I am selling my personal 2005 CL65---

In all the cars I have owned- these 65 AMG'S have been the most reliable and most pleasant to drive and own.

Only 184 of these cars were built from 2005-2006   They are rarer then a Bugatti Veyron which only 300 were built

My car has been garage kept and the interior and exterior are in better then excellent condition
Infact this car has zero rattles or creaks and is very impressive to drive.

This car has been to the track and was run 3 times to get an idea of the modifications that were installed.

*****The car ran a 10.76@131mph which is quicker then a semi modified GTR and equally as quick as a brand new AVENTADOR Lamborghini
Not bad for a car with a/c seats that massage. And that rides softer and quieter then a brand new LEXUS or BENTLEY

This car runs and drives very much like a 20k mile car....Every aspect of this car shows quality in all respect-- even the dash board and every other part of the interior you touch is full on Nappa leather-- the best in the world.... these cars are built INCREDIBLY well and if a lexus can see 200k miles then 85k miles on a Mercedes is simply just a number- This car also came from Nevada before me and not California or New York therefore the ABC is in perfect condition and has not had any issues according to the VMI-- road conditions and climate play a large factor in the wear and tear of any car. I am a strict buyer as I will not buy a car from LA or NYC at all.

THE CL65 truly is a supercar- luxury car- sports car and damn awesome looking car WHICH still turns heads and has that expensive car appeal to it.

Things I have done to car since my purchase-

**New brakes on all 4 corners including rotors $4300

**Brand new Rebuilt Transmission with Renntech clutch pack- it can handle 1000hp

**Rear carbon diffuser and rear carbon trunk spoiler which only 10 were ever made aftermarket for these cars $900

**Front mount Heat Exchanger which diverts heat from the intercoolers $700

**A LSD rearend which gives the car a full amount of traction versus the stock rear one wheel only $5500

**Renntech tune with Tcu $2500

**Custom stainless exhaust with 200 cell CATS and chrome stainless mufflers-- $2500

**Larger intercooler water circulation pump- 5x more volume then factory pump $300

**Bead blasted all 4 stock wheels and paint them metallic black with 2 coats of clear $800

**4 brand new TOYO proxy T1 tires $1100

Infiniti went out of its way to make the QX30 not a Mercedes

Thu, Mar 16 2017

You can complain all you want about perceived badge engineering when a company (like Mercedes-Benz) sells a platform to another brand (such as Infiniti). The reality is that most buyers won't know the difference, and they won't even realize their Infiniti is really a Mercedes underneath or that their neighbor's GLA has the same basic parts as the QX30 they just bought. What's weird to me isn't that sameness, but the places where the two cute little utes differ. These two vehicles, which are more like tall hatchbacks, use the same Mercedes 2.0-liter turbo four and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Infiniti adds its own throttle and transmission calibrations. The suspension design is the same, although there are tuning differences. Both come standard with front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive an option. Fuel economy matches for the FWD models, while the AWD Infiniti lags behind the Mercedes for some reason. So they're very similar despite their different looks. And design makes sense as a point of differentiation. Frankly, they go further than a lot of vehicles on shared platforms do – further, in fact, than the upcoming Nissan Navara-based Mercedes X-Class pickup does. The QX30 has its own sheetmetal and glass to separate it from the GLA-class. You probably think one looks better than the other. If you know where to look, the signs of sameness are obvious. Most major systems and pieces are shared, like the steering wheels (with different center covers), most switchgear, and things like interior and exterior door handles. Shared parts are fine as long as the parts are good ones. On that note, how many Tesla buyers realize their steering column and stalks, plus the window switches, come from Mercedes? And does that actually matter? We'd argue no. About those differences. Many are functional, like the fact the Infiniti does not carry over the Benz's Brake Hold feature – when you roll to a stop in the GLA (or any other Benz), pressing the brake pedal firmly applies the electric parking brake until you hit the gas to move again. The QX30 has an electric parking brake, but no Brake Hold feature. Someone used to driving Mercedes models will look a bit silly standing on the brake pedal to no effect. Ask us how we know. The Mercedes gauge package is carried over, but with the Infiniti font. Makes sense, although it's off-putting at first if you've seen the original, prompting a weird deja vu. Circular dash vents are replaced by rhomboid ones.

Sunday Drive: And now for something completely different

Sun, Dec 17 2017

This past week played host to a wide assortment of automotive news, highlighted by our first drive of the 2018 Volvo XC40. The Swedish crossover is targeted at young, successful Millennials, but it offers cool styling, fun dynamics, and all of today's must-have technology, so we think it ought to appeal to a much wider swath of the automotive marketplace. From there we answer the question, "What are hard on the outside and soft on the inside?" as we take a look at the next Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV. We expect the German automaker's flagship luxury SUV to remain boxy on the outside, but the interior is going to be soft, supple, and luxurious. And then there's the Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid, which starts at starts at $34,290 and boasts 212 total system horsepower, 232 pound-feet of torque, 47 miles of electric driving range, and a total range of 340 miles. EPA rates it at 110 MPGe in EV mode, and 44 city/40 highway/42 combined overall. We compare it to other plug-ins like the Chevy Volt and Toyota Prius Prime. And finally we have some more spy photos of the 2019 Ram 1500. It doesn't have a traditional crosshair grille, but it's got plenty of chrome and an attractive upright stance that's sure to tempt future truck buyers looking for some sophistication to go with their work gloves. As always, stay tuned to Autoblog this week to see all the automotive news that's fit to print. 2018 Volvo XC40 First Drive Review | The Masspirational crossover Mercedes-Benz G-Class gets the luxe, high-tech treatment 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid Review | It's what's on the inside that counts 2019 Ram 1500 shows chrome grille and more production parts Green Honda Mercedes-Benz RAM Volvo Technology Truck Crossover SUV Luxury Performance Sedan volvo xc40 sunday drive

Mercedes-AMG planning hybrid hypercar?

Mon, Jan 19 2015

It used to be that, a few overlapping two-door models aside, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche didn't really compete with one another. That's how the two ended up collaborating on projects like the Mercedes 500 E that put it on the performance sedan map without fear of stepping on each other's toes. But Porsche has grown considerably since then, challenging its Stuttgart neighbor with four-door sedans and crossovers, as well as sports coupes and convertibles. Little wonder, then, that Mercedes has hit back at Porsche with the AMG GT, and there will be many more versions to follow in 911 style. But that may not be the final salvo the Silver Star marque launches at Zuffenhausen. According to the latest bit of speculation and deduction from our friends at Motor Trend, Mercedes-AMG may be planning a hybrid hypercar of its own to take on the Porsche 918 Spyder – not to mention the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari. Solid information is sparse at this point, but after speaking to AMG chief Tobias Moers, MT speculates that the new flagship will likely be mid-engined, with a boosted version of the company's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 kicking out between 650 and 700 horsepower, working with a pair of electric motors at the front to deliver tenacious through-the-road all-wheel traction and a combined output in the thousand-horsepower range. There is the possibility, though, that Mercedes could go after the latest hybrid hypercars with a flagship version of its just-launched AMG GT, packing a similar powertrain setup as the ultimate evolution of the breed. Other GT versions will likely soon include a GT3 racing model, a Black Series version and a roadster – following a similar path taken not only by the 911, but also by Benz's previous halo supercars like the SLR McLaren and SLS AMG.
