Up for sale is this super clean 2006 Mini Cooper with the Panoramic roof. This vehicle has only 64,000 miles and it looks and drives amazingly! This is also a ONE OWNER vehicle with no accident history in the autocheck report. Unfortunately, this vehicle was involved in a fresh water flood and is being sold with a salvage certificate from New York. We are not sure why this vehicle was branded a flood because we can see no sign of any water damage at all and the vehicle is in running order with all the electronics working perfectly (see my video). Every switch and button in this car is working the way it should. There is absolutely no reason this vehicle should have been branded a salvage title.
This Mini is super clean and has a Flame Red exterior with white stripes and a grey interior. The seats are in like new condition as well as the rest of the interior.  This C230 Coupe just turned 64k miles (which is extremely low for this year) and it runs and drives fantastically. Every feature in the car is working the way it should including the A/C. The air conditioning in this car is ICE cold and the heat blows very hot. This vehicle is ready for its new owner and needs nothing mechanically done to it. This is a nice example of an all original, low mileage, super clean Mini Cooper. And they are hard to find like this, especially with all these options!
This Cooper has a 4 cylinder BMW-built engine that really takes off when you need it but it also gets almost 40 miles per gallon on the highway. This is a very nice, economical, reliable way to drive. The 6-speed manual transmission only adds to the fun factor and the gas mileage of this vehicle.
This Mini is loaded up with every possible option. It has a panoramic power glass roof with dual shades, leather interior with sport seats, dual HEATED seats, xenon headlamps, factory installed racing stripes, CD played in-dash, fog lamps, on-board computer system, steering wheel controls, remote keyless entry, alarm, cruise control, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, alloy sport style wheels, four air bags, ABS, tire pressure monitoring system, 5-speed manual transmission, and too much more to list. This Cooper has it all.
This Mini comes with three original Mini key fobs. We also have the original floor mats, and the unused spare tire and jack. The tool kit is complete as well. Its all there like it was when it was purchased new.
This vehicle was very well cared for and it shows. The maintenance all appears to be current and the vehicle is reliable and runs like a dream. The car has all matching Kumho tires all around and there is a ton of tread left on them. We have driven it 200 miles and it seems to be running and driving nicely. We changed all the motor and transmission fluids and the vehicle has good brakes, good rotors, and good windshield wiper blades.
The exterior of the vehicle is super clean. The paint is nice and glossy and all the body lines are perfect and straight. The body is in above average condition and there is no blemishes to point out on this vehicle at all. The car shows extremely well, especially for its age. This car also seems to be all original with no paint or bodywork. The paint shines like glass. The carfax report shows no accident history. It is hard to find these cars in great shape like this, this is a real find.
The interior of the vehicle is also super clean. The seats have no cracks or rips and the fabric is very firm and supple. The dash and door panels are also very nice and clean.  All the interior trimmings and other interior trims are in perfect condition. The interior is perfect condition in my opinion.
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. This vehicle is being sold with a salvage title. It is the buyers responsibility to know the laws and requirements for registering a salvage vehicle in their state. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. With that being said, feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns. My name is Joe and my number is 347-283-9008. Thanks and good luck bidding!

Mini would still like to make a standalone sports car

Mon, Feb 3 2020

The head-turning Superleggera Vision concept Mini unveiled in 2014 will remain a one-off model, but the BMW-owned company affirmed it still has its sights set on a standalone, range-topping sports car. It's understandably not a priority, and there's a chance it won't arrive with a turbo four if it receives the green light for production. Mini's current flagship is the limited-edition John Cooper Works GP, a 301-horsepower hot hatch that sounds as angry as it looks. It's based on the Hardtop, but there's space in the Mini range for an even more hardcore sports car that's not built on an existing architecture. Andreas Lampka, the head of the company's communications department, shared what's on his team's wish list while talking to Australian website Motoring. "If we give our engineers some more spare [time and resources], they'll come up with a mid-engined car," he explained. If launched, it would stand out as the first series-produced mid-engined model in the Mini's 61-year history; every single Mini-badged car built has been front-wheel drive, and we doubt engineers are giving the mid-engined layout a lustful look just to channel the power back to the front wheels. It'd likely be rear-wheel drive. Lampka suggested a range-topping sports car could arrive with an electric powertrain, like the Superleggera Vision (pictured), rather than with an evolution of a gasoline-powered engine currently found in the company's arsenal. While a head-spinning, instant torque-fueled zero-to-60-mph time is difficult to argue against, the executive didn't explain how engineers will offset the weight added by the battery pack. It's too early to provide concrete details. Though this is pure speculation, it could share parts with future electrified JCW models. Similarly, there's no word on when we might see Mini's halo model. The company has more pressing issues to solve; global sales fell by 4.1% in 2019, and executives recently confirmed they've delayed the next-generation Hardtop. If the model does arrive, we don't expect to see it until about halfway through the 2020s at the earliest. Mini Cooper SE Convertible revealed for electric top-down motoring

