2007 Mini Cooper S - Maintenance Records Since New & Fully Loaded! on 2040-cars
Morris, Connecticut, United States
Introduction: Up for sale is my 2007 Mini Cooper S with 113,000 miles. It has a clean CT title (in hand) and has never been in an accident. I purchased the car in February of 2013 from the original owner who had service records dating back to when the car was brand new. I also have all service records from when I took over ownership at 92,000 miles. The previous owner had purchased the extended maintenance program which covered all regular maintenance on the car up to 100,000 miles. Every service was done in accordance with the maintenance schedule. The car runs strong, has amazing handling and I average 32.4 miles per gallon on mostly back roads. I’m selling it because I purchased a Jeep Wrangler. This is the second Mini Cooper S I have owned, the one prior to this was a 2005 which was also a lot of fun. The exterior is in great shape and the interior looks brand new. It comes with the two original keys and also has the hill start assist feature which makes this very easy to drive for a manual transmission. Below are the standard and additional options according to the original window sticker. Standard Features: * turbo charged, direct injected 1.6l, 16 valve inline 4 cal engine (172hp) * 6 speed manual Getrag transmission * MacPherson strut front suspension w/ multi link rear suspension * Electric, engine-speed-sensitive, power steering * 4 wheel anti lock disc brakes * all season traction control * 6 airbags, including side curtain * 6 way adjustable sport seats w/ driver and passenger height adjustment * anti lock braking system * corner break control * electronic brakeforce distribution * personally adjustable locking and lighting * sport button with increased throttle and steering response (this totally changes how the car drives and doesn’t effect fuel economy) * air conditioning with micro filter and air re-circulation * remote keyless entry * CD audio system with am/fm radio, 6 speakers, presets, aux input * power windows with “one touch” down operation * check control vehicle monitor system with pictogram display * split fold down rear seats * telescoping and height adjustable steering wheel * adjustable ambient lighting (color changing LED lights) * on-board computer * all weather floor mats Additional Options: * chili red paint * grey/carbon black leatherette * cold weather package * heated mirrors and washer jets * heated front seats * premium package * multi-function steering wheel * cruise control * sports leather steering wheel * moonroof (panoramic) * automatic air conditioning * sport package * 17” alloy wheels, crown spoke * dynamic stability control * Xenon headlights * Limited Slip Differential * tire pressure monitor * interior surface piano black * front fog lamps Maintenance Records: The maintenance records are listed below starting with most recent. The car occasionally has the classic Mini Cooper S timing chain rattle during cold starts until the motor idles for a minute and oil circulates. It has been this way since I purchased the car over 20,000 miles ago and has never given me any problems. From what I can find there is no point in replacing it because people report having the cold start rattle come back soon after. 3. The tires should be replaced before this coming winter. I have not replaced them because the new owner may have a unique tire preference based on the type of driving they do and where they live. I assume the final sale price will reflect this. 4. There is one small acorn dent on the hood and minor rock chips from winter driving Summary: This is a great car and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it across country tomorrow. Anyone is welcome to come inspect and test drive it before bidding. Please don’t hesitate to ask me any additional questions that you may have. The Kelly Blue Book value ranges from $8,995 for “excellent" to $7,632 for “fair”. Payment must be made via cash or certified bank check. A $300 PayPal deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction ending. It is also for sale locally so the auction may be cancelled if it sells. I can be reached via email or by calling 860-790-0892. If you are the winning bidder please call me within 24 hours of the auction ending. All the best, Rob |

Mini Clubman finally released with All4 all-wheel drive
