UNFORTUNATE DISCLAIMER PLEASE READ EVERY WORD OF THIS LISTING BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS VEHICLE. THANK YOU.

AFTER 1500 POSITIVE TRANSACTIONS I JUST RECEIVED BAD FEEDBACK FROM A BUYER WHO PURCHASED A CUSTOM TRUCK FROM ME FOR A VERY LOW PRICE. IT PROBABLY WOULD COST THREE TIMES AS MUCH TO BUILD THE TRUCK. I LISTED IT WITH THE PROS AND CONS INCLUDING OVER 5K IN IMPROVEMENTS. THE BUYER STARTED CALLING ME AND DEMANDING MONEY PRIOR TO EVEN RECEIVING THE TRUCK IN HIS STATE. WHEN HE RECEIVED IT, HE MADE A OUTRIGHT CASH DEMAND FOR 1500 DOLLARS  "OR ELSE".  HIS LIST OF COMPLAINTS INCLUDED A MISSING SCREW IN HEADLINER, A SMALL "WHINING" NOISE IN THE TRANSMISSION IN THIRD GEAR, AND A NON WORKING TURN SIGNAL BULB. THIS AFTER HAVING ALREADY NEGOTIATED THE PRICE DOWN 1000.00 PRIOR TO BUYING IT. HE THEN TOLD ME I SHOULD HAVE LISTED THE TRUCK AS A "PROJECT" IF I KNEW THE HEADLINER BRACKET WAS MISSING ONE SCREW, AND THAT IT NEEDED A TURN SIGNAL BULB. THIS GUY TAUGHT ME A LESSON FOR FUTURE LISTINGS, AND THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION IS RESPONSIVE TO THIS PERSON.

I ALSO CHECKED CARFAX AND IT OF COURSE REFLECTS LESS, SINCE LAST TIME MILES WERE REGISTERED. THIS IS A ALMOST 12 YEAR OLD VEHICLE. IT HAS NOT BEEN IN MY POSSESSION FOR THOSE 12 YEARS.

THIS CAR, HAS IMPERFECTIONS. IT HAS LITTLE DINGS. IT HAS MINOR SCRATCHES, OR SCRATCHES DUE TO WEAR. IT IS NOT PERFECT. IT MAY HAVE A LITTLE NOISE HERE AND THERE THAT WAS NOT PRESENT THE DAY THE FIRST OWNER PAID 80K FOR IT AND TOOK IT OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP. PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT A NEW CAR THIS IS NOT. THIS IS A NICE USED CAR. IT IS A MERCEDES BENZ IT IS NOT A TOYOTA. I RECENTLY READ SOMETHING THAT MADE A LOT OF SENSE, IF YOU CANT AFFORD TO MAINTAIN SOMETHING DONT OWN IT. PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT A $60.00 BRAKE JOB, OR A $19.00  DOLLAR OIL CHANGE ON A SL500 MERCEDES. ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU WILL IT, OR WISH IT TO BE TRUE. 

THE CARS INTERIOR IS IN NICE SHAPE. NOT PERFECT BUT RESPECTABLE FOR ITS AGE. IT HAS A SMALL TEAR BEHIND THE DRIVERS SEAT IN A REAR COMPARTMENT DOOR. NOT REALLY VISIBLE FROM INSIDE WITHOUT PUTTING SEAT FORWARD. DRIVERS SEAT HAS NORMAL WEAR. THERE IS A LITTLE LOSE MATERIAL ON THE BOTTOM OF DRIVERS HEADREST. DASHBOARD IS CLEAN . I DONT SEE ANY STAINS OR SCRATCHES OR TEARS ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE INTERIOR BUT YOU MAY HAVE A MORE DISCERNING EYE, SO IF YOU LIKE TO DISCUSS OVER THE PHONE I WILL DO THAT, AND THEN SEND YOU A DETAILED MESSAGE THROUGH EBAY OF EVERYTHING DISCUSSED ON THE PHONE.

THE RIMS HAVE NORMAL ROAD RASH FOR THEIR AGE, AND THEY ARE AMG WHEELS. 

THE TIRES SEEM TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION AND APPEAR TO BE AT LIKE 70 PERCENT OF WEAR. PLEASE DO NOT HOLD ME TO IT. THEY LOOK GOOD I DID NOT TAKE A PRECISION TOOL TO MEASURE TREAD. PLEASE ASSUME YOU NEED TIRES IF THIS DESCRIPTION IS NOT SATISFACTORY.

