Hello and thank you for visiting my auction.
This auction is for 1 absolutely beautiful 1966 Mercedes Benz 230SL. The car has a brand new restoration done by an incredible body shop in Miami Florida. 95% of the car has been refinished.. From a brand new paint job, to new electric and wiring through out the majority of the motor. This car is my from my personal collection. I bought the car about 1 year ago and spent $17,000.00 during its restoration. I purchased the car from the 2nd owner and it was 100% original!!! I have pictures of the car when I first purchased it if you'd like to see. Please send me your email and I will gladly send them. Below is a list of things to know about the car.
ON A SCALE OF 1-10, 10 BEING PERFECT, THIS CAR IS A SOLID 7 and 3/4!
Exterior: The 230 has a brand new, 6 month old Pearl White paint job. It is absolutely stunning! Originally, the car was white and had some rust on the rear fenders, and I had my body shop cut the metal and weld new metal back on. (It was only about a square inch on both rear fenders). I then had them paint the car with a high quality paint, and as you can see from the finished product in the pictures, it came out amazing and I was very happy with the finished product. ($7500.00 value). The lines and body panels on this car are EXTREMELY straight. This car was 100% original when I purchased it and the previous owner told me it had never been crashed or repainted! In other words, the body panel skins look like the day they came out of the factory in 1966. I also had the trunk lid replaced with a brand new one and that alone was $1,400.00. As you can see from the pictures, there isn't one dent on any body panel on the car!
I've also added a brand new Navy Blue canvas top. As you can see from the pictures, it folds perfectly into the top-compartment and only takes about a minute to put the top down. ($1300.00 value)
The tires on the car are in excellent shape and are only 1 year old. They only have an estimated 2,000 miles on them.
The car also has all of the polished metal trim. About 90% of it was re-installed. I have the other few pieces needed, but I have not had time to take it back to Miami where I had the car re-stored. I was told that the car still has some rust underneath.
Interior: The interior is also brand new! I had everything taken out of the car when it was being restored at the body shop and taken to an upholstery shop in Miami as well. As you can see from the pictures, the seats, dash, visors, and convertible top-housing were completely re-done. I tried to match the original color of the interior which was a "baseball clay" like color. There is a picture of one of the original door handles on the seat for comparison. Once the car was put back together at the body shop, I drove the car back to the upholstery shop and had them carpet all of the flooring, rear storage space, and the trunk with brand new Navy blue carpet to match the Convertible top. ($3,000.00 value)
Motor: The car runs absolutely incredible! I had 90% of the wiring through out the motor and car replaced as well as a new battery. I also had all 12 rocker arms/lifters replaced about 3 months ago. The car sounds excellent, is quiet relative to its age, and fires right up. ($4,500.00 value) IT DOES NOT AND NEVER HAS OVER HEATED!
There is only 1 very small issue that I can think of mechanically. There is a very small oil leak coming from a gasket which I've already purchased and will come with the car. The car will also come with a few other brand new cosmetic and mechanical parts which I've purchased to simply anticipate any thing else mechanically although everything is is running perfect.
If you have any questions at all, please message me right away. PLEASE TRUST my incredible feedback. I have sold countless cars, boats, jetski's, watches, and several other high end items that total well over $1,000,000.00 in sales on ebay, all from my personal collection, and as you can see, my feedback is almost perfect! You are getting an absolute quality car!
This is your chance to get a car valued by Hagerty Insurance @ $30,000.00 for a great price! Very Low Reserve! Best of luck!

