1998 Mercedes Benz Ml320 (ml 320) Runs Good V-6 Leather Seats, Green/beige Inter on 2040-cars
Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, United States
We owned this vehicle the early 2000’s and have maintained it since then. I bought it from a dealer in Ohio and we flew out (my son and I) to Cleveland to pick it up. I had for over eleven (11) years and still find it drivable as any other car. It has pickup---and V-6 engine and yes, requires 12 spark plugs—crazy German engineering!
Some of the features include:
Engine: V6 3.2 Liter Automatic Transmission 4WD Traction Control ABS (4 Wheels) Air Conditioning Power Windows Power Door Locks Cruise Control Power Steering Tilt Wheel Dual and Side Air Bags AM/FM Stereo Multi player CD/ Cassette It runs smooth and has a small amount of issues. First there are some cosmetic issues—surface flash rusting on some of the wheel panels and on the wheels. The plastic plate which controls the seat adjustment in the back on the passenger side has a crack which only affects the cosmetic appearance. The inside dome light on the driver side needs to be fixed. And the back passenger side on the driver’s side will make a loud noise when the remote lock is depressed. If you’re only opening the driver’s door---there is no noise when depressing the key.
The back wheels are painted aluminum on steel wheels and on the passenger side there is some rust. This wheel has blistered and will need to be sanded and painted as it is causing a slow leak from the rust on that wheel. The glove box doesn’t work as it is missing a latch so I duct taped it shut. The water light and ETS light come on while running. The ETS has always come on and my mechanic stated it will be no problem with its drivability. The water light comes on but I attribute that to a bad sensor with the water pressure. I did replace the water pump and sensor as well as the fan clutch, hoses and belt all last year. Included was the fan belt tensioner pulley and oil cooler. Also I put in a new battery -quite expensive but lasts a many years unlike conventional cars. I di buy an used Air smog pump on eBay and replaced the old original one. It doesn't seem to really improve the pickup. I was tempted to remove it all the way for better performance, but I didn't. Also
I just put on new brake pads on the front and back wheels. I have the original air box, if needed, as we have an improvised air filter on it now--(for faster pickup). It does not overheat, the A/C is running cold, and it has great performance.
I personally took very good care of this SUV and personally maintained the oil changes every three to six months. It has a big engine and takes only Mobil One oil (0-40). The engine is in great shape and probably will run another 180,000 miles with no failure. I have maintained the fluids (topping them off or replacing them) every three or four weeks religiously and this engine should last a long time if you take care of it as I did,. It has leather electrically-adjustable seats which are also heated. It is a great ride if yo.u maintain it and check its oil and water levels every month. I offer no warranties and am selling it as-is. I am sure that the individual parts are worth much more than my asking price for the whole vehicle. This SUV won't last long on the marketplace as it has many options and parts which, if piece-mealed, could offer the buyer many more times his or her returns. It has about 185,000-186,000 miles and has been well maintained. As any older car it has its occasional issues. I just spent over $1,000 on inspection-- replacing the front ball joints and one of the main brake lines. It is inspected until 2015 but will eventually need some new tires. It will need new tires and the other brake line inspected and/or repaired soon. Also I have only one remote key for it.
Please review the pictures and email with any questions. I am more than ready to offer more pictures if need be. I am getting old and will be getting my wife into a lease deal as I am tired of working on cars. I do also have a 1986 Jeep CJ-7 with 68,000 original miles for sale. Once these two vehicles are out of the garage, my wife will be happy. Which means more rewarding and quiet sleep for me! I offer free local pickup in the 19053 zip code. I am just north of Philadelphia, PA. Please check out my other estate items up for auction this month. Thanks and God Bless. Watch this perfectly nice Mercedes get crushed by a front-end loader
Mon, 25 Mar 2013In a world where the YouTube hoax continues to thrive, it's hard to know what to think of this little vid, but here are the facts as we know them: a coupe that looks like a first-generation Mercedes-Benz CLK gets crushed by a giant front-end loader. There you have it.
Our questions arise in the aftermath - we know industrial resource machinery is heavy, but the Benz gets squashed so flat we wonder if someone's trying to play a joke on us. We hear that the white coupe may have been the heavy-equipment operator's foreman's car, but who knows? The on-camera interview seems awfully conveniently placed, yes? See for yourself in the video below and then leave us your thoughts in Comments.
