This is a very nice Mercury Grand Marquis, Park Lane editionn, in excellent condition, with 57,781 original miles. This is the rare Park Lane edition. I liked the way it looked when I first saw it. Nice color combination. This car runs and drives excellent. I don't think you will find a nicer one in this price range. Every option works as it should, including the air conditioning. Everything has been checked over like the brakes, tires etc. It has a current Massachusetts emissions and safety sticker. I only sell cars on this site, so you don't have to search my feedback for someone who bought a car from me. Each feedback from a buyer is for a car like this. No exceptions. I've been in this business since 1974, ( right out of college ) where I owned a very busy garage and auto body. Now I only buy one car at a time, make sure it's in good condition, under 100,000 miles and under $5000.00. I've leased the garage to two experts who make sure my cars are in top condition. Please click the main picture and all pictures will enlarge. I pay extra for this so you can get a good view of everything. The first thing I check is the chassis to make sure it ( or anything else ) is not rusted. Someone took good care of this car, You won't be disappointed. Not bad on gas and a very comfortable ride. By the way, I hold a state of Massachusets damage appraiser's license for thirty five years. I don't buy trade-ins or cars people were getting rid of. My wife and I drive every car while it's being advertised so we are sure everything is good to go. Please call me ( Dickie ) @ 508 994-9206 any time. This is our home number and we will help you with things like transportation offers, payment methods etc.,There is no charge for storage. This gives you plenty of time to get the best deal on a transporter or any other arrangements  Take care,  Dickied.

Ford announces two recalls, 442k vehicles affected in North America

Wed, May 27 2015

Ford is announcing two recalls for North American that affect a total of 442,300 vehicles and multiple model lines. The larger campaign covers the possibility of electric power steering systems that can fail in the 2011-2013 Ford Flex, Taurus, Lincoln MKS, and MKT; the 2011-2012 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ; and the 2011 Mercury Milan. This recall affects 422,814 vehicles in North America, including 393,622 in the United States, 25,195 in Canada, and 3,997 in Mexico. According to the company, an intermittent electrical connection can cause the power steering to cut out, although manual steering would still work. Ford knows of four minor accidents from this issue, but there are no injuries. Depending on trouble codes from the vehicle, dealers will either upgrade software for the power steering control module or replace the steering gear. The second recall covers 19,486 examples of the 2015 Ford Mustang with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a production date between February 14, 2014, and February 10, 2015 at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Specifically, there are 19,095 of these in the US and 391 in Canada. These pony cars can show elevated underbody temperatures, which can lead to degradation of the fuel tank, fuel vapor lines, and parking brake cable seals. There are no reports of accidents, injuries or fires from this, though. To fix things, dealers will install a better-insulated fuel tank shield, add thermal patches around the tank and parking brake cable, and put thermal wraps around the fuel vapor lines. You can read the specific build dates and locations for the models affected by the power steering issue in Ford's press release below the video. eBay Find of the Day: Craterface's '49 Mercury convertible from Grease

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

Here is your chance to own your very own piece of greased lightning. Well, not the Greased Lighting, it's actually the black, flamed 1949 Mercury convertible that races against John Travolta in the classic 1978 movie Grease, and it's for auction on eBay Motors.
While it appeared in the film's exciting drag race in a Los Angeles storm drain, the hot rod was reportedly lost until last year, when the seller found it as a shell. He verified that it was the actual car with original builder, Eddie Paul, and sent the car for a complete restoration.
The auction includes original parts like the exhaust tips used in the movie and bent bumper from when it hit Travolta's car in the scene. The restorer recreated the scorpion stickers on the doors, razor hubcaps and license plate. He also installed a 1949 Mercury 255-cubic-inch (4.2-liter), flathead V8 and three-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
