and stable condition!) -Replaced
rockers Overall
this car was set up to accelerate quickly, go around turns like a GO-KART and
stop safely. The paint is a few years old and is in good condition. I will be
including Thule roof rack as well. I have a clean Virginia title in hand ready
to transfer!!! All turn signals, and lights work, the windshield wipers even
work! Oil pressure and gas gauges work along with the aftermarket cd player,
this thing can be driven everyday!! The odometer and speedometer are INOP due
to an old cable needing replacement, this is really the only thing that I would
want to fix but have gotten used to driving without those two items. I am only
selling this vehicle inside of the good ol' U.S.A! I will expect a non-refundable
deposit within 24 hours of the auction close and full payment by cash, or
certified check. If you decide to use PayPal for the full balance of the car
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL FEES!! I will not pay fees on a full PayPal
transaction so please keep this in mind PRIOR to bidding. I don't mind using PayPal
for the deposit. I have done my best to describe this beautiful little mini
cooper but please ask questions prior to bidding because this is being sold
AS-IS. Please keep in mind this car is 42 years old and will not be perfect,
although I have tried!!! I will make transaction quick and easy for the winning
bidder. I have bought and sold cars before and understand what needs to be
done. Good luck
bidding and you will LOVE this thing!!! Call
or Text with any questions (703) 987-5115 -Tony |

Mini bringing new 230-hp John Cooper Works to Detroit
Mon, 07 Jul 2014
Mini models may keep getting incrementally bigger, but then so do their engines. Or more powerful, anyway - especially when it comes to the John Cooper Works performance models. The JCW version of the first (post-revival) generation R50, which was really more of an upgraded Cooper S than its own model, packed a 1.6-liter supercharged four with 200 horsepower. The following R56 JCW upped that incrementally to 208 hp, but the next Works hatchback is now rumored to pack around 230 horses.
Tipped to be revealed in both three- and five-door body-styles at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show half a year from now, the F56-gen Mini John Cooper Works hatchback is expected to use the same 2.0-liter turbo four as the new Mini Cooper S, but increasing the output from 189 hp to approximately 230. That would mean it would be more powerful than either of the two previous John Cooper Works GP editions to make the new JCW the most powerful road-going Mini to date, backed by 285 pound-feet of torque driving through a six-speed manual or available automatic transmission to deliver what promises to be a blistering pace for the latest retro hatchback.
Mini Yours parts-ordering service lets you personalize your car
Wed, Dec 27 2017Mini is stealing a page from more upmarket luxury brands by offering customers the opportunity to add individualized parts starting next year. The Mini Yours Customised service will let owners create and order customized side scuttles, dashboard trim panels, and LED-projected door sills and door projectors that illuminate a welcome design or message or their choosing, all via a configurator on an Online Shop. Customers will be able to choose different colors, patterns, surface finishes, icons, texts and even their own signature into the designs. Imagine customizing your Hardtop to read "Melissa's Mini" or maybe "Willyz Wheelz." The custom parts will be manufactured in Germany using 3D printing and laser etching, then delivered within a few weeks. They can then be installed either by the customer or a Mini dealer. If the vehicle is sold to someone else, the new owner can order new custom designs. Mini says the service will be made available over the course of 2018 "in Europe and other large markets," presumably including the U.S., though Autoblog is seeking clarification on that point. Mini says the move is in keeping with the spirit of individualization the brand is known for. "This unparalleled freedom of design allows customers to transform their Mini into a unique special defined by their personal style and their own creativity," the company said in a release.Related Video:
Mini apologizes with chocolate rose after spamming customer's inbox
Thu, 31 Jan 2013If you're a manufacturer, there are only so many ways you can say "sorry" after your automated e-mail system goes berzerk and spams everyone on your mailing list with hundreds of the same message. Mini recently found itself in that very spot, and rather than respond with a sheepish mea culpa, the company's PR team took a different tack by sending owners a very unique gift box. How unique? Inside, one owner found a set of chocolate roses, a roll of duct tape and a genuine can of Spam.
In an accompanying note, the company said it hoped the sweets would help patch things up between the company and the victims of the e-mail barrage, but in the event that wasn't enough to do the trick, the duct tape was there to help out. And the can of Spam? That tagged along just for stress release. Apparently the canned meat is squeezable. We wouldn't know. You can check out full photos of the gift box here.
