This vehicle is a true one of a kind and it has been treated as such by me, its meticulous owner. I bought the vehicle with only 3,000 miles on it from a Ford dealership in FL who had received it on trade-in for a less expensive vehicle when its original owner was struggling to keep up with the payments. This car has been great and has never had a single issue. It averages 32 miles per gallon for my blend of in-town and highway driving. The vehicle interior and exterior are in perfect condition with only the following cosmetic blemishes accumulated over its 44,500 miles: (1) minor door ding drivers side less than the size of a dime, (1) very small door ding passenger side which can only be seen if you know where to look and at a specific angle, (1) minor rock chip in the windshield professionally repaired by Safelite, (1) tiny scuff on one rim (less than an inch long & 1/8" wide)... and that's it... The vehicle has never had any fender benders or been in an accident and has never been to a body shop for any work at all.

I really love this vehicle and am sad that I have to sell it. I am doing so in order to accommodate my growing family, who no longer will all fit in either of our efficiently sized vehicles for our annual cross-country road trip to see family. The Mini you are looking at has been great as it offers great versatility with its barn door rear, extremely large cargo area (for a 33 mpg efficiency vehicle), and hidden trailer hitch. I've used the hidden hitch to tow a little six foot trailer when necessary to pick up odd-ball things for the home like mulch, furniture, wood, plants, etc. The versatility of my Mini has basically kept me from having to buy a SUV or a truck for the last several years while still allowing me to drive a greatly efficient, FUN vehicle... I would do anything to keep the Mini but I can't exactly ask my wife, our newborn baby, or our two large dogs to ride the trailer on our next road trip.. So my loss is your gain and an outstanding vehicle is hereby offered at an outstanding price.

Help Mini decide on its next limited-edition Cooper

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

Mini likes to make a big hullabaloo about the number of ways its cars can be configured, which currently stands at 10 million. While that figure is impressive, the BMW-owned brand is always looking for new and unique design variations, a trend that has seen a number of special-edition Minis pop up over the years boasting unique color and trim items.
For the new, third-generation F56 Mini, the British brand is at it again. Only this time, the cars are designed and chosen by Mini's fans in a new contest. Called "The New Originals," Mini teamed its 10 Final Test Test Drive winners with an illustrator to design their perfect Mini, one of which will become the next special-edition model.
The ten cars are currently being voted on by the brand's fans on the Mini USA website, with the winner set to be announced at the 2014 New York Auto Show in April. A total of 56 examples of the winning entry will then be put on sale, making this one of the most limited of Mini's many limited editions. Voting closes on February 19, so hop over to the page and vote for your favorite.

On Location in California with BMW and Mini

Thu, Feb 25 2016

A mid-winter escape from frigid Michigan to drive a trio of new BMW and Mini products? It'd be a busy couple of days, but you can't argue with Southern California in February. The temperatures in LA, where we drove the Mini Cooper S Convertible, hovered in the mid-80s, and it was solidly in the 70s further north, at Monterey, where we drove the M2 and X4 M40i. The highlight of the trip was Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, which is a rewarding track to drive in a street car. The M2 was a blast there. The canyon roads above Malibu in the Mini were a close second, but even the lazy drive down the PCH to Big Sur was a blast. More important is the California state of mind we were in when driving all three of these cars. I've spent a lot of time in this state, and it has a complicated relationship with the car – and there's also a huge difference in attitude between the greater Bay Area and Southern California. Ample sun and twisty roads clash with image-consciousness, eco-consciousness, and brutal urban gridlock, and each BMW dealt with that paradox admirably, in its own way. Take a quick jaunt to California with me and check out the locations and experiences that helped form our impressions of these vehicles: the 2016 BMW M2 First Drive, the 2016 Mini Cooper S Convertible First Drive, and the 2016 BMW X4 M40i Quick Spin.

Mini might not replace Paceman, Coupe, Roadster

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

Nobody could argue at this point that Mini (like its parent company BMW) has not mastered the art (if you could call it that) of filling every niche with its own model. But with the third generation of Mini now upon us, some of the company's strategists are asking themselves what the point is of it all.
The outgoing second-generation Mini spawned too many variants to count. So far the new model has only surfaced in hatchback form, but the brand may roll out quite as many variants this time around. Instead it is looking at its lineup in terms of pillars.
The quintessential hatchback we've already seen would be one pillar. The Countryman crossover would be another. And the production version of the new Clubman concept which Mini displayed in Geneva would be a third. A convertible based (like the existing one and the one that came before it) on the hardtop hatchback is likely to follow, but don't expect too many other versions.
