This auction is for a 2012 CLS550. It is Palladium Silver with Almond Mocha interior. The car is in excellent condition.
The car is fully loaded with anything you can imagine. following are some of the packages Premium package which includes iPod/MP3 media interface w/cable, rearview camera, heated/ventilated front seats w/comfort headrests, power rear window sunshade, adaptive highbeam assist, full LED headlamps, KEYLESS-GO, and power trunk closer. Driver Assistance package (997) which includes Distronic adaptive cruise control, PRE-Safe brake, active blind spot assist and active lane keeping assist. Trunklid Spoiler Active Multicontour seat w/massage Leather wrapped dash and doors, split folding rear seats, sunroof, wood leather steering wheel with paddle shifters Parktronic with active parking assist which parallel parks the car itself (really neat) Harmon Kardon sound system The only option it really doesn't have is night vision. It has a 7 speed transmission and air suspension with Comfort and Sport mode. The
wheels in the pics are Asanti AF135 with chrome lips and brushed aluminum centers. The rear
wheels are 20x11 with 305/25/20 Hankook tires 20x9.5 with 255/30/20 Hankook brand new tires. I also
have the 19" upgraded stock wheels with brand new Pirelli tires. The front
grille is color matched and the side markers smoked. The Asanti wheels
have some swirl marks and a few chips. The factory 19's are spotless. I paid $4800 for the wheels and tires and have the receipt for the interested party in order to insure them. I currently have the stock 19's on the car due to winter and the tires on the stock rims are almost new. The Asanti wheels do not come with the car. The wheels can be bought separately for the party interested. The car comes with the Mercedes 19's. The car is very clean and all the maintenance has been performed up to date. Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels
Thu, 24 Jan 2013The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.

Germany says nein to EU ban on new fossil-fuel cars from 2035
Tue, Jun 21 2022BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's government will not agree to European Union plans to effectively ban the sale of new cars with combustion engines from 2035, Finance Minister Christian Lindner said on Tuesday. In its bid to cut planet-warming emissions by 55% by 2030 from 1990 levels, the European Commission has proposed a 100% reduction in CO2 emissions from new cars by 2035. That means it would be impossible to sell combustion engine cars from then. European Parliament lawmakers backed the proposals this month, before negotiations with EU countries on the final law take place. Speaking at an event hosted by Germany's BDI industry association, Lindner said there would continue to be niches for combustion engines so a ban was wrong and said the government would not agree to this European legislation. Lindner, a member of the pro-business Free Democrats, which shares power with the Social Democrats and Greens, said Germany would still be a leading market for electric vehicles.