Wed, Feb 15 2023

The electric Mini Cooper SE Convertible is officially a production car! Sadly, that production is exclusively slated for Europe right now, but if we all yell loudly enough, maybe we can get Mini to send some across the ocean. In reality, the chances of the SE Convertible coming here are nearly zero, if not zero. Mini is only making 999 of them as a small series experiment of sorts. Its powertrain and battery pack is the same as the hardtop SE. That means it’s sporting a single front motor with 184 horsepower. The 0-62 mph time for the Convertible is 8.2 seconds, and the electrically operated soft top (with a Union Jack) can be deployed at speeds up to 18 mph. Range is just 125 miles on the optimistic WLTP cycle, which is considerably less than the hardtopÂ’s max of 145 miles. Here in the U.S., the Mini SE is only rated for 114 miles on the EPA testing cycle. If Mini ever brought it here, weÂ’d expect the Convertible to suffer a similarly proportioned range penalty. Mini applies a number of unique exterior appointments to the SE Convertible. For starters, itÂ’s only going to be available in either Enigmatic Black or White Silver. The door handles, side scuttles and light/grille surrounds are then finished in bronze. All of the logos and model lettering gets painted in a glossy black. Plus, the “E” logo is displayed across the front grille with a bronze finish. YouÂ’ll notice “1 of 999” lettering on the side scuttles, and if you open the door to look at the sills, the same “1 of 999” emblem is present again. The steering wheel gets an “E” badge, and the interior is only available in a single spec. Black leather and heated seats come standard, and the glossy black trim does, too. Yellow accents, the same as you get in the Hardtop, all emphasize the electric nature of the car. Production will take place in the Netherlands, and cars will begin shipping in April this year. Longer, wider, still a Mini | 2017 Mini Countryman First Drive

Fri, Mar 17 2017

Think of the 2017 Mini Countryman as the brand's "ah, to hell with it" moment. At a whopping 8.1 inches longer and 5.4 inches wider than the vehicle it replaces, it is quite obviously the least-mini Mini ever. Yet, that size increase makes it more useful, comfortable riding, and better proportioned. If a compact crossover SUV is what's to be, then this is the size it should be. However, it's still quite mini for a compact SUV, coming in at 3 inches shorter than the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class and 4 inches shorter than an Audi Q3. Neither of those are what anyone would describe as "large." And yet, the Countryman boasts a considerably more spacious and usable interior than either of them. Sit in the new Countryman's back seat and you'll be amazed at the space, with plenty of leg- and headroom for even tall people despite a standard panoramic sunroof. Crossovers of similar exterior dimensions, luxury or otherwise, just don't come close to providing as much passenger space. The cargo area isn't quite as impressive on paper, but its boxy shape and the sliding second-row seat make it far more versatile in practice. So, despite being the least-mini Mini ever, the new Countryman is still in keeping with the brand's ethos from the very beginning when Alec Issigonis created a car that was microscopic on the outside but disproportionately spacious inside. There's far more to this redesign than just dimensional changes – the 2017 Countryman grows up figuratively as well. The original model always felt like a Mini Cooper hardtop that ballooned in size and door count. Compared to SUVs of similar price, and more damningly of lesser price, it was crashy, loud, a bit cheap inside, and relatively uncouth. The base model was also embarrassingly slow. The new version feels more like a proper compact luxury SUV flavored with a robust Salt Bae of Mini spice. Actually, that's pretty much what it is. The Countryman now shares its front-wheel-drive platform with the new BMW X1, which itself benefits from various trickle-down elements from elsewhere in the BMW Group. For instance, processes developed for the 7 Series are in part responsible for the new, stiffer structure that contributes greatly to the 2017 Countryman's other great advancement: the exponentially better ride. The old one harshly crashed over bumps in a way that only Fred Flintstone wouldn't find tiresome.
