Hello, I am selling my 2003 Mini Cooper S. I have enjoyed this car thoroughly for a few years, however in a recent snow storm the Mini was in a minor frontal accident. As you can see from the photos, it will at minimum require a new hood, headlamp, and radiator. The car runs and drives in its current condition, however the radiator has a puncture so the car should not be driven very far until this is fixed. The car drives straight and suspension/steering feel the same as they have always been.
The car has stock 1.6L engine with supercharger, 6-speed manual transmission, leather interior, sunroof and rear moon roof. The headlamps are original equipment HID. It currently has 134,473 miles on it.
The car has a rebuilt super charger and new water pump installed aroung 95,000 miles. Around the same time, the starter, alternator, and front anti-roll bar links were also replaced. It does not appear it will take too much to make put this car back on the road, however unfortunately I do not have time for these tasks right now.
The car is currently sitting on 16" alloy wheels. The car comes with a set of 17" wheels (1 damaged) and an OEM roof-rack & ski mounts.
$500 will be due at the close of auction, then the rest of the payment can be made when the car is picked up. Given the current condition of the vehicle, it will be sold as-is, with no guarantees.
Thanks and happy bidding.

Xcar takes the Mini Challenge, and it sounds awesome
Wed, Jan 28 2015The third-generation Mini is well and truly on sale in markets across the world. The new four-door model should be arriving soon, if it isn't already on sale in your neck of the woods, and the latest John Cooper Works model made its official debut just a few weeks ago at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. We aren't going to be talking about any of those right now, though. That's because our chums at Xcar took it upon themselves to sample the third-generation Mini Challenge racecar, a 275-horsepower, hardcore, fully committed competition version of the otherwise adorable Mini Cooper S. At roughly 30,000 British pounds (about $45,200 at today's rates) there's a lot to like about the Challenge car. Aside from a gutted cabin and aggressive aerodynamic kit, the racer has been fitted with slick tires, a Quaife sequential gearbox, adjustable dampers, Alcon brakes and a consequently lower curb weight – under 2,600 pounds with an average-sized driver. It's fair to say the Challenge driving experience figures to be unlike your typical road-going Mini. And considering that, we think the folks that built the car, Total Track, have fulfilled their promise of delivering a "touring car experience at a fraction of the cost." Have a look at the Xcar video and let us know what you think. Be sure to crank up your speakers, because the Challenge sounds excellent.
Mini Art Beat is a loud, driving social media billboard
Sat, 10 Aug 2013
Video billboards are nothing new, but a video on a moving car that's blaring music? Now that's something that will catch your attention - especially if you're driving alongside it in the streets of London.
That's the exact intent of Mini's new Art Beat, a Cooper Countryman turned marketing device that is custom-fitted with a staggering 48,000 LEDs. On its nightly drives through the city, the compact crossover showcases brightly colored videos, graphics and animations contributed by people around the world via social media. The Mini Space Blog describes the Art Beat as the "most vibrant and customizable NOT NORMAL ride you'll ever lay eyes on."
Why BMW doesn't plan to integrate Apple's iOS in the Car
Wed, 12 Jun 2013While watching Apple introduce iOS in the Car during its WWDC keynote on Monday, we wondered how automakers, even the 14 who've already signed up to integrate this new in-car functionality of iOS 7, will feel about having the Cupertino company's mobile operating system supplant their own in-car systems. After all, some OEMs like Ford, General Motors and many luxury automakers have sunk millions of dollars into developing their own advanced infotainment, navigation and communication platforms like MyFord Touch, CUE and older systems like iDrive.
One automaker has now spoken up. A BMW spokeperson was interviewed by someone in the news department of British auto dealer group Arnold Clark and confirmed that the company would not be getting in line to integrate iOS in the Car anytime soon. The reason, as we suspected, is that BMW believes its own products developed over the last decade are both plenty good and already so deeply integrated with other systems of the car that, as told to Arnold Clark, "it would not be that straightforward to start changing all of the architecture of a car as has been implied [by Apple]."
While BMW isn't interested in spending more money to integrate Apple's services and functionality over its own, it has spent a good bit already to integrate iPhone functionality in its cars, including the relatively rare ability to support iPod Out and display Apple's own interface on Mini models with the optional Mini Connected feature, as well as committing to integrate Siri 'Eyes Free' functionality.
