You are bidding on a 2003 Mini Cooper S with 96853 miles, Sliding Glass Roof, Leather, 6 speed manual, Heated Seats, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, basically fully load with the exception of Navigation and LSD. There are a few minor door dings and scratches around the car, normal wear and tear. The power locks are not currently working. The car has an upgraded Lightened Flywheel, stage 2 performance clutch, Dinan Exhuast, MSD Coil, Megan Racing Coilovers, Megan Racing adjustable rear links, and Megan Racing tophat front supports. No other modifications were done. The tires are in good condition and i would say have more than 50% left. The only real problem with this car is that the motor failed, cylinder 1 has a whole in it, so it will need a short block. I bought this car from a mini mechanic that had purchased it from a customer that had blown the clutch and cracked the housing on the transmission. Probably should have run, but I thought it would make a great weekend track car. After getting it set up for the track the first run out on the second lap the motor failed. Many great like new parts, put a short block in it and you are good. I have secured a block for $650, I will just need to pick it up. If the car sells for over $6000 I will included the short block. $1000 Non-refundable deposit due within 24hours of auction end. Offers welcome.

Mini 're-evaluating' relationship with Abby Wambach following DUI arrest
Mon, Apr 4 2016Mini USA is "re-evaluating" its relationship with former US Women's National Soccer Team star Abby Wambach after the 35-year-old was arrested for driving under the influence on Sunday morning. Wambach was just one of the athletes that joined Mini's recently launched "Defy Labels" campaign. She was driving a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover – not a Mini – at the time of the arrest. "We're obviously concerned about the alleged DUI attributed to Abby Wambach. This behavior is against the values we promote as an organization and the safety of everyone on the road is a priority here at Mini," the company said in an official statement obtained by Automotive News. "Because of this, we are re-evaluating her association with the brand and are pulling content that individually features Abby from our marketing. We will continue to assess the situation and weigh our options." Wambach was arrested in Portland, OR after running a red light in her Range Rover. Her blood alcohol content was not released by the Portland Police Bureau, although she was described as "polite and courteous" throughout the affair, according to a statement. You can see the Super Bowl ad featuring Wambach below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
Mini five-door spotted alongside next Clubman
Wed, 14 May 2014Is Mini constricting its staggering array of model variants or expanding it? That depends largely on which way you look at it. Because while some models may not make the cut as the second-generation family is gradually replaced with the third, others appear to be joining the fold. They just might not bear different model names.
Take, for example, the vehicle pictured here. It's a five-door version of the latest Mini hatchback, but won't necessarily replace the Clubman wagon - particularly since that's precisely what appears to be pictured alongside it. While the five-door hatch appears to simply add an extra set of portals - full-size ones, from the look of it, not backwards-opening half-doors - to the existing three-door version, the new Clubman appears not only longer but also wider, giving it that much more interior space.
Of course that could all be an optical illusion generated by swirly camouflage designed to do just that, but from the apparent readiness of both models, we'll find out one way or another soon enough - whatever they're called.
2014 Mini Cooper interior spied uncovered in China
Wed, 14 Aug 2013As we approach the November 18 debut of the new Mini Hardtop, the trickle of news is starting to increase. We've already shown you the exterior of the new hatchback, and now we can show you the interior. These images, captured by Car News China, show a cabin that maintains a few key Mini styling items, but is a fairly progressive evolution of the current R56 model.
Mini's most iconic interior treatment, its center-mounted speedometer, is now gone. The new speedo sits atop the steering column, flanked by a (too tiny, in our opinion) tachometer. In the speedometer's former position are the radio controls. Our friends in China put it best when they say, "The large dial is much uglier than before." There's a mass of buttons and unfriendly black plastic that, at first glance, look far cheaper than the rest of the cabin. Of course, we'll wait to see how this is all ironed out for the production-spec car.
The other parts of the interior, however, look quite good. There's a small bank of toggle buttons at the bottom of the center stack, and the checkerboard dash insert looks clean as well. The seats sport extensions for the bottom cushions, meaning there'll be the option of more support for drivers with longer legs. GTI fans might also notice the plaid bolsters on the seats. Mini's treatment is a bit more subtle than what you'd see on a Volkswagen, though.
