DESCRIPTION:  This is a very, very clean and well maintained 2008 Mercedes Benz ML320 diesel.  It looks great and drives even better.  It is a one owner vehicle and comes with a clean CarFax and some service history.  Don't let the mileage fool you, this car looks like no one ever sat in the back seat.  It comes complete with the automatic shiftable seven speed transmission, the safety of all wheel drive, ESP traction control, four zone automatic climate control, Satellite radio, factory navigation, heated seats for cold weather comfort, convenient one touch power glass sunroof, one touch power windows, a concert quality sound system with C/D and Harman Kardon speakers, four good Pirelli tires with lots of deep tread, front air bags, side air bags, cruise control, fog lights, sporty alloy wheels, tilt steering wheel,, convenient steering wheel controls, fold down back seats for lots of carrying space (see pictures), and much more.

You will also appreciate the economical 3.0 liter 6 cylinder turbo diesel engine very time you fuel up

CONDITION: This is an excellent car that appears to have always been garaged and exceptional well maintained.  The clean CarFax confirms the car has no recalls and was never in an accident.  It is a one owner vehicle and even comes with some service history.  Our Mercedes Benz factory trained tech has safety inspected and road tested her.  She fires up with the first turn of the key and goes through all seven gears with ease.  She tracks down the road perfectly and is a joy to drive.  All the belts and hoses have been inspected and all the fluids have been topped up, right down to the windshield fluid.  She comes with the original books and owners manual.  This is a beautiful car that should be a reliable member of your family for many years to come.

The exterior is in great condition with very, very few flaws.  There are only some very minor blemishes to tell you about on this vehicle.  The two center caps on the drivers side wheels are cloudy. There are some scratches on the passenger side rear door (see picture) and just above the right side front wheel.  There are also two scratches below the door handle on the drivers side rear door and a small dime size dimple below the drivers outside rear view mirror.  You will also find some small rock chips in the front nose but nothing excessive or unusual for a 2008 vehicle.  Most of these blemishes are so minor they don't even show up in the pictures.  In fact, I might be nit-picking the car a bit.

The interior is almost new.  The seats, carpeting, headliner, center console, dashboard and wood trim are all in excellent condition with no rips, tears, burns (this was a non-smokers car), cracks, or stains.  The rear cargo area looks like it was rarely used.  There are two small stains but I doubt you can even see them in the two pictures (hint, their on the left side).  Again, the car looks almost new!  It even comes with a full set of four newish floor mats.

Don't hesitate on this one.  Please feel free to email or call (937) 298-3456 if you have any questions.  If you are in the Dayton, Ohio area you are welcome to come see the car in person.  We are the Foreign Exchange, Inc., a family owned business selling and servicing highline import automobiles since 19725.

Fastest cars in the world by top speed, 0-60 and quarter mile

Tue, Feb 13 2024

A claim for the title of “Fastest Car in the World” might seem easy to settle. ItÂ’s actually anything but: Are we talking production cars, race cars or customized monsters? And what does “fastest” even mean? For years, car publications have tended to define “fastest” in terms of an unbeatable top speed. ThatÂ’s distinct from the “quickest” car in a Usain Bolt-style dash from the starting blocks, as with the familiar 0-60 mph metric. Professionals often focus on track lap times or elapsed time-to-distance, as with a drag racer thatÂ’s first to trip the beam of light at the end of a quarter-mile; or the 1,000-foot trip of nitromethane-powered NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car dragsters. Something tells us, however, that you're not seeking out an answer of "Brittany Force rewriting the NHRA record books with a 3.659-second pass at a boggling 338.17 mph." For most barroom speed arguments, the focus is firmly on cars you can buy in showrooms, even if many are beyond the financial means of all but the wealthiest buyers and collectors. Here are some of the enduring sources of speed claims, counter-claims, tall tales and taunting dismissals that are the lifeblood of car enthusiasts – now with EVs adding an unexpected twist to these passionate pursuits.   Fastest from the blocks: 0-60 mph Thirty years ago, any car that could clock 60 mph in five seconds or less was considered extremely quick. Today, high-performance, gasoline-powered sedans and SUVs are routinely breaking below 4 seconds. As of today, the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 crushes all with a 0-60 mph time of just 1.66 seconds. That's simply absurd, but keep in mind the Demon was engineered with the single-minded purpose of going fast in a straight line. It's also important to realize that direct comparisons are difficult, because not all of these times were accomplished with similar conditions (prepped surfaces, adjustments for elevation and so on). The moral here is to take these times with a tiny grain of salt. After the Dodge, the Rimac Nevera comes in with an officially recorded 0-60 mph time of just 1.74 seconds. EVs crowd the quickest list, with the Pininfarina Battista coming in a few hundredths slower (1.79 seconds) than the Nevera and the Lucid Air sapphire (1.89 seconds) right after that. Eventually, you arrive to the Tesla Model S Plaid, which has a claimed 1.99-second 0-60 mph time, though instrumented testing by Car and Driver shows it accomplishes the deed in 2.1 seconds.

Mercedes giving SL a nose job

Tue, Dec 9 2014

Mercedes tends to keep its SL roadster around longer than most models. The previous fifth-generation machine was launched in 2001, underwent a facelift in 2009 and stuck around until 2012. That's when the current model was introduced, and before it's replaced, Benz is expected to roll out another facelifted version. And that seems to be exactly what we're looking at here. Expected to arrive sometime in 2016 as a 2017 model, the updated SL will likely feature revised styling front and rear (along with updated interior equipment). This prototype appears to be wearing headlights from the new S-Class Coupe, which don't fit precisely, but then Daimler still has a couple of years to get everything just right.
