SOLID! Great driver! According to the gurus at the '3S enthusiast club' , this should be running +/- 500hp , which is the most you can get with stock ECU and injectors running 14-16 lbs of boost.
Simply accomplished with 13g (up from 9g ) turbos. K&N air filter, free flow exhaust, hard wired upgraded Denso fuel pump and a Blitz boost controller. Handling has been improved with quality lower springs and 18 in rims designed specifically for this car. Currently running Pirelli P Zero all season which are remarkably grippy. Upgraded drilled/slotted Powerslot discs with upgraded street/track pads.
Aftermarket race seats, 3 inch 4 point belts keep you in place. Extra gauges keep you informed and avoid abusing the drive train. Larger Tach with shift lights and rev limiter, true boost gauge, and live fuel mixture display gauge.
Miles? Sounds like a lot , however, no accidents, no rust, the unibody is solid. No weaknesses. I have never raced the car (no track , autocross, hillclimbs,or dragstrip). I have other cars for that. Used primarily for visiting family requiring long trips. Easily do 1000 miles and be wanting for more. 400 mile range getting 22 mpg at 80mph average. Never hesitate to pass! The drivetrain is solid. newer dealer installed transmission, clutch, transfer case, drive shaft, and recent rebuilt heads, newer front turbo and recent rebuilt rear turbo. No oil leaks or smoke. Yeah, it's twenty years old but it is a driver and properly maintained. Always quality synthetic oil.
Cosmetics are not a priority for me. It's a 20 footer. Lots of touch up dabs and several small dents, nothing serious! Less is more as I removed the aftermarket aluminum rear dual wing that came on the car.
Most of these cars were upgraded poorly and abused. This one is for enjoying on the street. With all the branding blocked out people always wonder what kind of car it is. The bright Caracas red
leads a lot of people to think expensive exotic . I briefly badged the car like a Ferrari, not missing a detail. Most of the pics are from then. Now removed, all the bits and pieces are available.
No mistake buying this one.........

10 best new car deals in late September 2021
Wed, Sep 29 2021New car sales were drastically affected in 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but things started to show signs of recovery toward the end of the year before really coming on strong in the early months of 2021. Now there's an ongoing shortage of microchips causing a great deal of pricing fluctuation and a limited supply of certain vehicles. That doesn't mean there aren't still great deals on new cars, though. Using data provided by TrueCar, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best automotive deals for September 2021. WeÂ’ve noted the original MSRP, the average transaction price, and the total savings in both dollars and as a percentage of the original sticker price. Basically, weÂ’ve done all the hard work for you! So now, all you need to do is compare deals, go on a few test drives, and maybe drive away in a great car (and an even better bargain).
Mitsubishi i-MiEV reportedly reaches the end of the road this year
Fri, Oct 2 2020It looks like the Mitsubishi i-MiEV is completely out of juice. News outlet Nikkei reports that Mitsubishi will completely end production of its tiny electric car this year. While the i-MiEV had been discontinued in the U.S. for a few years already, it was apparently still on sale elsewhere. That didn't mean it was doing well, as Nikkei notes that global sales were only a little over 30,000 units over its lifetime. It's not hard to see why the i-MiEV struggled. While its kei-car size and funky styling made it a unique city car, it was compromised in other ways. It only made 66 horsepower and had an official range of 62 miles. While the limited range was augmented somewhat by DC fast charging capability, but it didn't take long for competitors to launch larger, more powerful, longer-range cars for not a whole lot more money. And the gulf between the i-MiEV only expanded over the years. According to Nikkei, the reason the i-MiEV went so long unchanged was a lack of funding and resources. But now that Mitsubishi is part of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, the news outlet reports that there will be a successor to the bubbly EV co-developed with Nissan to be launched in 2023. Whether this next small electric Mitsubishi appears in the U.S. seems like a toss-up. We wouldn't have expected the kei-car based i-MiEV to have been brought here originally, simply because of the cost of making such a tiny car pass safety regulations, let alone appeal to American buyers that like size. Those issues haven't changed, and if anything, American buyers are even more keen on trucks and SUVs than before. But maybe if fuel economy and emissions regulations get stiff enough, Mitsubishi might see a benefit to offering a full EV here, even if it's an odd size. Related Video:
Renault delays decision on merger with Fiat Chrysler
Wed, Jun 5 2019PARIS — Renault has delayed a decision on whether to merge with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, a deal that could reshape the global auto industry as carmakers race to make electric and autonomous vehicles for the masses. The deal still looks likely, but faced new criticism Tuesday from Renault's leading union and questions from its Japanese alliance partner Nissan. The French government is also putting conditions on the deal, including job guarantees and an operational headquarters based in France. The French carmaker's board will meet again at the end of the day Wednesday to "continue to study with interest" last week's merger proposal from FCA, Renault said in a statement. A Renault board meeting Tuesday to study the deal was inconclusive. The company didn't explain why, but a French government official said board members don't want to rush into a deal and are seeking agreement on all parts of the potential merger. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with government policy, told The Associated Press the conditions outlined by France's finance minister still "need to be met." France and Italy are both painting themselves as winners in the deal, which could save both companies 5 billion euros ($5.6 billion) a year. But workers worry a merger could lead to job losses, and analysts warn it could bog down in the challenges of managing such a hulking company across multiple countries. And a possible loser is Japan's Nissan, whose once-mighty alliance with Renault and Mitsubishi is on the rocks since star CEO Carlos Ghosn's arrest in November. Nissan CEO Hiroto Saikawa cast doubt Tuesday on whether his company will be involved in a Renault-Fiat Chrysler merger — and suggested adding Fiat Chrysler to the looser Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance instead. Saikawa said in a statement that the Renault-Fiat Chrysler deal would "significantly alter" the structure of Nissan's longtime partnership with Renault, and Nissan would analyze its contractual relationships to protect the company's interests. If Renault's board says "yes" to Fiat Chrysler, that would open the way for a non-binding memorandum of understanding to start exclusive merger negotiations. The ensuing process — including consultations with unions, the French government, antitrust authorities and other regulators — would take about a year. A merger would create the world's third-biggest automaker, worth almost $40 billion and producing some 8.7 million vehicles a year.
