I'm only the 3rd owner of this lovely car. I just don't have the time to play with it like I thought I would when I bought it 5 years ago. I put a lot of work into it to be a summer weekend car, but I just haven't made time. I need to sell it to someone who will enjoy it more.
The issues:
It needs new seats. I was going to do that, but my tastes might not be the same as someone else, so I didn't do that. I took off $2,000 from the price for that. The seats I'd replace it with have horsehair instead of foam. The company that made the top will do it perfectly--ask me for the info.
It needs the transmission tightened. It was just inspected a few days ago by a mechanic when they installed a new starter and it'll be fine for a few years, but it does need to be done. I took off the $500 they'd charge to do that.
The buttons have been replaced for the windows and are working fine, but every now and again the passenger window doesn't want to work. It does come to it's senses, eventually, it's the servo motor in the door. I took off $250 for that to be replaced by someone else.
I have all the original paperwork! I also have the mechanical records that were kept on the car before I purchased it too. It comes with the original manual as well!
The car is worth a lot, but I understand that it needs more work, so that's why I've lowered the price so much.

Daimler ponders partnerships with Apple, Google
Mon, Aug 24 2015Daimler Chairman Dieter Zetsche is willing to consider joint ventures with tech giants like Apple and Google. Don't expect the automaker's vehicles to become just another platform for their software, though. In an interview with a German magazine, the chairman admits "different types" of partnerships could be possible, according to Reuters. As vehicles become increasingly connected, greater expertise is necessary in creating their software. The changing market is an opportunity for tech companies to enter the auto industry. "Google and Apple want to provide system software for cars and bring this entire ecosystem around Apple and Google into the vehicle," Zetsche said, according to Reuters. "That can be interesting for both sides." Although, he was clear no deals had happened, yet. For automakers, the danger of this cooperation is for a vehicle to be just a physical device that runs the software. "We don't want to become contractors who have no direct content with customers any more and supply hardware to third parties," he said in the interview. Zetsche has been working out how to create this balance for a while. Earlier this year, he said that some partnerships with Silicon Valley firms could be helpful. However, data privacy remains a major concern, especially in the wake of multiple vehicle hacks in recent months. Brabus rockets the Mercedes S65 to 900 horsepower

They take a look at a vehicle with 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque on tap – one of the most powerful cars money can buy – and say that's still not enough. Fortunately there are companies like Brabus that cater to just such individuals. The Mercedes tuner extraordinaire brought the Rocket 900 to the Geneva Motor Show this year. It's based on the S65 AMG – yeah, the one with the twin-turbo V12 – but takes it a step or ten further. For starters, Brabus has bored the engine out to 6.3 liters and hooked up new turbochargers, exhaust, intake and more – cranking output up to 887 hp and a mind-bending 1,106 lb-ft of torque. Of course it didn't stop there, revising everything from the limited slip differential and air suspension to aero kit and interior. The result? Try 0-62 in 3.7 seconds, a 217-mile-per-hour top speed and a price tag approaching $400,000.