Wed, Jan 20 2016Update: Mini has just revealed US pricing. The Mini Cooper Clubman All4 will start at $26,750, and the Cooper S Clubman All4 will start at $30,300. Both prices include destination. By now, you're surely familiar with the joke about how cars from Mini are no longer... well, mini. We won't repeat it here (oops, too late), except to say that the first vehicle that really pushed Mini's historic boundaries was the original Clubman in 2008. That machine featured a stretched wheelbase, an extra door on one side and an unconventional barn-door-style rear opening. For 2016, the Clubman recipe was revised with an even longer wheelbase and more conventional side doors, though still with the split rear hatch. Now, finally, the Mini Clubman is available with all-wheel drive. As you would expect from Mini, the new Clubman carries All4 branding. A propellor shaft sprouts from the front differential, and a new rear diff is added with an electrohydraulic clutch to send power to the rear wheels when needed. Mini promises that its All4 system will not only be a boon in inclement weather, but will also aid high-speed handling. We look forward to putting those claims to the test. Drivetrain options are borrowed from the standard front-wheel-drive Clubman range. A 134-horsepower three-cylinder comes in base Clubman models, and a 2.0-liter mill with 189-hp powers upgraded Clubman S models. An eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters and launch control is optional, though shift-yourself purists will surely opt for the standard six-speed manual. Mini says the Clubman S All4 can record a 0-60 time of 6.6 seconds with the automatic, or 6.7 with the manual. That's a couple tenths quicker than the front-drive Clubman S. Cargo space remains at 17.5 cubic feet with all seats in place, or as much as 47.9 with the back seats folded, so the rear differential and propellor shaft don't impinge on passenger space. Fuel mileage figures haven't yet been released, but we'd expect a small drop from the standard Clubman's 25 city and 35 highway ratings. We'd also count on a price increase of a few thousand dollars to get all-wheel drive. Feel free to peruse the press release below for more information. SUPREME DRIVING FUN IN EVERY SITUATION: THE NEW MINI CLUBMAN ALL4 Woodcliff Lake, NJ – January 19, 2016 – The market launch of the new MINI Clubman sees the latest model generation of the British brand embark on its advance into the premium compact segment.
2020 Mini Cooper SE electric hatchback pricing, availability announced
Mon, Oct 28 2019The 2020 Mini Cooper SE electric hatchback now has a price and an on-sale date for America. The retail price including destination charge is $30,750 before any tax credits are applied. Seeing as other BMW electric cars still qualify for the full $7,500 federal tax credit, the Cooper SE should be available across the country for $23,250, and Mini says buyers in some states with additional incentives should be able to get one for under $20,000. It will be available in March 2020, and Mini said it will be offered across the country, implying that it may not be restricted to specific states like some other EV offerings. For comparison, a similarly potent gas-powered Mini Cooper S starts at $29,100, and a regular Mini Hardtop starts at $25,100. The Mini Cooper SE doesn't have a range estimate for the United States yet, but European estimates put it at 146 to 168 miles. We expect Mini's latest EV to have a shorter EPA-estimated range than the 150-mile, 40-kWh Nissan Leaf, which starts at $30,885 before incentives, and $23,385 after the $7,500 federal tax credit. The Leaf has more rear seat and cargo space plus more torque at 236 pound-feet, but the Mini has more power than the 147-horse Leaf. Whatever price you pay for your Mini Cooper SE, you'll get an electric motor that sends 181 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. Mini says that will propel the car to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds on its way to a 93-mph top speed. The car's 32.6-kWh battery can fully charge in 4 hours on a Level 2 AC charger, and it can reach 80% charge in 35 minutes with a DC fast charger. Outside, the electric Mini has a unique blocked-off grille and standard 16-inch wheels. Inside, the SE gets a standard 6.5-inch infotainment screen with navigation and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, a leather steering wheel, leatherette upholstery, cruise control, heated front seats, automatic climate control, automatic windshield wipers and automatic emergency braking.
Next Mini Clubman disguises all six doors
Wed, Jan 28 2015After revealing the new Mini hardtop in various guises, the next new model in the pipeline from the retro British marque is the Clubman. And here it is. Though still wearing some swirly camouflage, this Clubman prototype - previewed by the concept showcased last year - is clearly nearing production readiness. Since it'll have to differentiate itself from the four/five-door version of the new hardtop, the Clubman is expected to be even longer than the model it replaces. And this time, it'll have rear doors on both sides; and from these spy shots, it looks like they'll be conventional, full-size, front-hinged portals, instead of suicide doors. Around back you can also see the taillights peeking through the camo, on split rear portals instead of the one-piece, top-hinged tailgate on the standard-wheelbase model. At this stage, we wouldn't be surprised to see the new Clubman appear for the first time at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. Whenever it does bow, it'll serve as the second pillar of the brand's reconfigured product lineup, following the new hardtop and preceding the upcoming next-gen Countryman crossover, Superleggera roadster and Minor city car.
