87' Mercury Grand Marquis LS in very, very good condition.  It has a few minor cosmetic issues, i.e. door dings, paint chips, etc.  But, the body is straight, with the original paint on it.  Great for the age of the car!  The interior is also very clean, no rips, tears, or stains.  Mechanically, everything works, even all the little lights, like for the keyholes on the front doors, for example.  All power options work, windows, locks, and antenna.  I'm only the second owner, have had it for a little over a year.  The car is originally from Central CA, so no rust at all.  Originally got it for my 16 year old, but he's not so interested in it anymore.  His loss!  The miles are correct, has not turned over.  Have the receipts for everything we did to the car, here's most of the items covered:  New tires, plugs, cap and rotor, plug wires, transmission service, radiator flush, and LOF.  We also replaced 4 of the 6 speakers.  The ac works, could stand a recharge, but it does work.  It also has been driven a week or so every month just to keep everything in working order.  All in all, a very nice example of an American vehicle from that period.  Clear title is in hand, vehicle sold as is, no warranty.  $500.00 deposit via PayPal required within 24hrs of auction end, balance due by certified funds or cash within 7 days of auction end.  Buyer is responsible for transporting vehicle.  Please contact me with any questions, thanks for looking, and good luck!

The AM37 is literally the Aston Martin of boats

Wed, Sep 28 2016

While sports car companies such as Porsche and Lamborghini are looking to SUVs to expand their offerings, Aston Martin has taken a page from Mercedes and designed a boat. Specifically, it's a 37-foot powerboat appropriately named the AM37. The boat was developed with help from Mulder Design and Quintessence Yachts, and is available in two different versions, both of which should the aquatic equivalent of Aston Martin performance. The standard AM37 is available with two different pairs of engines from Mercury, either 370-horsepower diesel engines or 450-horsepower gas engines. If that's not enough, Aston also offers the AM37S, which comes with a pair of 520-horsepower gasoline Mercury engines. Like road-going Astons, this boat is absolutely gorgeous. The lines are simple, crisp and clean. It features a beautiful wood deck, and an impressive double-curved, single-piece glass windshield. And if you get tired of the sun, the AM37 features a powered, carbon fiber bimini top. The interior completes the package with a carbon fiber dashboard, lots of leather and polished steering wheel, throttle and joystick. It's also incredibly well-equipped with seating for eight, air conditioning, mood lighting, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, a bed that folds out from the table, and even a bathroom. Aston Martin didn't release pricing or availability for the AM37. However, we suspect that if you really want this boat and have the means, pricing doesn't matter, and you're probably willing to wait. Watch as an out-of-control car demolishes gas pump

Tue, May 2 2017

A Baltimore area man was fighting for his life Tuesday after crashing his car into a gas station. According to WBAL, the unidentified 64-year-old lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons around 4:55 a.m. May 1 in Parkville, Md. The 2007 Mercury Milan careened downhill, ramped over a curb, and smashed full-speed into a gas station pump. The car then flipped and came to rest against one of the station's canopy support pillars. Don Karbowniczek, owner of a service station across the street, told WBAL he was shocked there wasn't more damage. It's also surprising that the car even made it to the pumps, as it had to thread past a coin-op vacuum machine, the station's sign, a utility pole, and a traffic light pole. "It came right through, took some of our bushes out, just trimmed them for us, and how it got through and flip the way it did, I don't know. From what I see on the marks, it had to go airborne and just come down on the pump," Karbowniczek said. Thankfully there was no fire or explosion. Gas pumps have shear valves - safety devices that immediately cut the flow of gasoline when a pump is damaged. The driver was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and was in critical condition. Police theorized the driver may have become stricken with a health issue when he lost control. Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage

Mon, 03 Jan 2011

The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.
