I love this car.
I hate to sell it, but I lost my job and cannot afford it. I've only had it since October. Drove it from Boston to San Fran and back. Watch the video of me on the Salt Flats in Utah! http://youtu.be/TbubjtnR0rA?t=30s
all wheel drive, upgraded stereo system, cold weather package with heated seats and mirrors. Wipers come on when they sense rain. This car is awesome.

Couple quirks - Scratch on front passenger bucket seat - could be treated with leather conditioner.  Front left running light occasionally goes out, comes back on. The "engine at half power" indicator light illuminates intermittently. Took it to dealer three times, but there is no problem as they can tell.

2011 Mini
Cooper S Countryman with ALL4 all-wheel drive.
On the road since 2010.

I've been driving since 1996, never had an accident, and have driven this vehicle all over the country.
Great for road trips. Great for groceries. I was impressed with how much room there is.
I went from a Mini Cooper S manual to this S All4 Countryman Automatic. Great upgrade. And with the upgrade to the Harmon Kardon Stereo System, this thing is like driving in a personal entertainment system.

Sad to see it go, but, lost my business and am moving to the city. This is our third car, and definitely was my toy.
Good news is, now it can be your toy!

The reserve price is set below both the KBB and the Edmunds value. Excellent is $20,145. very good is 19,527.
Good deal, now you just have to try and outwit the other bidders.

Good luck!

Details:
181-hp turbocharged engine
Fuel-efficient: EPA ratings for the base Countryman are 27 mpg city, 35 highway.
An infinitely variable electro-mechanical clutch has the finesse and toughness to handle conditions varying from a steep, snowy driveway to a muddy field.
The seating position is about three inches higher than other MINI models. Lounge Leather piped leather upholstery is available.  Center Rail system: a unique system that replaces the center console with a range of  storage options--ranging from cup-holders, armrest and specialized holder for electronics.
Along with two normal-sized back doors, the Countryman has respectable backseat space in two individual seats capable of sliding 5.1 inches fore and aft as well as tilt or fold at an angle to obtain up to 41.3 cubic feet of cargo space. Up top, there's also a roof-rail system.
In what is a hallmark of the MINI brand, the Countryman promises a very nimble driving feel and plenty of agility, making it more fun to drive on a curvy road compared to other small crossovers. With MacPherson struts in front and a multi-link setup in back, the Countryman hugs the road and stays controlled while also having a reasonably settled ride. The electric-assisted power steering system varies effort based on speed, allowing a light feel while parking or a more secure feel at high speed. A Sport Mode provides an even firmer steering feel.
The Countryman has the safety-feature set of a larger, more expensive vehicle. Electronic stability control is standard, as is an electronic differential lock that helps manage traction between the front wheels. Anti-lock brakes and cornering brake control further help with driving confidence and safety.
Bluetooth interface.

2019 Mini Oxford Edition is the cheapest way to get a Mini, but only for college students, grads

Wed, Sep 5 2018

Mini makes a play for young car buyers with its latest 2019 Hardtop model, the Oxford Edition. It's more on par with a new trim level, but it's a highly compelling one as it's the cheapest version of the Mini available, and it comes with even more standard features than the regular base Mini. The catch is you have to either be in college, or recently graduated, to get it. Specifically, you have to be a full- or part-time student enrolled in a 2-year, 4-year or graduate school program at an accredited college or university. You're also eligible if you've graduated from one of those programs within 12 months of buying the car. If this describes you, you can have a turbo-charged three-cylinder two-door Mini Hardtop for $20,600, or the four-door for $21,600. That's a $2,150 discount over a normal base trim Mini called Classic. Even better, the Oxford Edition is equipped much better than the Classic, with larger 17-inch wheels, heated seats and a panoramic sunroof as standard. There are even a couple more colors to pick from adding British Racing Green and Starlight Blue to the Classic's selection of red, white, black and silver. An automatic transmission is also standard, which is usually a $1,250 option on the Classic, but a manual transmission is still available. Mini says that all the features amount to a $6,900 value, though it's difficult to gauge that since features such as the sunroof aren't available on the Classic, but it's a standard feature on the roughly $26,000 Mini Signature. All-in-all, the Mini Oxford Edition is a great deal for a young buyer with a desire for a Mini. And that's easy to understand, since we've enjoyed the ones we've driven. Related Video:

Mini boss contradicts reports on production Superleggera, says Minor unlikely

Wed, Mar 18 2015

Mini has added to our green-beer-induced hangover with some disappointing news. The Mini Superleggera Vision Concept is not quite as confirmed as we had been led to believe. And making matters worse, the same high-ranking source that put the kibosh on confirmation of the stylish two-seater said he "doesn't see" a mini Mini. Mini boss Peter Schwarzenbauer contradicted yesterday's report in an interview with Automotive News, although he certainly doesn't oppose the idea of the Superleggera Vision. "I cannot confirm that it has been approved yet," Schwarzenbauer told AN, adding that it'd be a "great addition to the Mini range" and that he's "still pushing" for it to arrive in dealerships. That's good news for fans of yesterday's report. Schwarzenbauer is less of a fan of a small, entry-level mini Mini, based on the Rocketman Concept. "I don't see a smaller car than the current one," the exec said. It's long been rumored that Mini was readying a smaller, budget model that was more in line with the original Austin and Morris Minis, rather than the premium sub-compact model that BMW has been selling for the past 13 years. The company has even, allegedly, been in cahoots with Toyota to develop the new compact model. We reported as recently as January that the Anglo-Teutonic outfit and its Japanese partners would develop an entirely new platform for the Minor, although that certainly doesn't seem to be the case now. How do you feel about this? Does Mini need to get back to its roots with the affordable, Rocketman-based Minor, or should it keep on doing what it's doing? What about the Superleggera Vision Concept? Should Mini add it as a successor to the short-lived Roadster? Have your say in Comments. Related Video:

Mini reveals new John Cooper Works concept ahead of Detroit

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

BMW effectively hit the reset button when it unveiled the new Mini at the LA Auto Show last month, opening the door to a whole raft of new variants to follow - and this is the first.
Set to be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show next month is the new Mini John Cooper Works Concept, a show car that previews the next hot hatch from the Anglo-Saxon automaker. Mini isn't saying much about what makes it tick, focusing instead of the design that sets it apart from the standard version we've already seen.
This JCW concept features a lustrous grey paintjob with bright red accents, 18-inch alloys and an upgraded aero kit, all aimed at making the Mini look that much sportier. It's got bigger air intakes where the fog lights would be, LED headlamps, a black grille frame, side skirts, a rear bumper with diffuser insert and a roof-mounted spoiler.