2017 Infiniti QX30 First Drive
Mon, Jul 18 2016If you've heard anything before about this car, the 2017 Infiniti QX30, it probably has to do with its corporate parents, an odd couple if there ever was one. Renault-Nissan, Infiniti's corporate overlords, inked a deal with Mercedes-Benz to share some mechanical components and platforms. That deal put a new, very modern 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four under the hood of the Q50 and was the genesis of what you're looking at here. What are you looking at here? We drove this car in 2015, when it was called a Q30 – originally it was going to be the lower-riding counterpart to the slightly jacked-up QX30. Then Infiniti decided it'd make more sense to sell all variants of this vehicle as CUVs in the US, so we have three slightly different flavors of the QX30 instead. There's the normal version; the Sport, which is 0.6 inches lower; and the AWD, which is 1.2 inches higher. Infiniti brought us to Seattle to sample the Sport and AWD flavors on a semi-circumnavigation of the Puget Sound. It didn't rain a drop, thanks for asking, and instead was sunny and mild the whole time. It's easy to make the QX30 sound more confusing than it actually is. This is essentially a Mercedes-Benz GLA250 with full exterior styling and partial interior design by Infiniti, built in the UK alongside several other Nissans. The powertrain and chassis, including the optional AWD system, were all "co-developed" with partner Daimler, with final calibration and tuning by Infiniti engineers. Here's another way of explaining it: Infiniti needs an entry-level car to appeal to new premium car shoppers, and the QX30 is the prescription. It's a hatchback that's been given the mildest of CUV treatments and a lot of marketing descriptors. That's because hatchbacks are sales death in America. In Europe, they'll see right through the CUV posturing and realize it's just a hatchback offered in three different suspension heights. Whatever you call it to make it palatable to Americans, it's a useful little vehicle. This car is mechanically identical to the Q30, so there are some things we can gloss over. Both are powered by a transverse-mounted 2.0-liter Mercedes inline-four. It's a turbocharged, direct-injection gasoline engine, and it sure feels like one. It sounds like a rock tumbler full of nickels and runs out of breath at about 5,000 rpm. All versions make 208 hp at 5,500 rpm and 258 lb-ft of torque between 1,200 and 4,400 rpm – more than adequate but less than thrilling.
Mercedes was set to sell version of Nissan Titan, now Infiniti might instead
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Mercedes-Benz Titan. Mercedes-Benz Frontier. Mercedes-Benz pickup truck. None of these things roll off the tongue particularly well. We'd like to think that's the reason Daimler opted to kill the idea of rebadged Titan and Frontier pickups from corporate ally Nissan. In reality, the execution before the Frankfurt Motor Show was due to more complicated issues.
Yes, Mercedes, byword for German luxury, style and quality, would have slapped a three-pointed star on a pair of Japanese pickup trucks that have failed to resonate with consumers in the world's largest truck market. That slapping of badges isn't much of an exaggeration, at least on the outside. According to the report from Road & Track, the truck's front clip would have been tweaked, but beyond that, the sheetmetal would have been unchanged. The interior would have received a more thorough going-over by the team at Mercedes, while the suspension and noise, vibration and harshness tuning would have also received significant attention.
The trucks would have ended up being sold through the light-commercial branch of Mercedes-Benz - the same folks that will happily sell you a Sprinter van - had the deal gone through. Issues arose, though, first with the engines. Mercedes wanted a wider range of powertrains to allow it to tune models for specific markets, while Nissan said it couldn't engineer the wide variety of engines that MB wanted to drop under the hood. For the smaller truck, meanwhile, MB was interested in a hybrid or plug-in variant, according to R&T, although this was also shot down by Nissan.
Carlsson SLK 340 Judd is winged up for hill climb glory
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Carlsson has been expertly tuning Mercedes-Benz products for more than 20 years now, but we can't say as we remember the outfit turning out anything quite so racy as this SLK 340 Judd that it has brought along to the Geneva Motor Show this year.
This SLK is meant for competition, obviously, and Carlsson has already booked the car to race in several hill climb events in the E1 category. The purpose-built racer should have a fighting chance to do well in said races, with a shape vetted in wind tunnel testing for maximum downforce, the SLK uses a carbon-fiber bodyshell to help achieve a curb weight of just about 1,720 pounds.
The featherweight SLK's name comes from its 3.4-liter V8 engine, which churns out a wicked 610 horsepower to go with its 317 pound-feet of torque. A Hewland transmission with paddle shift operation manages all of the thrust.
