles, original owner, all service records. This car is in overall great condition. The only modifications are the dynoflash stage 1 tune, cone air intake, and ACT clutch.
Details Paint: If there are any flaws with this car it's the paint chips on the front of the car, but Mitsubishi doesn't have the best paint to begin with. There are also a few scratches on the door jams from the bike roof rack. The car still looks great when clean. Wheels & Tires: Complete refinish of the wheels over last winter by ctwheelrepair. They look brand new. Michelin pilot super sports with two summers worth of miles on them, 8/32's of tread left. I also have a set of dark grey wheels and snow tires for the winter which I will include. Engine: 100,400 miles, oil changed every 5k with mobile 1. I have a stage 1 tune by dynoflash that was installed at 7k miles. Basic cone filter replaces the stock air box which I still have. The car dyno's at 300whp. Clutch: I replaced the stock clutch at 60k miles with an ACT street clutch. 60k miles on a stock evo clutch shows you how well I treated the car. I know people that went through clutches in less than 10k. Brakes: I replaced the brakes and rotors over this past winter with DBA slotted discs in the front and blanks in the rear. Girodisc SS pads all around. Brake fluid replaced one year ago. Interior: The interior is in great shape except for the front driver floor mat which needs to be replaced. So as you can see this car is in great condition, lightly modified, single owner and perfect working order. I'm 38 years old with two kids and need a larger car for a changing lifestyle. I loved this car and will miss it dearly. |

Mitsubishi rolls out new Pajero Sport in Thailand
Mon, Aug 3 2015Mitsubishi is launching the new Pajero Sport you see here, based on the latest Triton/L200 pickup introduced late last year. The new Pajero Sport (known as the Challenger in certain markets) replaces a model that's been on the market for seven years now. The midsize sport-utility vehicle is being introduced first in Thailand, but will be sold in about 90 countries around the world. Those will include Australia, Russia, and markets in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia – regions in which Mitsubishi has sold some 400,000 units of the previous Pajero Sport. Behind the imposing new Dynamic Shield front end sits a 2.4-liter turbo diesel driving all four wheels through a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The combination is said to be a good 17 percent more economical than the previous model's. Full specs have yet to be revealed, but it's expected to produce around 180 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. The new Pajero Sport also packs all the latest safety technologies, including automatic braking, blind spot monitor, and ultrasonic misacceleration systems. Rock-crawlers will also appreciate the off-road mode, hill descent control, and increased wading depth, all of which add up to make the Pajero Sport a very different kind of high-riding Mitsubishi than the new Outlander recently introduced on our side of the Pacific. Here in North America, truck-based SUVs are steadily losing ground to car-based crossovers. But overseas – particularly in the Asia-Pacific region and Australia – they're not only surviving, but thriving. In addition to this Pajero Sport, Ford recently introduced its new Ranger-based Everest, and Toyota the new Fortuner based on the HiLux. World Debut of the All-new Pajero Sport Mid-size SUV in Thailand Popular SUV's first full redesign in seven years to reach some 90 countries Tokyo, August 1, 2015 – Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) today announces the world premiere of first full-redesign of the Pajero Sport mid-size SUV in seven years in Thailand, where it is produced at Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co. Ltd.'s*1 Laem Chabang Plant. Sales start in Thailand from this fall, and MMC plans to introduce the all-new Pajero Sport sequentially in Australia, the ASEAN nations, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Russia and, as with its predecessor, to sell the new model in some 90 countries.
Mitsubishi boss says US operations may break even next year
Sat, 23 Nov 2013Mitsubishi has lost money in its North America operations every year since 2007, but in an interview at this week's Tokyo Motor Show, company president Osamu Masuko said, "If things keep going well, it might be the case that we break even this year," Automotive News reports.
A little context: Last month Mitsubishi predicted that it would lower its operating loss in the region to 4-billion yen ($40.7 million) by March 31, the end of the fiscal year, well below the previous fiscal year's operating loss of more than five times that amount. Reflecting that, production at the Japanese automaker's sole North American factory in Normal, Illinois, has grown to 56,630 vehicles through October, compared to 27,339 through the same period last year.
The plant makes the Outlander Sport for the US and for export to markets such as Russia, the Middle East and Latin America. Interestingly, out of the 56,630 Outlander Sports built at the Illinois plant through October, only 20,150 were sold in the US.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution will live through 2015
Thu, 29 May 2014If it were only so easy for humans. Mitsubishi has extended the life of the Lancer Evolution X by at least a year. An MMNA spokesperson tells AutoGuide that it is "committed to introducing the 2015 model year Lancer Evolution," noting that production for said models will begin in July. This gives us a year of clarity about the future of a model whose future blinks in and out of existence quicker than a boson particle.
As far as we can tell, the Evo as we know it is definitely going to die, the question is when. In March, Mitsubishi said it "does not have any plans to design a successor with the current concept, as a high-performance four-wheel drive gasoline-powered sedan." What is rumored to fill the hole left by the Evo might or might not be a linear descendent, but is expected to be some kind of hybridized high-performance model about which much has been speculated.
MMNA PR manager Alex Fedorak told Autoblog, "Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is committed to introducing the 2015 model year Lancer Evolution in the U.S. Production of North American-specification Lancer Evolution models for the 2015 model year will commence in July 2014." Our previous advice still stands, however, even with the extension: If you want one, get an Evo while you can.