2016 Singapore Grand Prix Race Recap | Setting the stage for the final rounds
Mon, Sep 19 2016The Singapore Grand Prix always features a safety car. This year the nation-state got caution out of the way early: seconds after the lights went out, Toro Rosso's Carlos Sainz collided with Force India's Nico Hulkenberg, sending Hulk into the wall minus a wheel and some bodywork. The safety car led the field for three laps, then ducked into the pits so abruptly that a track marshal was still retrieving debris as race leader Nico Rosberg hit the throttle down the front straight. Rosberg avoided the pedestrian on his way to a two-second lead over Daniel Ricciardo in the Red Bull, Lewis Hamilton in the second Mercedes-AMG Petronas, and Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen. On Lap 8 of the 61-lap race Mercedes engineers warned Rosberg and Hamilton about brake management. Rosberg had no trouble until the waning laps of the race, his teammate inadvertently the cause. Raikkonen got ahead of Hamilton on Lap 33 while Hamilton nursed his car. Trying to get Hamilton back in front of the Ferrari, Mercedes pitted Hamilton on Lap 46 and also ordered him to turn his engine up. Ferrari debated for a lap about whether to bring Raikkonen in, finally issuing a last-second order to pit. The Finn emerged behind Hamilton, but executing the trick to get Hamilton back into third gave Ricciardo breathing room in second place. Red Bull brought Ricciardo in on Lap 48 for a set of super soft Pirellis. Returning to the track 25 seconds behind Rosberg, Ricciardo cut from one to four seconds out of that gap on every lap. By Lap 59 the Aussie was little more than a second behind the German. Had the race gone three more laps, Ricciardo might have pulled off the upset. This time Rosberg stayed in front to win his third race in a row and his first victory in Singapore, all in his 200th grand prix. Ricciardo and Hamilton completed the podium; Raikkonen claimed fourth. Sebastian Vettel wrangled an incredible fifth place after starting last; the German set the worst time on the grid when his suspension broke in Q1. Max Verstappen, having lost places at the start due to wheelspin again, recovered for sixth. Fernando Alonso made the most of his McLaren with seventh, ahead of Sergio Perez in the lone remaining Force India, a resurgent Daniil Kvyat in the Toro Rosso, and Kevin Magnussen scoring Renault's second points finish of the season. Hamilton has not had a good time of it since the end of the summer break – engine troubles in Belgium, a botched start in Italy, and zero rhythm in Singapore.
Weekly Recap: An '80s encore in the auto world
Sat, Jul 11 2015The '80s returned in a big way this week, as National Lampoon's, Ghostbusters, Miami Vice, and even Tetris were back in the news. While there were far more serious topics (see below), nostalgia mingled with modern marketing to put these Reagan-era favorites back in the spotlight. The '80s were alternately cold and corny at times, but their cultural touchstones can still generate big money. That's why Infiniti recreated an iconic scene from National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) for an advertisement that hawks the QX60 crossover. Actor Ethan Embry, who played Rusty Griswold in a later Lampoon's movie, pilots the Infiniti – which is serving as a modern Family Truckster – for a trip to Walley World. A blonde pulls alongside in a red Lamborghini. They flirt, and she drives on. Christie Brinkley, who played the original girl in the red sports car (she drove a Ferrari in the '83 flick), is riding shotgun and chides Embry with: "A blonde. In a convertible. Seriously?" Okay, it's hardly on the level of "here's looking at you," or even "you can't handle the truth," but it should resonate with '80s babies, many of whom are now having children of their own and moving into three-row SUVs like the QX60. Naturally, Hollywood is going back to the well, too, with a Vacation remake that premiers July 29. Meanwhile, Ghostbusters is returning next year, and director Paul Feig offered a peak at the new Eco-1 in this tweet. In the 1984 classic, the team drove a modified 1959 Cadillac. Now, it will drive a late '80s Cadillac. As expected, the announcement generated support and controversy from movie and car enthusiasts. His tweet had generated several thousand retweets and favorites in the days following the news. Though the '80s Caddy looks, uh, less elegant in comparison to the now-iconic fins and curves of the original Ecto-1, it's about the same time lapse into the past as the '59 Caddy was to viewers in 1984. Speaking of 1984, Miami Vice, which debuted that year on NBC, is seeing one of its hero cars hit the auction block, Mecum Auctions announced this week. The 1986 Ferrari used on the show will be offered for sale Aug. 15 during Monterey classic car week. The white supercar runs a 390-hp flat 12-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission and was in storage after the show ended in 1989 until earlier this year. It has 16,124 miles on the odometer and is authenticated by Ferrari North America and Classiche.
