For sale is my IMMACULATE 2005 Mercedes Benz CL65 AMG, with just over 65,600 miles. This car really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. I have meticulously maintained this vehicle mechanically and physically, inside and out. This car has all the options, including Keyless Go and front/rear parking sensors, which are great options that a lot of these cars don’t have. Since this is my second car, I only use it about once a week, so it is always garage kept and is never left in the sun. I paid for this car in full when I purchased it, so there are no liens and I have the Title in hand, which will make for an easier transaction. Due to the nature of my business, I need to get an SUV and sell the CL65.

Below is a list of work that has been recently done to the car:

  • Complete transmission rebuild with 2 yr warranty (torque converter, pump, seals, clutches, etc.)

  • Left and right front shocks

  • Replacement of motor mounts

  • AC Service and recharge

  • Radiator Fan Assembly

  • Complete set of new factory spark plugs (24 plugs)

  • Service “B”

  • K&N drop-in air filters

  • Brand new AMG floor mats purchased at the Dealer

  • Brand new spare “Keyless Go” key ordered from the dealer

  • Custom mandrel-bent exhaust downpipe (original catalytic converters are included if requested)

  • New TCU connector

  • New trunk lid shocks

  • Suspension lowering links (original links are included or can be reinstalled)

All the parts, service and labor listed above total over $11,000. Receipts and service records can be provided upon request. As you can see in the picture, the car comes with all the original books and manuals.

As far as performance modifications, the 3 mods I have done to the car are lowering links (which improves the whole look of the car), drop-in K&N air filters and a custom mandrel-bent exhaust downpipe professionally installed right behind the turbos, which enables the turbos to breath much better and spool faster. The downpipe also makes the car sound really good, much better than stock in my opinion.

The only areas on the interior of the vehicle that show any kind of normal wear are the left side of the driver’s seat cushion and the arm rest on the driver’s side door (seen in pictures).  In my opinion, both areas are much less worn than the average amount of wear of a vehicle with similar or even less mileage. The rest of the interior is almost flawless and looks practically un-used. The front windshield doesn’t have any kind of chips or scratches at all, not even one imperfection.

If anyone has any questions or would like any additional information about the car, please don’t hesitate to message me or call me at 561-843-4104. To arrange a local showing of the car, please try to let me know one day in advance. Thanks, Brandon.

Cigarette Racing unveils the AMG GT S-inspired 50-foot Marauder

Sat, Feb 14 2015

The Cigarette Racing stand at the Miami Boat Show this morning hosted the latest in the eight-year collaboration between Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing: the AMG GT S parked next to the fast-boat it inspired, the Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept. The vinyl ester resin and fiberglass go-fast boat is more than a matching Solarbeam yellow paint job with the coupe that inspired it. Like other carmakers who have partnered with companies outside the industry - such as Nissan's recent tie-up with NASA - there's an exchange of technology involved; Cigarette said that working with AMG on composites and bonding helped them drop 1,000 pounds off the Marauder GT S Concept compared to the standard Marauder twin-engine, which comes in at 14,200 pounds. Customers who order standard Marauders can request the weight reduction (for a price), but we were told that unless they plan to spend most of their time above 100 miles per hour, the extra weight contributes to a smoother ride. Mercedes head designer Gordon Wagener penned the exterior paint job and worked with Cigarette to design the cockpit trim, which would have seen him in familiar surroundings: Cigarette Racing owner Skip Braver is a long-time AMG customer, and the boat company based its bespoke department on the AMG Design Studio in Affalterbach. Every one of its boats is handbuilt in its factory in Opa-locka, Florida using some of the same processes seen in automaking, like bar codes to track the progress of hulls and components, computer controlled paint samples with digital files that can be sent around the world for matching, and doing all the stitching in-house to keep tabs on quality control. The engine compartment holds two, nine-liter, four-valve, DOHC, quad-cam, twin-turbocharged Mercury Racing engines with all-aluminum blocks, each one of them good for an electronically-limited 1,550 pound-feet of torque, and either 1,350 horsepower or 1,550 horsepower depending on whether you run regular 91-octane fuel or 116-octane race fuel. So yes, that's 3,100 hp and 3,100 lb-ft at once, if you go all out. Mercury says they're the most powerful powerful emissions-certified gas-powered marine engines you can buy. The engines don't have knock sensors, though, so you have to turn a key to register the kind of fuel you're putting in, and you can switch from one to the other when two 150-gallon tanks are down to 10-percent full.

Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4 is a 6x6-2 [w/video]

Wed, Mar 4 2015

In terms of truly badass off-roaders, it doesn't get much cooler than the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6. After all, the thing has three axles powering six wheels, not to mention an AMG-tuned V8 that makes the truck pretty much unstoppable. Call it an exercise in excess, if you will, but we call it super cool. And now, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes is showing off a slightly less outrageous version of its insane off-roader, called the G500 4x42. And by "slightly less outrageous," we pretty much mean, "with one fewer axle." Sure, there have been some other changes, too – namely under the hood, where the AMG's twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 has been removed in favor of a new, twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, good for 422 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. Off road, this thing should be a freaking beast. It can ford depths up to 39 inches, the approach angle is 53 degrees, departure is 54, and the breakover is 47. Talk about all-terrain. Plus, it looks freaking cool, with 22-inch wheels on 325/55-series tires (which can be swapped for a set of 18-inch wheels on 37-inch beadlock tires). We even love the lime green paint it wore upon debut, and are kind of sad the Geneva showcar is painted in this less-awesome silver. Either way, it's certainly a creation to behold. Check it out. Near-series show car G 500 4x42: The G-Class Squared Stuttgart, Feb 21, 2015 -- Only a G-Class can be better than a G-Class. This is the credo followed by the developers with the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6x6, and they are now stepping up a gear with the G 500 4x42. The basic recipe for this overcomer of everything is simple: take the superior all-wheel-drive powertrain including portal axles from the 6x6 – take away one axle – and blend it all with a newly-developed variable chassis and the series-production G-Class body. A large pinch of V8 power with 310 kW (422 hp), a set of 22-inch 325/55 R 22-sized wheels, carbon-fibre body parts and then just gourmet ingredients from the seductive designo Exclusive range for the interior – and the 5-star menu for all off-road enthusiasts is ready. A new addition to the extreme G-Class model family: the G 63 AMG 6x6 has a model brother in the form of the G 500 4x42. The near-series show car is a new highlight in the superlative-rich history of the G-Class and blends all the advantages of the model series.
