It drives like a dream and has great power. Step on the gas and it purrs and accelerates in seconds. It is a sleek midnight blue, on grey, and looks as good as the new SL500s; the body style is very similar so it looks like a very modern car. It is luxurious by even today's standards: power everything, 50+ ways to adjust your seat just so, memory for 3 people's adjustments, excellent condition comfy perforated leather seats, cd player, locked storage compartments. It comes with a hard top but also a black soft convertible top for when the weather is beautiful like it will be for Spring in a month! This car has had only two owners and has been kept in excellent condition. Always garaged. No problems and no accidents ever. It has very low miles for a car of its age or really any used car: 71,xxx original miles. This low mileage is unheard of, it should be 165,000 - 200,000. Can easily go for another 100,000 miles and then some! Very very low miles. Very hard to find this low of miles on this vintage. This car is like a fine wine! It is a quality, hand built, German, solid metal heavy duty car from a time when cars were built to last and made with quality materials. It is considered a collectible car now and fairly rare. CD player added. This car has a salvage title but has never been in an accident. It had it's glass windows vandalized by a kid but all the glass has been replaced. No accident, body damage, or damage to cars internal components. It was all cosmetic and the vandalized glass has completely been replaced with Mercedes OEM glass. I am pricing this car for a fairly quick sale at a fair price of 40% of value because of the salvage title and because it will need a little interior TLC from a loving owner. She's an older beauty! Piloting an 8,500-pound motorized house down the highway is far from my idea of fun, yet inexplicably, I'm enjoying myself. My grin has nothing to do with my camper's handling, as this heavily accoutered Mercedes-Benz Sprinter drives like a 25-foot long breadbox. My smile has nothing to do with on-road stability, as the ten-foot-tall, slab-sided vehicle reacts to wind gusts like the vertical stabilizer on a Boeing jet. My delight has nothing to do with its throttle or braking response, either, as both are as numb as your forehead after the eighth beer.
This monstrosity makes me happy for one reason - my passengers are undeniably having a good time.
2023 Mercedes-Maybach S 680 by Virgil Abloh is maximum fashion with a V12
Tue, Apr 5 2022If the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 wasn’t already exclusive enough for you, listen up. This is the limited-edition Maybach by Virgil Abloh version of the Mercedes-Maybach S 680, and there will only be 150 of them built for the world. The vehicle is the result of a collaboration between Virgil Abloh and Mercedes chief designer Gordon Wagener. Mercedes says the design was finalized prior to AblohÂ’s passing in November 2021. In case youÂ’re unfamiliar with Abloh, know that he was many things throughout his life. HeÂ’s known best for being a fashion designer and entrepreneur, but he was also an artist, philanthropist and architect. As for the car itself, the exterior uses a two-tone paint combo that you might recall from the Project Maybach electric off-road coupe. The bottom half is meant to make you think of sand, while the top half contrasts that in a glossy Obsidian Black finish. The window frames lose their bright look and are painted black to make it as monolithic as possible from the side. Even the forged wheels are painted in the sandy hue. The same theme continues for the interior. ItÂ’s a black and tan two-tone throughout, and MercedesÂ’ Nappa Leather is used to cover surfaces. A unique Mercedes-Maybach and Virgil Abloh logo is inscribed on the center console to denote this carÂ’s special-edition status. YouÂ’ll see the same logo on rear cushions, headrests and door sills. Mercedes even went so far as to modify the infotainment system and its controls for this special edition. The “home” button gets a sandy Abloh theme, and so do the selectable apps on screen. TheyÂ’re decorated with fashion accessories, and theyÂ’re hopefully still as easy to depict and use as MercedesÂ’ standard MBUX icons. As for extras beyond the car itself, every one of these special-edition models comes with a wooden box emblazoned with the Mercedes-Maybach and Virgil Abloh logo. Inside the box, youÂ’ll find a 1:18 replica of the car, a carabiner hook and your two keys. YouÂ’re also going to get a car cover featuring the Virgil Abloh logo with the car, but this one doesnÂ’t fit in the box. If you really want to look the part next to your car, there is a whole line of clothing designed by Virgil Abloh that is launching today, too. It comprises clothing done in shades and hues similar to the car, so you can truly look the part hopping out of your Virgil Abloh Mercedes-Maybach.
2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG rumbles on stage 4Matic style
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Bruce Hornsby and his soothing piano skills helped introduce us to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but the monstrous E63 AMG sedan needed no entrance music as it rumbled on stage. The 550-horsepower (and up) sedan sat proudly alongside the rest of the redesigned E-Class on stage at the Detroit Auto Show, but stood miles apart in intention and execution.
In addition to a choice of sedan and wagon body styles, the E63 AMG will also offer buyers the choice of the standard 550 hp or an upgraded 577-hp S-Model; regardless of output, all 2014 E63 AMG models will come standard with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.
