I'm pleased to offer this Lightning Blue 2008 Mini Cooper for sale, on behalf of a close friend of mine who is the original owner. This Mini has always been dealer serviced since new, and all records of maintenance and repairs are included, as well as the two factory keys and the original window sticker. This car has always been garage-kept and driven in temperate west-coast weather. It has only seen snow once or twice, early in its life when the owner still lived in the Seattle area. Full disclosure: I've been in, out and around this vehicle and have mentioned any (minor) flaws below in my condition description. I believe in transparency when it comes to representing a vehicle.
The exterior and interior of this vehicle are in excellent shape. I feel the pictures don't do the car justice. It shines quite nicely in the sun and there are no signs of fading or mismatched paint. All body panels align correctly and are in good nick, straight and clean. There is one door ding on the passenger side, and two dings from road debris on the bonnet. I really can't think of any other flaws. Aside from that, the car shows quite well. The interior is neat and clean as the day it rolled off the showroom floor. This car has never been smoked in and does not have any stains or odor present. The headliner, seats, dash and carpet all look fantastic. The only flaw inside is a 1.5 inch small separation on the seat bottom, which can only be noticed if you're really searching for it. This car runs, drives, steers and stops as it should. There are no warning lights or items that need repair on this car. Push the start button and go. This Mini handles fantastic and tracks straight. I've put about 150 highway miles on the car while storing it. (I like to know the car I'm selling - also its a great excuse to drive this fun car!) This vehicle is well optioned, and includes items such as: Convenience Package -Multi-function leather steering wheel -Universal Garage Opener -Comfort Access System -Auto dimming mirror -Center Armrest -Rain Sensor & Automatic Lights -Bluetooth & USB/iPod Cold Weather Package -Power Folding Mirrors -Heated Mirrors & Washer Jets -Heated Front Seats Navigation System Premium Headliner Chrome Line Exterior Package Anti-theft System Automatic Air Conditioning Fog Lamps Included with the car is a compilation of dealer service receipts, the original window sticker, and two factory smart key/fobs. Other info: The vehicle did have an oil service recently, along with a full detail. It could use a set of tires in the next few months. This vehicle has had an accident in 2011, but was professionally repaired correctly. Receipts of bodywork from the Mini & Insurance-recommended shop are included with the car. The car carries a clean title and there is no evidence of that damage or the repair, but I do like to be up front and honest. As with any used car, there are minor signs of road use. However, this car is in excellent overall shape inside and out. You must see it to truly appreciate it. This car does not carry any factory warranty, and is sold "AS-IS". Please, serious buyers only, as I do not have the time to re-list. Book values dictate this car to be worth $12,361 in "Excellent" condition, $11900 for "Good". 2014 Mini John Cooper Works GP
Fri, 16 Nov 2012About three weeks prior to this brief yet balls-to-the-wall drive on the Spanish island of Mallorca, I saw that Mini USA announced pricing for the keenly anticipated Mini John Copper Works GP. And that number would be - *a-hem* - $39,950 for starters.
I am always intent upon finding the pinnacle of what a certain car promises me, and almost at any cost. Almost. When I think "steaming hatchback," I think of something exactly like this Mini GP, and the steep price doesn't squelch my pleasure. They're only building 2,000 of them anyway, and the units coming to the US will start arriving in owners' hands on March 16 of next year. These buyers will be extremely happy and remorse-free.

2020 Mini Convertible Sidewalk Edition hits the pavement again
Wed, Jan 8 2020In 2007, the Mini Convertible Sidewalk dropped its top in bitter winter during the Detroit Auto Show to show off its exclusive appearance package. The cosmetic suite makes a return for 2020, again as the Mini Convertible Sidewalk, with more color and design choices courtesy of Mini Yours. The primo choice comes in Deep Laguna metallic, a hue unavailable on other models, set off by patterned hood strips with contrasting edges. Buyers can spec five metallic colors from the traditional palette, too: White Silver, Moonwalk Grey, Thunder Grey, Enigmatic Black, and Midnight Black. For markets that make such perks optional, the Sidewalk Chili equipment package installs LED headlights and fog lights, automatic air conditioning, the interior lighting package, a height-adjustable front passenger seat, the storage package, and driving modes. Sidewalk logos on the side indicator bezels ease identification from afar, so too the 17 inch Scissor Spoke two-tone wheels. Upon closer inspection, the arrow graphics woven into the fabric soft top are another giveaway, as are the brushed aluminum sill plates bearing the word "Sidewalk." The interior's been wrapped in MINI Yours anthracite leather upholstery, stitched with Petrol and Energetic Yellow thread. Braided Petrol piping outlines the seat forms, dark Petrol contours the floor mats, while doors get Petrol and silver accents. A Sidewalk logo sits at the base of the leather-wrapped sports steering wheel. Three engine lineup comes in three gasoline flavors, a 1.5-liter three-cylinder with 102-horsepower in the Mini One, the same engine with 134 hp in the Mini Cooper, and a 192-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder for the Mini Cooper S. Mini says the standard transmission will be a six-speed manual; the row-your-own took a break for a spell but is due back in the U.S. next month. The seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch is optional on the Mini Cooper and Cooper S, the DCT with paddle shifters an option on the Cooper S only. We aren't privy to price yet – that comes closer to launch in March. The Mini Convertible Sidewalk will be sold worldwide, but numbers might be limited; the UK, for instance, only gets 150 examples.

In the past 13 years, that's happened every time Mini unveils a new model. And that's been quite often in the 12 years since the car was reintroduced - it has expanded to include seven different models, which is a testament to how quickly the updated Mini caught on. My Dad, who passed away in 1996, loved the brand. His first car was a Mini, and he'd race it in illegal rallies around the Irish countryside in his 20s, before he emigrated to the US and tried to (mostly) stay on the right side of the law.
Mini released photos and specs for the third-generation "original" hardtop car today. The company had to slap in the term "original" in there to differentiate it from the Convertible, longer-wheelbase Clubman, Countryman crossover, Paceman three-door crossover, Coupe and Roadster. Coming out with that many nameplates in 13 years is unprecedented growth for a company that's essentially brand-new in the US.
