I bought the car in February 2011.  It is a FANTASTIC car.  It's in great running condition and can comfortably be driven cross country.  I've put tons of work into this car, runs great.  Comfortable interior.  Brand new PA inspection good until June 2014.  It's a fun car to drive, handles great around curves, lots of power, drives like a little sports car with the interior comfort of a luxury car.  Automatic climate control, both heating and air work, as well as heated leather seats.

Work Done: $4,585

Tires -- 11/11 -- 70k mi warranty, put on at 102,967mi, Firestone Affinity Touring BL P215/60R16 94T (approx 50k mi left on warranty) -- $389
Battery -- 5/12 -- $100
Exhaust Work -- 6/12 -- $800
Brake Pads, Calipers, Rotors, Brake Lines -- 8/12 -- $1000
Fuel Lines, Fuel Filter -- 8/12 -- $250
Transmission -- 2/13 --  $2,046

Slight shimmy at 75mph+, possible wheel balance, not sure.
Slight body rust, see pics.
Radio does not work.  Don't know why.  I bought it like that.  Presumably a loose wire behind radio. (Original Factory Radio)
Door handles on passenger side may need replaced. (Again, I bought it like that.  Just never replaced.)
Rear Passenger Door does not open.
Front Passenger Door opens only from inside.

Mitsubishi Evo snow frolic caught by aerial camera

Tue, 30 Apr 2013

Guido Tschugg is a professional mountain biker and a Red Bull-sponsored athlete in downhill and four-cross. He's also a fan of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and drifting in the snow, and with the help of filmmaker Mario Feil and drone videographers airv8, the rally car and the powder are combined to glorious effect.
We could continue talking about it, but that would delay you from enjoying the two minutes of frosty beauty in the video below.

Mitsubishi celebrates 40 years in UK with Evo festooned with aftermarket bits

Thu, 27 Mar 2014

Mitsubishi has an anniversary to celebrate. It has been selling cars in the UK for the last 40 years, and in recognition it is launching the Lancer Evolution X FQ-440 MR special edition with some real performance upgrades from top aftermarket companies. The models will be limited to 40 units in Frost White and priced at £50,000 each.
The special Evo uses a tweaked ECU to boost power to 440 horsepower and 412 pound-feet of torque with a six-speed, twin-clutch Sports Shift Transmission, and the engine receives a long list of augmentations with an intake, intercooler piping and tubular manifold from Janspeed, plus motorsport-specification, high-flow fuel injectors. To keep up with the acceleration, it gets six-piston front brake calipers and upgraded rear brakes behind 18-inch BBS forged alloy wheels. The suspension is lowered by 35 millimeters (1.378 inches) in the front and 30mm (1.181 inches) in the rear with Eibach coil springs.
The interior gets improvements to fit the performance upgrades. Leather-covered Recaro seats are found up front, along with an eight-speaker, Rockford Fosgate audio setup complete with a subwoofer. Navigation is standard with a seven-inch LCD touchscreen. The special edition definitely won't be making it to the US, but it's nice to see Mitsubishi commemorating itself with a performance model. Scroll down to get the full specs in the press release.

Say Hello to the Kitty edition Mitsubishi Mirage

Wed, 30 Oct 2013

Japan is the country that gave us the GT-R, the LFA and the STI. But it's also the home of Hello Kitty. We try our best to ignore the commonality, but now Mitsubishi is putting it right in our faces with the new Hello Kitty edition Mirage.
Decked out in pink, the special Mirage arrives on the occasion of the character's 40th anniversary. It comes decked out with Hello Kitty decals on the outside, special hubcaps and unique upholstery. It's even got a Hello Kitty pillow inside, for crying out loud.
Fortunately, only 400 examples will be made, hopefully only for domestic consumption, wearing a sticker price of 116,970 yen (equivalent to about $12k). Now we wish we could say this was a first, but sadly it's not - not even for Mitsubishi.
