1994 Mitsubishi 3000gt Sl Coupe 2-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Salt Lake City, Utah, United States
1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL. First off I'll state that the car does have a rebuilt title, it took a hit in the front drivers side before I owned it. I work in a body shop and It was repaired and has passed all safety inspections. I've owned the car for 3 years with no issues whatsoever. It was originally red but has been totally redone and is now a 3 stage pearl white, with Jet Black top and red stripe. It's got a custom one off front clip, stock hood with a scoop built in, "robo mod" headlights with red rings matching the red on the car, calipers also matching the red, and a carbon fiber wing. It's definitely a head turner. All the work was done a little less than 2 years ago. The interior is black with red accents to match the car. Leather seats. The drivers seat does have a tear in it and there is a crack in the dash, and the passenger side window is currently not working. Other than that the interior is really clean and looks great. If you run the vin it will say the car is an automatic, but it has been converted to a 5 speed. The car has had regular maintance performed on it with regular oil changes and has a new timing belt. It's a very good running car and fun to drive. The only issue i have had is a known issue with these cars, the "click click start." Sometimes you have to turn the the ignition key on and off a few times for it to start. This doesn't happen all the time and it has never not started. It's been a great car and you'll have a lot of fun driving it around.
I can arrange to have the car shipped to you, unless you prefer to do it yourself, but you are responsible for the cost. Thanks for looking. |

Mitsubishi Lancer, Outlander Sport named 2013 IIHS Top Safety Picks
Thu, 27 Dec 2012The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has added a pair of Mitsubishi models to its ever-growing list of 2013 Top Safety Picks, giving the prestigious safety award to the 2013 Outlander Sport and Lancer (sedan and Sportback). Both models make a return visit to the list, but with 117 cars now on the list and IIHS crash standards getting tougher just about every, this is big news for the small Japanese automaker.
Among small SUVs, the Outlander Sport is just one of nine vehicles in this segment to be named a Top Safety Pick, while the Lancer's name is surrounded by 28 other compact coupes, sedans and hatchbacks in the highly competitive small car segment. The Top Safety Pick status does not apply to the Lancer's Ralliart or Evolution variants, and neither the Outlander Sport nor the Lancer were subjected to the new small frontal offset crash test that would have resulted in the new Top Safety Pick+.

2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport models with leather seats recalled over airbag fears
Tue, 25 Feb 2014Mitsubishi is recalling 733 of its 2013 Outlander Sports that were fitted with leather seat covers due to problems with the seat-mounted airbags. Apparently, the wiring for the airbags may have been routed incorrectly when the seat covers were installed at the port.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration bulletin, the issue only really crops up if owners adjust the height of the seats. Naturally, if the seat wiring is damaged, the airbag may not deploy in the event of a side impact.
The affected vehicles were all manufactured between July 20, 2012 and May 29, 2013. There have been no reported injuries or accidents due to this issue. Mitsubishi, meanwhile, will begin notifying owners, who will need to report to their local dealer for free inspections or repairs. Take a look below for the bulletin from NHTSA.
Mitsubishi scores record global operating profits
Thu, 24 Apr 2014In the minds of many auto enthusiasts, Mitsubishi has become an afterthought. It has transformed from a company known for its turbocharged, all-wheel-drive rally machines into an automaker with a very boring lineup. Maybe we are being unfair, though. While the company doesn't have much of a performance presence anymore, the Japanese brand is doing quite well financially.
According to Reuters, Mitsubishi Motors had an operating profit of 123.4 billion yen ($1.2 billion) worldwide for the fiscal year that ended in March. That's twice as much as last year and a new all-time record for the Japanese automaker. It's even paying dividends to investors for the first time in 16 years, and its expected profit of 135 billion yen ($1.3 billion) in the new fiscal year matches a goal it had set for itself to achieve two years from now.
The automaker currently focuses much of its efforts on Southeast Asia, which accounts for about a quarter of its sales. It will put even greater attention there in the coming years with more local production, according to Reuters.
