2010 Mercedes Benz Ml 550 With Amg Package--private Seller--no Reserve Auction on 2040-cars
Nicholasville, Kentucky, United States
FOR SALE by private seller in Lexington, KY., is a 2010 Mercedes Benz ML 550, with AMG appearance package. This vehicle is a gorgeous Steel Gray (blue/gray tint) color with black Tex interior. This vehicle is a 2-owner as I purchased it with only 4,000 miles on it in Columbus, Ohio from a Toyota dealer who had taken it on trade from the original purchaser. The vehicle was purchased new at Crown MB in Dublin, Ohio. I am VERY particular about used cars that I buy and I researched the history of this vehicle before purchasing. This vehicle has 52,000 highway miles and is in fantastic condition. It has been garaged since purchased. It only has one scratch on it being a slight scratch on 2nd door on driver's side. This vehicle has a 5.5 litre V-8, is a beast, and will absolutely FLY down the road. I have routinely serviced this vehicle at James Motor Company in Lexington, KY. It has no issues whatsoever. I am only selling this vehicle because I need a bigger SUV to haul family in and have ordered a new one. Consequently, this one has to go! Here are some of the features of this vehicle which originally sold new for approximately $67,000:
* AMG appearance package containing upgraded wheels, flared wheel wells, grill and overall a muscular look. * MB P-II package * Lighting package with active Bi-Xenon headlamps * Class III trailer hitch * 255 50R19 Michelin tires with only 5,000 miles on them. These tires cost me approximately $1,600 and should last to at least 45,000 miles. They have been balanced and are in great condition. * Navigation System, with bluetooth phone. * Gorgeous Burl Walnut wood trim throughout with upgraded multi-function Burl Walnut wood steering wheel. * Upgraded stereo system. * Carpets are virtually perfect with no stains whatsoever. Comes with carpet mats and MB all-weather mats including cargo mat. * Multi-position tilt/sliding sunroof. * Roof rack. * 7-speed automatic transmission. * Tire pressure monitoring system. * Anti-theft alarm system. * Cargo cover. * Brushed aluminum running boards with rubber. * Heated front seats. * Exterior chrome trim. * Rear seat entertainment system pre-wire. * MB Teleaid system (similar to On Star system). * Other options too numerous to mention. This vehicle is priced to sell at or below wholesale with NO RESERVE. If you want a nice MB SUV, with great color combo, all options, fabulous engine, no issues of any kind (no mechanical, paint work, accidents, etc.), this is the one. My loss is your gain. I also have a set of snow tires which have been mounted on MB OEM wheels which came off a GL 450 that I would consider selling if you live in a snowy area. Just let me know. |

Mercedes mulling Renault-based entry-level X-Class?
Sun, 17 Mar 2013Somewhere in between the Smart brand and the all-new A-Class (pictured above), Daimler is said to be readying a smaller entry-level product for the Mercedes-Benz brand to compete with models like the Audi A1. According to AutoBild, Mercedes-Benz will get a new hatchback based on a platform from its recent partnership with Renault-Nissan, and it could be called the X-Class.
Expected to debut by 2018, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class could be offered in sedan, hatchback and crossover variants, and it would likely have a starting price below the $20,000-euro mark. Power would come from either a 1.0-liter inline three-cylinder engine or a 1.5-liter inline-four, and the car would likely be built in a low-cost nation in order to make the financials work. Wearing the Mercedes-Benz name, the X-Class would have to exhibit more distinguishable luxury and styling to set itself apart from the models that helped provide its underpinnings.
2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe
Wed, Dec 17 2014Conventional wisdom would dictate that adding more power and several key performance enhancements to an already very good car, like the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S550 Coupe, will end up equaling an even better car. In the case of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe, conventional wisdom sort of applies, but perhaps not as much as we'd have initially guessed. We'll get into the nitty gritty details in just a moment, but here's the most immediate takeaway we had in our minds as we walked away from this super coupe: The S63 AMG is excellent, but so is the slightly more mundane S550 Coupe on which it is based, and which is priced some $41,000 less expensive than its more powerful sibling. Chew on those figures while we examine what differentiates the two S-Class Coupes. Drive Notes As expected, the single greatest highlight of the 2015 S63 Coupe is its engine. As a powerplant, it's a gem. As a hand-built engineering exercise, its 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque are just as impressive in real life as they sound when recited from stat sheets. Not that the old CL63 AMG was lacking in power, but the new S63 AMG Coupe boasts 41 more horses and 74 more lb-ft than the outgoing engine. The run to 60 miles per hour takes a scant 3.9 seconds, according to M-B, aided in no small part by the car's 4Matic all-wheel-drive system and other assorted electronic brains deciding where, exactly, all those ponies should be sent. The rear-biased system is tuned to send two-thirds of the engine's power to the rear wheels in a bid to make the car feel more like what performance-minded drivers expect. Top speed is electronically limited to 186 miles per hour, which is plenty fast enough, even in the days of 200-plus-mph sedans from M-B's former corporate cousin Dodge. We didn't get anywhere near the car's maximum velocity, but our brief trips into triple-digit territory were quiet, comfortable and completely free of drama. The seven-speed automatic gearbox responds quickly to requests of your right foot, but the steering wheel-mounted paddles don't change gears as quickly as we'd like when in Manual mode. Controlled Efficiency (which we'd call Comfort) maximizes efficiency, keeping the transmission in higher gears and shifting earlier than when in Sport mode, and we didn't find much fault with the computer's shifting algorithms in either setting.
2021 Mercedes-Maybach S 580 revealed as the biggest, most luxurious S-Class
Thu, Nov 19 2020The Mercedes-Maybach GLS-Class made a splash recently as the company's ultra-luxury crossover. But if you're a well-heeled individual looking for the true peak of Mercedes luxury, there's no replacement for the 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S 580, the biggest, fanciest sedan the company can produce. You'll be able to identify the land yacht thanks to a number of styling tweaks. The grille gets slender vertical chrome bars, and the lower intakes feature a chrome mesh. Topping the grille is a Mercedes hood ornament. The hood is restyled, too, with a center ridge running front to back with a line of chrome trim. Besides these styling tweaks, the Mercedes-Maybach has had its wheelbase stretched a full seven inches, with the space going to rear passenger room. The stretch also included rear quarter windows. Just behind those windows are illuminated Mercedes-Maybach badges. The car can also be optioned with an array of exclusive wheels and two-tone paint. The two-tone paint jobs can take up to a week to complete. Of course, the interior is what really sets the Mercedes-Maybach apart from the "average" S-Class. All examples come standard with Mercedes Designo leather upholstery, and even the headliner is finished in leather. Like other S-Class models, there is an air freshener function, and Mercedes has saved a special scent specific to the Maybach. The front seat backs are covered in wood trim to enhance the design. Rear occupants get individual 11.6-inch screens for entertainment, as well as a removable tablet for controlling various car functions. Passengers get to enjoy a 1,750-watt, 30-speaker Burmester sound system, which won't be interrupted by outside noises thanks to additional sound deadening materials around the rear arches, thicker laminated quarter windows and active noise cancelling. Foam-filled tires and laminated glass around the rest of the car are options. Speaking of options, there aren't many, but they're also quite lavish. The one we expect to be quite popular is the executive rear seating. It replaces the rear bench with two reclining chairs complete with power leg rests. These leg rests even feature massage functions, a first for the S-Class. The seats come with climate adjustments and several massage settings. The option also adds seatbelt airbags and frontal airbags for the rear passengers. Other interior options include a refrigerator, champagne flutes and electrically assisted rear doors for easier entry and exit.
