2004 Mercury Sable Gs Sedan No Reserve!! Nice!! on 2040-cars
Sullivan, Illinois, United States
This is a NO RESERVE auction for a 2004 Mercury Sable with 132,112 miles on it. It RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT with no mechanical issues besides brake pads are getting low. This is a wonderful car to drive. The vehicle was used for our business here in Illinois and is no longer needed. It has ALL MAINTENENCE RECORDS SINCE 2006!! THIS HAS A VERY GOOD CARFAX REPORT WHICH CAN BE SEEN FREE HERE ON THIS EBAY LISTING!! The vehicle was aquired from a government auction for our business and then is now being distributed here on eBay along with some other vehicle like trucks and such as the business is cleaning up. It has cruise control, stock CD stereo, power windows, power door locks, power everything!! The interior is very clean with no rips or tears and has good headliner. The windows are good with no cracks. The AC needs to be recharged, but has no leaks. There is NO RUST, NO MAJOR SCRATCHES, NO DENTS, NO NOISES, NO LEAKS!! There is one scratch on the top of the rear bumper as you can see in the pics. The tires are Goodyear and have 8/32 tread on them which is very good. The car has a v6 engine and automatic transmission. This is a very good price for this vehicle, however it is a used car with average wear and tear and 132k. Please be ready to follow through with the auction terms, otherwise the vehicle will be relisted or sold to the next highest bidder. There is a 'buy it now' on this listing, though that usually goes away after a bid is placed. I am very fair and run a business so I would appreciate a legitimate buyer and you will be happy with the deal. I am new to ebay so feedback isn't much, however I had recently sold some vehcles on here with super good results which can definitely be verified including whatever feedback that I do have. Therefore of you have any questions or would like to view the vehicle for yourself, feel free to call me at 773-916-3751 or message me here on ebay. Thanks and good luck bidding.

Report: Last Mercury for retail business built on Sunday
Mon, 04 Oct 2010Ford is already well into winding down its Mercury line, and the autoamker has announced that the very last of the soon-to-be dead brand's products built for retail sales was manufactured on Sunday, October 3. The final Mercury Mariner rolled off of the assembly line at the company's Kansas City facility, putting an end to a brand with over 70 years of history behind it.
Even after the Mariner heads off into the automotive sunset, Ford says that it will continue to manufacture a handful of Mercury models for fleet and government service for a while longer, though mum's the word on how long we can expect that practice to continue.
Interestingly enough, according to USA Today, most incentives on Mercury vehicles have all but dried up, even as the brand's August production increased by 120 percent compared to July's figures. Instead of cash on the hood, some areas are offering no-cost maintenance or similar programs. Even so, Mercury has continued to out-sell Lincoln right to the end - besting Ford's luxury arm's sales by nine percent in August.
Junkyard Gem: 1996 Nissan Quest XE with 338,549 miles
Sun, Jul 9 2023When I hit the junkyard, I always look for vehicles with impressive final figures showing on their odometers. I find so many Hondas and Toyotas with better than 300,000 miles that I don't consider them especially noteworthy (the exception being super-low-spec cheap models, such as a Tercel or Civic VX), and it goes without saying that the bar is quite high for Mercedes-Benzes as well. It has been surprisingly difficult to find discarded Nissans that made it past the 300k mark; today's Junkyard Gem is just the fourth I've documented. The highest-mile junked Nissan I'd found prior to today's minivan is a 1994 Maxima with 364,238 miles, followed by a 1987 Maxima with 341,176 miles and a 1986 200SX with 309,222 miles. Keep in mind that Nissan didn't go to six-digit odometers on most of its US-market cars until the early 1980s, and then went to tough-to-read-in-the-junkyard electronic odometers in the early 2000s; this means the pool of potential high-mile Nissans is limited to about the 1983-2000 range of model years. Ford has just as much right to claim credit to this van's impressive mile total as does Nissan, since the Quest was a collaboration between Ford and Nissan that also produced the Mercury Villager; this van was built by Ford at the Ohio Assembly plant. The Quest/Villager platform was derived from the Maxima's, and the engine is pure Nissan: a 3.0-liter VG30 V6 rated at 151 horsepower. The only transmission available in the first-generation (1993-1999) Quest/Villager was a four-speed automatic. This one appears to have been sold new at Landrum Nissan in Pueblo. The rear glass has been painted flat black, possibly to keep prying eyes from seeing valuable cargo. The rear seats are long gone, so this van probably hauled cargo for much of its long life. The front interior seems to be in good shape. Why is this van here? There's body damage on the left rear and right front, suggesting a crash that may have bent the suspension past the worth-fixing threshold. Perhaps the crinkled metal just made this van too unsightly, or maybe some powertrain problem was the culprit. This content is hosted by a third party. eBay Find of the Day: Craterface's '49 Mercury convertible from Grease
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Here is your chance to own your very own piece of greased lightning. Well, not the Greased Lighting, it's actually the black, flamed 1949 Mercury convertible that races against John Travolta in the classic 1978 movie Grease, and it's for auction on eBay Motors.
While it appeared in the film's exciting drag race in a Los Angeles storm drain, the hot rod was reportedly lost until last year, when the seller found it as a shell. He verified that it was the actual car with original builder, Eddie Paul, and sent the car for a complete restoration.
The auction includes original parts like the exhaust tips used in the movie and bent bumper from when it hit Travolta's car in the scene. The restorer recreated the scorpion stickers on the doors, razor hubcaps and license plate. He also installed a 1949 Mercury 255-cubic-inch (4.2-liter), flathead V8 and three-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