Daimler names Bernd Pischetsrieder to supervisory board

Some executives in the automotive industry stay with one company for their entire careers, while others bounce from one to the other, often leaving their indelible mark on each automaker at which they serve. Bob Lutz is certainly an example of the latter. So is Lee Iacocca, having presided over Ford and later charing the Chrysler board. Carlos Tavares was chief operating officer of Renault before being nominated as chief executive at PSA Peugeot Citroën. But as far as the Germans go, nobody's jumped from the leadership of one automaker to the next quite like Bernd Pischetsrieder - especially now that he's been named to the supervisory board of Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler.
An engineer by training, Pischetsrieder started his career at BMW in 1973, eventually rising to the office of CEO after twenty years. There he remained until 1999, only to be dismissed after orchestrating BMW's takeover of the Rover Group (of which only the Mini brand remains in the company's portfolio, the other brands having been sold off after his dismissal).
The next year he was named chairman of Volkswagen's Seat brand, and rose to the chairmanship of the entire Volkswagen Group two years later. Despite a largely successful four-year tenure (that gave birth, incidentally, to the Bugatti Veyron), disagreements with supervisory board chairman Ferdinand Piëch saw him leave the helm at VW AG, focusing his attention on the Scania truck division. He's since been touted as a potential chief executive for Opel and for Continental, but neither potential was apparently realized.

Volvo, Daimler, Traton join forces to build electric truck charging network

Volvo Group, Daimler Truck and Volkswagen's AG heavy-truck business the Traton Group announced on Monday a non-binding agreement to build a network of high-performance public charging stations for electric heavy-duty long-haul trucks and buses around Europe. The news was first reported by Reuters. The three major European automakers will invest ˆ500 million (~$593 million USD) to install and operate 1,700 charging points in strategic locations and close to highways. They intend to finalize the agreement by the end of this year and start operations next year, with the hopes of increasing the number of charge points significantly as the companies seek additional partners for the future joint venture. The venture is meant to be a catalyst to prepare for the European Union's goals of carbon-neutral freight transportation by 2050. One of the main deterrents for both individuals and freight companies for switching to EVs has historically been a lack of charging infrastructure. By building that infrastructure, Volvo, Daimler and Traton can also expect to boost their own sales of electric trucks and buses. “It is the joint aim of EuropeÂ’s truck manufacturers to achieve climate neutrality by 2050," Martin Daum, CEO Daimler Truck, said in a statement.  "However, it is vital that building up the right infrastructure goes hand in hand with putting CO2-neutral trucks on the road. Together with Volvo Group and the Traton Group, we are therefore very excited to take this pioneering step to establish a high-performance charging network across Europe.” The partnership between Volvo and Daimler isn't unprecedented. In May, the two competitors teamed up to produce hydrogen fuel cells for long-haul trucks to lower development costs and boost production volumes. This latest venture is another signal that major companies are banding together to solve climate-related issues in the industry. European car industry association ACEA has called for up to 50,000 high-performance charging points by 2030. Traton CEO Matthias Gruendler told Reuters that roughly 10 billion euros would be needed to build out Europe's infrastructure to be fully electrified by 2050. According to a statement released by Volvo, this venture is also a call to action for others with a stake in the industry, like automakers or governments, to work together to ensure the rapid expansion needed to reach climate goals.

Ford and Mercedes join Renault in French emissions investigation

The French government is investigating certain models from Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Renault because they allegedly produce more nitrogen oxide than the country's pollution rules allow, according to Automotive News, citing a French newspaper. After VW's emissions scandal, French regulators began checking more vehicles for evidence of defeat devices and excessive real-world pollution. According to Automotive News, the Mercedes S350 allegedly showed inconsistent results across these tests, and a Ford C-Max had NOx levels five times over the limit. The Renault Captur crossover, Espace, and an unnamed utility vehicle also had results that were too high. The French testing for this investigation includes an on-road emissions check that's not part of the EU's normal evaluations, which some automakers claim is unfair. "Unofficial on-road testing has varying conditions and can produce significantly different results," a Ford of Europe spokesman told Automotive News. Renault representatives met with French officials on January 18 to explain the situation. The company later submitted a plan to recall 15,800 examples of the diesel Captur, and said it would offer a voluntary software upgrade for about 700,000 other vehicles, according to Automotive News. Representatives from Ford and Mercedes will meet with the government soon, too. Renault's stock price plunged last week after investors heard that French regulators searched three of the automaker's sites as part of the emissions investigation. The stockholders feared an environmental scandal like the one currently embroiling Volkswagen. There's one major difference – as of now, there's no evidence Renault equipped any of the polluting models with defeat devices. Related Video:
