Hello all , went to order my new CLA-250 and as you might imagine the dealer wants to rape me on the trade in value so then he can sell it to you at a huge mark-up,

I'm not a dealer so please ask any questions you might have. I've owned the car since around April 2010 and used it as my sexy weekend top down cruise around the city (& State) car.

The color combo is unique and beautiful sky blue with tan interior with navy convertible top. The enigine purrs like a kitten and I've had no major engine work done. I've not been in an accident and I have a clear and clean carfax. I have the detailed report from Carmax, I just took it this weekend for an appraisal after leaving the Mercedes dealership.  You should also note that eventhough the carfax says 4 owners I'm really the second owner as 2 were car auctions (one from who I bought it from who purchased for his wife but she  had trouble seeing out the back when top was up)  so he sold it to me.

I would like a fair price for my car and would love someone to enjoy and be good to it as I have. Intersted parties only. Lets make a deal.

Car is in South Miami near University of Miami. Not sure what else to say so ask your questions. I'll answer quickly.

***** DEALER I AM BUYING MY CAR FROM TOLD ME WE CAN FINANCE THE TRANSACTION THROUGH THEM IF I FIND A QUALIFIED BUYER (NOT SURE HOW IT WORKS BUT WE CAN ASK) *** IF YOU'RE INTERESTED EMAIL ME AND WE CAN DO A CONFERENCE CALL. ****

Mercedes previews sleek concept for CES

Wed, Dec 31 2014

It was over two months ago that we spotted a mysterious cloaked prototype said to belong to Mercedes, but we didn't know much about it at the time. And we still don't, but at least the German automaker has given us an idea of what to look forward to. Released on Facebook is this teaser image showing a silhouette of what appears to be that same concept car. The image is accompanied only by these few words: "The future will be bolder than you've ever imagined" and tagged by an accompanying #mbCES - which tells us only that, a) it's futuristic, which we already knew, and b) that it's coming to the CES, set to be held around a week from now in Las Vegas. The sleek one-box design appears to have some sort of appendage atop its roof – just the kind of periscope that might house, say, some cameras – leading to speculation that the idea behind this concept would be to showcase autonomous driving technology. We'd also be surprised if it weren't electric powered and – given the backdrop for its reveal – all the technology Daimler can throw at it. But one way or another, we'll be finding out soon, so watch this space. News Source: Mercedes-Benz via Facebook CES Mercedes-Benz Technology Concept Cars

Mercedes out to defend its F1 crown with new W06 Hybrid Silver Arrow

Sun, Feb 1 2015

They say there's only one way to go when you're on top, and that's down. That's the direction in which every other team on the Formula One grid will be trying to push Mercedes this season, but the defending champions will be doing their best to stay on top. What you see here is the embodiment of that effort. After taking pole position at all but one race last season, the checkered flag at all but three and an impressive dozen one-two finishes, the new Mercedes AMG F1 W06 Hybrid will have one heck of an act to follow. In accordance with the only major change to the sporting regulations for 2015, the most obvious difference over last year's W05 is the revised front end, but the team insists it worked hard over the winter to optimize everything underneath that silver and teal bodywork, from the suspension to the turbocharged hybrid power unit and everything in between. One of only two teams (alongside Ferrari) on the grid this season to develop its own engine in-house, the Mercedes PU106A proved practically unbeatable last season. And with engine development all but completely frozen in the off-season, its innovations are likely to prove just as insurmountable this year. But as team principal Toto Wolff puts it, in quoting Babe Ruth, "Yesterday's home runs don't win today's games." While nothing's for certain in one of the world's the most competitive arenas, chances are still high that Mercedes will continue to dominate this season just as it did the last. The most gripping battle, then, may very well be waged once again between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, whose rivalry started long before either got their start in F1, from karting and up through the ranks of the lower formulae. Though Lewis was just crowned world champion for the second time, Nico has been with the Mercedes team for longer, has been in F1 for longer and didn't give up on chasing Lewis all of last season – so don't expect him to this year, either. MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Gets Back to Work with the new F1 W06 Hybrid Silver Arrow Jerez, Feb 01, 2015 The MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team today unveiled its 2015 Formula One World Championship challenger, the F1 W06 Hybrid, ahead of the first day of pre-season testing at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain.

UK workers strand car on island of asphalt to keep working

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

Generally speaking, when you illegally park your car, you're likely to get ticketed and towed, but there is probably at least one motorist in Scotland who wishes that was the case. After workers had blocked off a portion of the parking lot for the Edinburgh Waverley railway station, the driver of this Mercedes-Benz S-Class reportedly moved some of the barriers to park in one of the empty spots.
Rather than having the vehicle towed, the work crew simply tore up the asphalt around the leaving just the one parking spot intact, and as you can see in the image above (posted to the Twitter account of Harold Norstad), the crew even built a small asphalt ramp so the car could get off its blacktop pedestal. Since this happened last week, there's no word as to whether the car was eventually moved or towed for the resurfacing work to continue.
Let this be a warning...
